Lots of respect for seeing that Mondays are about mental health. I've never seen anyone add that to their curriculum let alone make it a weekly topic. It's such an important topic, especially in the art world. I think what you are doing for folks who are seeking to learn the kind of knowledge you have is novel and is a much needed gap filler on the web for those who aspire to what you've achieved. If I were a member of the universal set that this community is appropriate for instead of a small subset of which this information applies, I would be figuring out how to make sure I had the cash to be a member. Regardless, I have respect for what you are doing because that is no greater vocation than helping others achieve their goals.

Say bruh as a Black Man Thank You for that Mental Health Talk Mondays. Now as a Untied States Navy Veteran who served 12 HONORABLE YEARS, from my sole thank you sir. I myself am a Disabled Veteran due to mental health. Most wanna call it PTSD but I caught that old Shell Shocked that the ppl from Vietnam came back with. Its the same Mental Disorder that takes the person you once was and transform you into a person your family no longer knows. It was times I felt less then a normal citizen because I had regrets going to war. Im from the inner city and didn’t understand why we kill each other, then going around the world to hear about a threat and never see one but in the same breath we were still killing. Most ppl can sleep at night but others like myself cant. Just wanna say hats off to you mane keep it up!! You may be the reason someone do not commit suicide ! You just don’t know how many lives you touched without even knowin!!!

For y'all who did not get Curtis, he has reached a point it goes beyond making money. Because the way of business forces you to do what your customers want. It can prevent you from growing more as an artist or producer since you do one thing for a really long time. I can relate to this a lot. Alongside being a producer I am a graphic designer and I started doing portrait art works recently. I realized whenever I binge post my works on the gram and Facebook I get a staggering boost in business requests. I guess that's how the beats market works... We feel you bro Curtis God bless you 🔥🔥
its amazing to me how many people dont get this. I love business conferences and when you get to the advanced lectures this is what theyre talking about. I remember one lady who was emphasizing "declutter" so she moved from a mansion to a 2 bed room condo and she changed her business hours to 6 hours a day 4 days a week and her productivity jumped 250%. Once you recognize your value, you start thinking about your time very different.

I totally understand. We live in a time of inbound marketing where customers crave a direct relationship and rapport with the people they make purchases from. There's a reason some well-known producers also don't sell beats online. They're locking in the studio and directly supporting artists and collaborating with artists that along the way that respect their sound & creative choices as opposed to casting a wide net. Are they successful? Yes. But they also leave lots of money & opportunities on the table. Opportunity cost is real.
I'm confident that you're building a great legacy. What you're doing is really what makes places like Atlanta so great. It's exactly how shit works out here and how so many artists and songs continue to see success long after we've written them off. To be creating an environment like this online is really special and I'm happy and humbled by how you are going about it.

I stopped selling type beats last year. Best decision I made. It was really starting to dull my creativity and passion.
I deleted 95% of my joints of UA-cam. Just didn’t like how it made me feel about my own stuff. Re-branding, but don’t want the stress of marketing. Just gonna rock and let life happen. I got three careers so, I feel ya on money ain’t the issue. Find your center and hold it tight.

My brother is an aquarius, also makes beats and raps, he was really gaining traction in the OC, getting PAID doing shows every weekend, got tired of doing it and moved into fixing cars, then electronics, then motorcycles. Respect ✊🏽 I know I’ve left some messages criticizing producers cuz as a drummer I feel I’ve picked the losing and harder side music but the more genuine and spiritual rewarding side. Music has become more about promoting and marketing first before truly learning music in depth. Anybody and everybody are making cool sounding beats, drum kits, loop packs, but they aren’t as valuable as a musician or drummers loops that he plays all in one layer cuz that’s where the true skill of drums lies. A three year old can place notes one instrument at a time but it takes dedication to master an instrument. A dedication that has no real value in electronic and Hiphop music less and less. Genres where all the money and popularity is in. And were expected to sell our loops for same price cuz producers have made it there mission to trick the listeners about where and who the notes are coming from all for the credit, shine, money, to go to one person (them) instead of multiple people (us). There’s no reason they can’t put musicians credits on loop packs. U want me to sell no royalty drum loops so some fool with a Daw can take all the credit as if they made themselves let alone played them themselves. Ur no royalty loops just mean all royalty’s to u. Credit, fame, money. And when a fan says how did u come up with that drum pattern walk me through it they can BS when they truly have no idea how or what was used cuz he truly didn’t make them. He bought them. I can see y producers do this cuz u can start making money so fast but I also won’t do this cuz it’s not worth Time I’ve actually put into drumming...... and I don’t care about all the backlash I get from producers cuz I’m just trying to protect the value of my own craft which is already shit. Who is gonna learn any instrument now when they can have machine that plays all of them for them and gets all the credit and money without having to work or find other people to get on the song. U have replaced bands with a dancing DJ and Rappers

Most inspiring video I’ve ever watched on UA-cam. I’ve been making beats, writing, singing, rapping, mixing and DJing for 15 years. I just turned 30. I’ve had placements with artists from Jae Millz to Alicia Keys to Lil Keke to Ralo and all walks of music in between. I’ve been a UA-cam member for 10+ years. I’ve tried every avenue there is to sell beats online and to (more importantly for me over 15 years) land placements with major artists. Whether that be songs or just beats. The market is flooded, yes. The game has changed, yes. The process gets discouraging and stagnant, yes. But like you said, those are the times when it’s crucial that you make a change for and within yourself. If you DONT you won’t lose your skill. It’ll always be there. You’re just at risk of wasting more time on earth by not standing up and making a change for yourself. Nobody will do it for you. Even the closest to you in life who are there for you when or if you fail....not even they can make that move. It has to be you. And in order to help your loved ones, you have to be in position to make that move actively. Otherwise your whole foundation is wobbly. When you find your purpose though, not only do you appreciate your God given talent and all these years of trial and error. But you also enjoy utilizing those things more. It’s one thing to look up and realize all of your current and closest relationships were founded on music. It’s even better when you realize you’re able to help those people by doing what you do best AND they genuinely appreciate it.
Much like UA-cam’s changes helped spark something within you....I just want you to know that you have sparked something within me. And while my change may not be over night (and it’s not just you, but a group of people I care about who have helped me see the need to evolve) I feel the most important life epiphany’s changes made are the ones that take the longest to see the need for and the most drastic ones to make. This video was definitely one of the final pushes needed for me. I genuinely mean that. And something tells me you’ll respond to this because you seem like that type of dude. But even if you don’t and the only reads I get are from other viewers, I want all of you to know, you’ve chosen one of the most difficult markets to break into by selling beats in 2019. IF you want to do so to simply always just do that. But if you’re anything like me or him, you’ll soon see after pounding the pavement, true success has never and WILL NEVER be gauged by a dollar amount.

Curtis King a business suggestion. would be to get an app designer and make you a Curtis King tv app available on Apple and Android. Where you can easily stream in with each other and watch all your videos and stuff.
I think one big thing about UA-cam is its ease of access with the app on phones.
