It’s pretty cool. I’m also super knowledgeable about spells and items but in my case it’s because I am unskilled. So I know how to cheese and exploit weaknesses
The Putrid Avatar in the snowfield has 12569 total hp. With the spark aromatic you did 6578 damage, plus the 1 from the oil pot impact would leave him with 5990hp. So considering the oil pot + giantflame pot was not able to finish the boss off, it would have had to do less than 5990 damage, making the aromatic better damage wise.
Sometimes bosses (and the character) will survive an otherwise deadly blow with 1HP. It’s random. It looks like that’s what happened here, so we can’t really know how much the pot would have done.
Fun Fact: You never need to talk to Diallos or even interact with him in general to get the Companion Jar Talisman. You just need to finish Alexander's Questline. The only difference in Jar Bairn's Questline if you never interact with Diallos is that he will never be part of Jar Barin's Questline and that you won't get Diallos's Mask, the Hoslow's Petal Whip and the Numen's Rune he'd drop upon death. I killed Juno Hoslow on my first playthrough which made it so I couldn't ever interact with Diallos and because I never interacted with him or ever even got him to appear in the Volcano Manor, it made it so he couldn't appear in Jar Bairn's Questline which was still able to be completed. That's how I know this. In conclusion, all that time you spent interacting with Diallos was a complete waste.
Diallos really isn't a problem tho, it's just talk go ro linurai, talk to him he goes away go to volcano manor talk do valcono manor quest (which no reason not to some of the loot is definitely well worth it.) Truly his quest isn't even a hassle.. Same to Alexander, practically the same set up, find him talk to him, really easy.
Fun fact, you don't have to do jar bairn quest at all to receive the helmet from Alexander. Its a reward for progressing his quest, which I completed multiple times before I was aware Jarburg existed. Beat Radahn, speak to Alexander (he appears at the dunes regardless of prior steps). Beat the Mt Gelmir Magma Wyrm, speak to Alexander. Literally the only steps necessary to receive the Jar head and have Alexander progress to Faram Azula. Yes I'm aware he wanted pot talisman from jar bairn, but he still did unnecessary steps in Alexander's quest.
I remember my first ever kill on Fortisax was right after someone had told me that Mimic Tear can't run out of consumables, so my first kill on him was me and my mimic just yeeting kukris at him non-stop until he died and it was genuinely the easiest kill I've ever had on him.

Definitely my favorite run you've done to date! I love how humbled we all are as a community every time you guys complete these type of runs. @@limerumpus3589 Seems like the dlc might have a focus around 'death' or deathblight in general, so holy damage might actually be good against, say, 'Godwyn, Lord of the Dead'
Honestly I don’t think many people would have assumed they suck. I think most people just don’t wanna bother with getting all the cookbooks and pick up materials to make a few consumables they might use. However for me, Elden Ring was my first from software game and I was under the impression that it was going to be difficult. So I tried all kinds of things. Turns out just using a sword works fine. Fire pots / grease vs trees, holy pots and grease vs undead. But yeah it’s actually really fun to incorporate those things. Bewitching branch and sleep pots are so good vs ganks too
Yes! Love watching your videos. I did notice right near the beginning you threw a holy pot at the death bird and you said 1600 damage. It looked more like 16000.
Props for showing the stats of the items you pick up. Also makes me more thoughtful about using consumables more often. Holy pot one shotting the death rite bird made my jaw drop
I like the idea of this run a lot because it gets closer than anything else to mimicking something from the first darksouls that I loved, that being spell charges. Like you have to mix up the consumables you are using because you just dont have many, and using multiple types means having more in general. You never stop using the Fan Daggers or Kukri because, frankly, you just cant afford to. Until you get the infinite form of them maybe you are using Darts from animal bones because they are easy to get. Of course you always use your bombs and when you discover Perfume or Ritual Pots you feel so cool and like you've gotten a huge boost in power because well, you now can last EVEN LONGER. Unlike magic in the game where Memory Stones feel like a nice to have and your FP recovers stupidly often, with Consumables you cant just recover them at bonfires. You have to parcel them out and be very sparring in how you use them lest you run out on a boss.
