fun fact if ishin's amon were real that would mean that he'd be the first ever recorded user of sunglasses since they would be invented 60 years after the events of Ishin
I know the vid is old but I wanna add: it's better to use the war god amulet (or equipment with its symbol) and just hold L2 (to prevent heat actions). This makes the second phase easier since you can just spam the sword's special heat ability at him for invincibility and pretty good damage.
I don't have the towel no more didn't kno I was going to need it at this point but the sword I got for doing the sub stories is 325 trying to max it out
As long as you can get to the second phase one way or another, the sword tactic I show works fine for the entire second half of the fight. I would still recommend using your bare hands and parrying for the temporary invincibility and then shoot him with your gun, go back to bare hands and repeat. I used the gun technique until I figured out about the Towel/Parry combination. If I were you I'd get that towel again! It works wonders for that first section, you can Komaki Tiger Drop him many more times then normal since it builds so much heat on it's own.
Do you have the towel that prevents heat build up? I used that for the first stage of the fight. I am invincible for a few seconds after a successful parry too. My gun is the golden gun, and my sword is power 310 which is good enough. I've seen other videos where the person is doing a lot more damage in the second phase, but take it slow and steady and you will be fine!
Somehow, I think it's more wise to heat action as per say, it can help save you from a failed tiger drop, and also. I'm near the beginning of Ishin, and currently trying to get the good equipment, a little pointers?
Thanks for the video. Stupid question though, are there any specific upgrades I'd have to have before using those techniques? I am able to use the Tiger Drop but need to work on my timing, but that sword parry (?) looks unfamiliar to me. My Sakamoto is far from maxed though. One thing is certain, Amon is one tough SOB. Cheers.
Sorry for the late response. The most important things to have in this fight are as follows: The towel that prevents heat build up. This will allow you to Tiger Drop over and over without using Heat moves which do practically no damage to Amon. I honestly don't know the exact sword skill that makes that parry happen. I think it might be one of the sword training skills that you can unlock/learn after training. The Tiger Drop is key. It does ridiculous damage and after the parry, you are invincible for a period of time and can get some free attempts. I'd recommend getting into fights on the street and ONLY using Tiger Drop.
jimmyqballs Thanks, no worries about the lateness. I'll give it a shot, and see where I'm at with the sword training. It's been a while since I did most of it since I had to put Ishin down for a couple months.
I got it sorted, basically heat actioned him to death. Healing items came in very handy. I've gotten that sword from him and killed 100 people but not sure what materials I need to upgrade it. Thanks again for the help.
+jimmyqballs Hey man, just got to this fight. The Amon fight in the dungeon was nothing to me, but for some reason I appear to be severely under-prepared for this second one. Almost all attacks he throws out one-shot me. I'm no where near maxed out level-wise, but I've limit broke all the styles, and about halfway through each of their grids again. Is there any equipment and upgrades you recommend before I try to tackle Amon again?
Dominick Sam I guess because they figured an uber boss like Amon would be a fun reward/surprise for completionists who spend the time doing all the requirements to see him! I wish I had any idea what Amon is saying here, or in Zero and Yakuza 5. All I know is he really, really hates Kazuma Kiryu and commissioned the IF machine that Minamida uses to learn how to beat Kiryu, which is insane
The more higher level of your hand to hand, yes the upgrades will certainly help! I just think since you can't take damage in the parried state will allow you to get to the 2nd phase with ease. Did you notice how much damage you did with a Tiger Drop? 1/3rd of a bar? 1/4 of a bar? Look forward to your video! Always like watching people playing Yakuza!
Never played this game but as far as i can tell this is the hardest amon? And i thought kiwamis one was hard i have beaten amon on 0 kiwami kiwami 2 and 6
Yes, but you have to equip it, get 100 kills with it. Upgrade it when you get it, it's not much but helps a lot killing people. When you get 100 go to the guy on the river who does the special weapons. I'm not 100% what you need for it but you probably have the materials if you did a lot of grinding in the dungeon
I'd check around on the wiki pages for help on learning the Tiger Drop, I don't remember anything about this game anymore lol, sorry man I wish I could help!
Amon had a lot of health in this, iirc regular bosses take more heat damage. Ishin is a pretty ballsy game though, I definitely remember it being tough especially compared to the baby dragon engine games where you can carry an entire poppo store in your pants
@@mediawatcher9225 I honestly don't know lol, it's been such a long time. I'm guessing it's either because he can defend against them, or has a form of counter attack that makes it not viable. I wasn't the same player as I am now in the sense that I didn't do no damage videos back then, so it could have just been laziness lol
It's nice to know that even in a spin-off you can devastate opponents with the tiger drop.
For the most part, with the right skills yeah, but tiger drop in this is extremely hard to time unlike Yakuza 0, Kiwami, and 5
