@@reinbeers5322 Same. Any time I see that I'm in a mixed battle I actually rejoice a little, because to me it's an easier fight. German armour is meant to counter allied guns, not German guns.

Fighting fire with fire is fun but I honestly get more enjoyment from trying to solid snake my way past enemies hoping they don’t realize that one specific panther driving by doesn’t have a nametag.

@@joyu2105 last time i was in an appropriately BR'd sim battle we did actually have a dauphine, he opened the battle by spamming "I AM IN A DAUPHINE. DO NOT SHOOT THE PANTHER WITH A STAR ON THE SIDE AND BACK OF THE TURRET" and got tk'd anyway. He was in the next match too (there are only like 100 sim players at a time) and actually got kills

Meanwhile I'm grinding for the free decals slots so I can model my Dauphine after a particular French Panther.
Tiger on your team: Drives straight toward the battle, weak spot forward, charges into the cap and gets in your way as you are trying to take out an enemy that was setting an ambush for them. Dies. Then you die.
Tiger on the enemy team: shows up late to the battle, owns your team and proceeds to sit on the cap perfectly angled with ESP levels of situational awareness.
Yep, perfect description of the German teams.

I have to say, even though i dont play WT anymore, im 100% certain its the crews stats that make the difference between everyone in the turret getting killed upon penetration vs everyone going yellow/orange. Boost your crews health, kids. It really helps.

You would think that they'd learn their own tank's weak spots and ammo racks inside and out after dozens of games but apparently not.
Unlesss they have been to arcade. Panther vs Panther is no fun and always one that ends up smashing his keyboard because gaijin hit moment

@@humzaakhtar9208 Round one is easy to pen (espesialy with 17pdr apds). But sometimes... "Shell shattered".
A far better way to bully them is the swing fire which is unmatched in power and you would have great fun playing…..

Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has.

Dude yes, and the armor is deceptively thick too, so if you wiggle you can bounce a lot of shots. Not to mention it's a midget.
It also has really great gun depression for some reason. I like to play it out when I have a spg task sometimes
I miss the day when 75/46 still at 4.3...it rekt T-34s and KVs so easily... It was the first tank I bought tailsman for Italy tanks、also the 75/34 are still good against downtiers, but idk why 90% of my game at 75/34 are all 4.3 games, the 75/34 are is not a good at full uptier...
The panther: 190 mm pen, 100m turret and 80mm front hull angled at 55 degrees
Every other medium tank at this BR: 100-150mm of pen, ~50-100 mm of unangled armor.
Not to mention the Germans get 4 of them.
Reverse speed : 3-4km/h
Turret traverse rate on the tier 3 panthers: horrendous
Rats like the m18, m36,pt76 running rings around your team of slow tigers and panthers

@@nickisoof so it sounds like you're just bad lmao. M18 is not a rat tank, all you gotta do is hit it once, anywhere. Wouldnt have to "rat" if us tanks at 4.7-5.3 could actually pen any kind of panther.
@@seandashep1531 yea that's a weakness of rat tanks, anything that's fast I call it a rat tank. An besides why would a m18 engage any tiger or panther from the front in the first place knowing it has the speed to out maneuver the heavies and hit the sides.

@@seandashep1531 yea any Sherman besides the jumbo just seems to suffer in 6.0 what I noticed as a German main. That light tank thought of being a rat is because we lack light tanks from 3.3 to 6.7 and 3.3 puma is a big rat itself

Me diving with a Falchion with no armor and a single shell somehow living and running over a sniper who was not expecting a tank.
damage of ap shells is determined by how much left over penetration you have after successful penetration. For some reason this also applies to the filler in APHE, its not calculated separately. So you can do basically no damage with the fusing of the shell after barely penetrating the tanks armour that is assuming the shell fuses at all because sometimes it just doesn't fuse.
That's not how it works in game, but it should be. Unless the entire round enters the tank, the burster charge isn't going to matter, and that would only occur in situations of severe overmatch (like an 88 through a Sherman maybe).
APHE shouldn't be noticeably better than AP on anything except bunkers (as was largely the case in the real world - see why the US stopped producing APHE postwar)
@@jameshodgson3656 test it for yourself, the damage done by the fusing of the shell is lower the less left over penetration you have after a successful penetration.

APHE does provide practical amount of post armor effect. The challenge is making one with big enough explosive charge but without needing a cap.
That is the primary reason US is done with aphe.
Fighting against german tanks in mixed battles as a german main is peak fun for me, already knowing all the weaknesses of my own tanks makes it way easier to get kills
i remember i got a free test drive for this thing a while back and yea, had some of the easiest games against germans ive had lmao.
the amount of times they just try shooting the front plate or shittily shoot the mantlet was astounding
Bought the Dauphine today. Got eight kills with it in my second battle, the enemy was only Germany and Italy. Great buy; every time I ran into a Panther they’d have a moment of hesitation and we’d stare at each other like the Spider-Man meme. Thank you Spookston for the rec 🙏 the most kills I’ve ever gotten with a single tank at that BR, and the only time I’ve ever survived a battle with one tank and won the match as well.
seeing basically the opposite of french vehicles in the tree is kinda funny, it has a great gun, aphe, not stabalized, but very stable, and armor. either way great video and i'm excited for the m-51 video!
You gotta try the KV-122. It's just an IS-2 that's a bit slower but at 5.7 instead of 6.3-6.7
Its MUCH slower, and has very thin armor in the hull. So IS-2 has 6.0 and its a heavy or even fat medium with 122mm. While KV-122 is pretty much a turreted TD at 5.3. Doesnt mean its bad but its not much stronger than IS-2.
Funny how the Jumbo 76 is 6.3, when any Panther variant can frontally pen it in any location, yet it gets only 4mm more armor penetration than the Pz.IV at 3.7.
Have you played the disguised panther made to look like an M10 yet? That'd be a fun video to watch. I don't think many people know about it. I didn't until a few months ago when I fought that monstrosity and didn't know how to kill it because I couldn't tell what it was, and it absolutely wrecked me.