I love how fun you seem to have this run, and how good you are at this game. You are easily the better than the rest at timing your s and strafes holy its just pretty to watch
For anyone who didn’t know, the tree avatars are extremely weak to fire damage, so if you’re having trouble killing one then use anything with fire and it’ll make easy work of them
I dropped into the stream during the Dragonbarrow Night Cavalry fight and was like "oof, this run looks painful". Glad to see that most of it was a lot smoother sailing, lmao
A lot of people sleep on the pots but even more sleep on the perfumes The perfumes are downright overpowered Spark does insane damage for how cheap and easy it is to make And Ironjar is a staple of meme pvp
This run is awsome.... I did my Consumable run awhile back , and i enjoyed it alot its challenging however because i chose to do it at NG+..... Anyways here are some great tips : 1- Use Gideon's hammer weapon as ashe of war , it's better to have with the Jellyfish Shield buff along with FGmS , GV and other buffs. This combo makes good short work against all Bosses etc. 2- Crystal Darts work excellent against the Watchdog Bosses , enemies and the smaller imps as it also Stuns them.... Crystal Darts can also be buffed with GV , Terra Magicka , Magic Tear etc. ( Infact the best throwable Knife/Dart category damage is the INT Crystal Dart with High INT , while Kukri and Fan Daggers come next ). 3- Buy , equip and use all of the Stone types as they are very good approx deal 70% of the regular Pots damage. ( Cuckoo , Gravity , Explosive and Poison Stones are great ).... Poison Darts are also helpful alot against later Bosses as it can stack with Bleed and Rot build-up. 4- For the Ritual Pots , the best to craft are the Magic , Lightning and Giantsflame ritual pots mainly. 5- Also try crafting only split 10 regular Ice Pots for the increased debuff damage that stacks , can also reset the debuff immediately with Fire pots or Explosive Aromatic Perfume. 6- And lastly , the fire perfume aromatic has the fastest cast speed with damage-ratio... It can be a Burst finisher by itself. ( I dont recommend casting Frenzy Howl , but rather GV and FGmS mainly as fgms increases physical damage along with Fire this gives aheads up damage increase to Kukri , Fan-daggers , and all Physical/Element hybrid damage dealing consumables but not for Pots as pots only deal minor physical impact while mainly throwable darts get increased damage ).
Frenzy Howl is one of my fav buffs tbh. that 25% all damage increase is amazing, and sure you could argue that the 35% damage increase isn't worth it. But not getting hit is really easy as ANYTHING melts with such an insane damage buff
@@terrariaarmy508 It's good arguably in PvP sometimes , but otherwise FGmS has better uses since it increases both Physical and Fire damage including everything from Consumeables and Spells/Incantations while gives you the benefit of Stamina Recovery almost like wearing the Turles Talisman actually. ( All this without including Ashes of War buffs , Talismans and gear ). Howl of Shabriri used to be very OP , now that they nerfed both the damage it used to make with Madness Build-up... Not to mention the Howl debuff -30% damage taken can be stacked with Radagons Soreseal and Scorpion Charms making it 57%-60% increased damage taken which is One shot to be honest for your character.
@@omaralajmi1551 Like I mentioned the increased damage is not a problem as you rip anything in your path apart in a few hits anyway. But how hard got the damage nerfed then? As I don't remember ever reading that in the patchnotes
@@terrariaarmy508 No , i was saying in consecutive NG+-NG+7 playthroughs you wont be shredding nobody in few hits , not even regular enemies even at Rune Level 713 max actually... But the Howl has -30% damage decrease taken while if you stack that with other sources like Magic Scorpion Charm and the Radagon/Marika Soreseal you do take about -60% damage taken which is also One shot in NG+3 or higher against most Bosses actually... But as for the Patch if its on PvP the value is lowered abit but still -15% is alot by itself on PvP while on PVE roaming the Map the values get higher... I believe this was Patched from 1.07 and later on now currently. ( So in theory its viable on PvP to extent , but not worth it on PvE as the disadvantage is much greater and risky aswell ).
@@omaralajmi1551 But on those NG's you basically get one tapped anyway, might as well Hyper buff yourself to make that happen less. Of course if you want to gamble with that, feel free, and really you shouldn't need a Soreseal on Ng+ and up so that's on you. Plus I was never talking about PvP, as it sucks balls in ER cuz of the netcode (or the lack there off). Personally, I'd much rather go in blitzing rather than dancing a strict tango, if you catch my drift.

