- So Amon, the leader of the Amon Clan, a clan of the world's most powerful fighters, challenges Kiryu to a one-on-one duel after claiming that he had a dream where Kiryu had risen to become a living legend and a threat to the Amon Clan, foreshadowing the encounters Kiryu has with them in the future games.
Done at level 1.
I remember fighting him for the first time and after the cutscene I was like "alright, just another substory fight. Doesn't seem too hard." Then the cutscene ends and all I see is *a goddam cannon*
Basically my reaction as well. How was i supposed to know that this guy is a world class fighter and super hard.

That's neat Kiryu understood the message perfectly all the way to "Am on" but Majima misunderstood it so bad that by taking so many leaps in logic he eventually reached the right conclusion by complete accident.

The So Amon fight made me confused since I'm colorblind. I thought the Health bar just comes back when you damage him enough. But it was just different shades of Pink which I couldn't see

I searched up with So Amon's Hp thinking it was a glitch it didn't go down but I saw a whole bunch of people saying there was just a lot of different colored healthbars and in that discussion someone who was also colorblind said how confused they were and one person told that guy what was up

So and Jo Amon can steal your items and replace them with their tissues, and in the case of Staminan Sparks, Staminan Sporks, which look identical and have an identical description. Drinking those will severely damage Kiryu and Majima, and reduce their heat gauge by a lot.

Damn, you toyed with this guy. It took me 5 tries to beat him, on easy.
I kept on getting stunned and then getting trapped in the laser, which did so many hits so quickly that it just killed me instantly.

This is the first Time Kiryu Kazama took on the Amon clan. His first Amon fight was the original Amon leader, Amon So.

This is easily the most batshit crazy fight in the whole game
it was until i realised the helicopter was dropping invincibility power ups which was a big relief tbh lol

I remember the first time I ever saw So, I don’t know why I laughed so hard at the “Who are you? So. . . So what say something. My name is So.” part and the gasp when he’s appalled Kiryu don’t know of him or the clan. And finally the part where he goes on about the dream and points his finger.
A really easy way to beat this fight is to max out rush or dragon by farming shakedown until you have a few dozen billion, buy an inventory full of stamina royale and repeatedly use the spicy knife to do a heat move until he dies.

After learning about these guys, and seeing how much preparation there has to be with getting the necessary equipment to even stand a chance, I don't think I'll be facing these guys anytime soon. So thank you for doing this for me. Because this guy is definitely out of my league.
The first time the fight started I wanted to see when I fired the cannon to dodge it and suddenly a laser came out that killed me instantly. I didn't last even 3 seconds and I was quite surprised lol

I was looking between Majima and kiryu’s amon fights and I noticed how kiryu was able to read the pager while Majima struggled and used his big brain to figure it out

Hmm, probably either Kiwami's or 0's. So Amon took me about 20 tries in the Japanese version to record a decent looking fight.
That chopper noise syncs with the BGM well.
When he had the cannon i just used the golden gun and dodged the lasers. Quick and easy.
i remember fighting him for the first time, i had to grind and upgrade kiryu to the max because of how unfair it was, and i had to use different fighting styles to defeat him, it was so hard i kinda wanna stop playing but i beat him ahaha

Like the great American philosopher Family Guy once said: "It ain't easy being cheesy!". Also Komaki Tiger Drops are a pain in the neck to be pulled off this consistently.
For me, half the fight was me slapping him around with Goro Majima's card and running around him while bombs dropped outta the air from a helicopter.

So amon is quite easy at the start i used rush on him attack and dodge easy then when he has blue and red smokes start using beast too and at the end go for the lil things on the ground but use brawler there

I fought So Amon. You handled it with more grace, I handled it like a cheap bastard. I had 10 sakes and 10 stamina royales, I brought the spicy knife, a baseball bat, the cards, a bowling ball, brass knuckles, Iron hammer, all this to just do heat actions right off the bat, the alcohol just to boost the damage of the heat actions. It was all great in the second phase, so long as you don't get caught in all the crap falling from the chopper