Playing Germany at 5.3-6.0 feels like cheating but your simultaneously somehow losing. Your armor is insane your gun is even better your relatively fast with decent gun depression and to top it all off your opponents are mostly in Sherman’s and t-34s (decent numbers of IS tanks mixed in plus some open top US TDs) I felt like I was a completely unstoppable monster only to look up and realize everyone is dead we have no caps except the one I am holding and we have 15 tanks in our spawn

Spookston may I suggest you playing the BT-7A (F-32)? It's an event vehicle you dont rarely see often. It's a fun BT 7 tank with the 76mm cannon from the KV1 E and the best part of the tank. It has -6 degree of gun depression.

one time while playing rb 5.7, i saw a panther without nametag, so an enemy. my brain shut down for a few seconds, then i remembered the T-V (and dauphine but enemy was a T-V) exists
You should play the Phong Khong T-34. It's wicked silly and my favorite anti-air. It's also a good TD :)
Got my first nuke in the Daupine. Full uptier to 7.0 (had the CA Lorraine in my lineup). God bless German mains.

This might be dumb, but how about trying the French SaU 40? Hoping I got the name correct. It’s a good SPG for the tier and I personally have had a lot of enjoyment with it. I feel like it could be fun for just a bit
Man I never learned to like that thing. For me the Lorraine 37L has to be one of the best TDs for France. I even take it up to 7.7 sometimes.
@@superburrito9797 The 37L is definitely a blast, one of the few things that made tier 1 bearable. I’ve never tried it any higher than 4.7 though. Wouldn’t be surprised if it did ok, but I imagine you have to play a heck of a lot more carefully.
You know how else you can bully German tanks? Playing the great and totally not horrible m103 American heavy tank :)

I love how at around 5.3, whenever I'm playing with germany they act like they're lobotomized, but when i'm against them, they turn into the second coming od Michael Whittman. Like I'm grinding sweden rn and it really doesn't help.

There is one thing I like you to try out. It's the ISU-152. It has a high penetrating HEAT round which in fact, can pen the UFP of a Tiger II. This tank destroyer can melt any tank at it's BR. It also has a handy 50 cal which can kill any light targets like M18's

The only real drawback until very recently (when the m36 got added) was the rest of your line up is 5.3 unless you have all those event vehicles.

Best part of if you didn't shoot me you would not die is when it applies very well in ship specially the Moffett or other premium dd shooting your heavy cruiser thinking some magic wonder would happen
For the engine issue, I'd recommend lowering or turning off you engine sounds and turning up the enemies, helps me as I don't get confused between if its an enemy or me.

Hi, You should try the ZTZ96, I mean I was just comparing and, 9.3, APFSDS that can pen a 10.3 M1 Abrams, and still the Abrams cannot pen him, 1 whole BR lower, crazy composite and nice gun:)
The Panther is probably the best German tank in this BR, and maybe even the best of all tanks in its tier.
I'm starting to play French and I'm planning to buy this tank, exactly for the reason that is the subject of your video.
I will give an example:
On the "Sinai Sands" map, I'm sitting in my Sherman FL10 with a charging atomizer. I only have full AP at my disposal without the explosive insert.
I shoot the Panther at a distance of 1800 meters and set a personal record - 21 shots fired (!!!), including 3 misses, i.e. 18 hits to eliminate the Pantera.
That's why I must have this tank.

Yep, and it certainly doesn't help that since humans tend to remember bad experience better than the good ones, we will always remember the German teammates who runs around like headless chickens making us lose the game, and the German enemies who shits all over you Wittman style

You should play the British tier 2 Sarc MKVI 6Pdr. It is very fast ( I call it the Super Awesome Race Car ). It has the British 6 pounder and is very good for 3.3. It goes by no armor best armor and if you get shot in the turret you die no matter what ( 3 crew, 2 in turret). It’s got a .50 cal on top for AA and shredding milk trucks. It’s funny because it recoils a ton, and no matter what will land on its wheels probably to counter the recoil. I also think that the crusader II is fun. It’s I think 2.0ish and is super fast, good fun and I believe ( in a British tank) APHE. it is great for capping points, running along the sides and flanking the enemy.

Based on recent experiences I don't think the problem is Spookston's Panther having low damage, I swear they just made German crewmen really tough. Just earlier I put a 20 pounder APCBC round through the front of a panther and his machine gunner caught it and stopped all further damage!
The British Striker calls spookston, missile and destroy until it is done! :D