31:35 you only need to defeat Rykard to progress Diallos quest: he will make a remark at being a failure-having joined the manor for revenge only to fail with nothing to show for his efforts-after the Manor has been disbanded or whatever happens after rykard’s defeat. You do need to progress his quest to the point of him being at the manor prior to defeating Rykard though. Elden ring quest lines are much more forgiving and less tedious than prior fromsoft quest lines where missing a single interaction could screw you out of the quest completion or item(s). I’ve tested this pretty thoroughly and you can skip quite a bit of the interactions in ER without missing out on any collectibles
PSA. You do not need to save Alexander in Limgrave to get the jar you can just kill Radahn and talk to him there and then he will move the the area where you can get the jar.
It's crazy how fast you *could* progress the main story when you're aiming for it, and know what you're doing / where to go. Like by the 5 hour mark, this man already passed me at my 100-150+ hours in (not sure exactly cus I fell asleep accidentally with it open a few times) I basically stopped progressing the main questline once I unlocked the Snowy Mountains. Essentially decided I wanted to do a (near) complete run, go back and completely clear the previous zones and underground before progressing. Cus like, at the time I unlocked the mountains, I (unintentionally) skipped most of Caelid, Liurnia, and the entirety of the underground regions
Yeah it's insane how short Elden Ring can be. To put it into perspective, there's 165 bosses in the game, and you only *need* to fight 8 of them, plus 3 to 6 optional ones for Leyndell access.
@@tTaseric yeah, that's so absolutely wild to me. Hell, I know a few streamers & friends that finished the game while never visiting SEVERAL zones (consecrated snowfields, haligtree, sewers, deeproot depths, lake of rot, etc)
just wanna say for the theodorix fight people in the chat were telling him to reset when the octopus got involved but I would argue that the octopi technically are consumable, they eat their own "arms" to regen health so they are indeed able to be consumed
I love how he had a lore accurate fight with Maliketh 😂😂 (For those who don’t know/didn’t realize, Maliketh has the power of destined death so technically whoever he touches will die. The lore accurate Tarnish defeats him without ever being touched once, just like Gino did)
I appretiate the fact that you gave timestamps for if there is any part I want to see so much that I am now going to watch the entire video to do what little I can to help you in the algorithm
In terms of the rot dragon, basically any enemy “consumed” by rot (with the exception of Radahn) is generally weak to fire. The Redmane soldiers use the smoldering walls to try and stifle the rots advance. Malenia gets absolutely melted by Blasphemous blade with a fire/skill setup
YO Finally! I remember seeing some amazing bits from YT shorts, I'm really psyched for this run Edit: have you considered making another shorter video with guidelines on how to best optimize this build?
It's kinda weird this run is out of order. I only started to notice when the "All Deathbirds" section came up, that the boss counter was skipping. I dunno if that's because this is an older video but I like the runs to be the footage in order, not skipping ahead & back.
The best thing about consumables is no one expects you to start throwing rocks at their face. I'm *very* eager to see if I can "borrow" some strategies and tricks to use myself
Ironically I had been planning a path and strat for a consumable run, and randomly saw this on my feed. Seems like a good way to get an idea of what I'm in for. The math I've come up with for a few things should be put to the test here too.

I’ve tested this pretty thoroughly and you can skip quite a bit of the interactions in ER without missing out on any collectibles
Not only was this run great, but it had the Geoguesser subplot to keep things interesting
PSA. You do not need to save Alexander in Limgrave to get the jar you can just kill Radahn and talk to him there and then he will move the the area where you can get the jar.
It's crazy how fast you *could* progress the main story when you're aiming for it, and know what you're doing / where to go.
Like by the 5 hour mark, this man already passed me at my 100-150+ hours in (not sure exactly cus I fell asleep accidentally with it open a few times)
I basically stopped progressing the main questline once I unlocked the Snowy Mountains.
I love your reactions, they’re always so chill no matter what’s going on.
just wanna say for the theodorix fight people in the chat were telling him to reset when the octopus got involved but I would argue that the octopi technically are consumable, they eat their own "arms" to regen health so they are indeed able to be consumed
Finally! Was waiting for this! All the shorts made me hyped af for it! Thanks Gino!
That was The fastest 2 and a half hour i have watched.
Entertaining all The way! GG
YES!! THANK YOU! been killing me waiting to see this run fully.
Fun fact: You can use the gravity chunks to do more damage against both astels, and fallingstar beasts, because they are weak to gravity magic
I love how he had a lore accurate fight with Maliketh 😂😂 (For those who don’t know/didn’t realize, Maliketh has the power of destined death so technically whoever he touches will die. The lore accurate Tarnish defeats him without ever being touched once, just like Gino did)
There are like 40 no hit runs where he does it and you chose to write under this video
@@alessandropigliacampo3726 your mother could have birthed any useful kid and yet she chose to have someone as useless as you
havent played this game in so long but love watching the runs
I appretiate the fact that you gave timestamps for if there is any part I want to see so much that I am now going to watch the entire video to do what little I can to help you in the algorithm
In terms of the rot dragon, basically any enemy “consumed” by rot (with the exception of Radahn) is generally weak to fire.
The Redmane soldiers use the smoldering walls to try and stifle the rots advance.
Malenia gets absolutely melted by Blasphemous blade with a fire/skill setup
YO Finally! I remember seeing some amazing bits from YT shorts, I'm really psyched for this run
Edit: have you considered making another shorter video with guidelines on how to best optimize this build?
At the spirit godskin Spiritcaller Snail fight, you can sleep them, find the invisible snail, and kill it. I've seen skumnut do it
2 hours into the video i had to sub :D love your attitude and energy, keep up the good stuff
These videos are insanely entertaining. Kudos to you for making the game fun in ways few thought possible.
What a W video bro, haven’t seen all of it yet but I already know it’ll be quality 😀
Busted out laughing when he just starts wailing on Ranni. "I'm a wild one" lmao
as much as i love these videos i hate there being no music, but i love watching these with lofi in the background
Jesus those volcano pots are crazy! Never used em, now i kinda want to.
It's kinda weird this run is out of order. I only started to notice when the "All Deathbirds" section came up, that the boss counter was skipping. I dunno if that's because this is an older video but I like the runs to be the footage in order, not skipping ahead & back.
Bruh over 95% un-subscribed rate is nuts, people be sleeping on this god
I love runs with 2 hours buffing and 20 minutes fighting
26:13 Some real "we will, we will, rock you" energy right there.
A true master at work! Watched the whole thing start to finish, W vid
OK GUYS YOU NEES TO WATCH 26:13 IN 2X SPEED AND HEAR WHAT I HEARD I LOVE THAT SO MUCH THE TIMING IS SO PERFECT
We Will Rock You. Nice :D
Let's go Gino! Been binging a couple of videos and the views to subscriber ratio is crazy. Happy to subscribe!
This videos are getting better and better ! Love watching them 🤩
Thank you so much for making a long video this is so entertaining!
I have never used one pot in this game. This was freaking awesome! Soooo much damage, with pots!? Hahaha!
36:35 "volcano pots has to be good here unless he resistant to fire" proceeds to instantly kill him
Falling off the cliff during the dragon fight had me rolling, GGs dude.
I like these 1+ hr vids bro this just made my day fr
Just got the platinum trophy on this game I have mad respect for this guy for still enjoying the game
Sick run. I'm about halfway through the video, surprised you weren't able to find a use for roped pots yet
Your most entertaining run so far ! Keep up the good work man
Seeing all the kukri sticking out of astel’s head is actually very funny
I waited so long for this and it’s finally here

I’ve been waiting for this to come out for a while
Been hyped for this run for so long!
Listening to the Skyrim soundtrack while playing elden ring. Love it !
This video was the reason I subbed to your channel . Great content 👍
Watching videos like this makes me think back to last year’s Elden Ring hot takes videos and 😂 it’s as hard as you make it or as easy as you want 😅
Damn, 1:00 and you were right, I wasnt subscribed, yet watched something like 20 of your runs already? Wasnt feeling like no stranger anymore
Bro the editing alone got you a follow
I just want you to know that I love the transition after 22:37
