I had the older custom sport in white for 6 years / 76000 miles. Never once let me down, used more or less everyday. Took into ford for its second service and they replaced the auxiliary battery for free as they said it was losing its charge too quickly! I upgraded the locks to deadlocks. I now have the new sport in orange and absolutely love it 👍🏻 best van ever.
What was the best brand for deadlocks? I know that the newest Customs/Tourneos have a metal ring. But I think that the one you got are much better or not? ;)
Theo Brouwers I’m based in the midlands and had a company called ed lock to fit them. I think I paid around £650, that was for the rear and sliding doors, the drivers door lock and a drivers door loom guard as cutting that was apparaently another way of getting in to it.
Far different engine options than the versions we get in Canada/US. I regularly drive them at work fitted for passengers and with the 310hp v6 Ecoboost!
Not much use when thieves bang a screwdriver in the lock, then turn it with some grips or something like. This is what happened to mine before the (all too late) software update. Before then scumbags could turn the lock twice in quick succession, the first would open all the locks, the second would turn off the alarm. The ‘clean’ steal left me with no powertools, and I’m sure it only took them a minute.The update now only allows the key to open the front door, so if your remote fails, then you can’t get into the back of your own van.
Happy-Days even if you don’t press the unlock button twice in the door panel? Sadly vans are made to look nice and drive nice but security isn’t greet on most vans. Getting hykee door barrel will help a lot then deadlocks on the other doors. Videos on Sussex installations UA-cam channel shows their work on all vans.

Does anyone else have problems with the infotainment system? Freezing, not acknowledging Android Auto, Not remembering the audio source you were last using, On/Off mechanical switch not working (until restart), Waze/Google maps just turning off to blank screen etc. Most of these situations are very random and usually can be fixed by stopping the van and restarting which of course is inappropriate and inconvenient!!! Ford always blame the software and update it but this has never fixed it? One last thing, the auto high beam has a mind of it's own and never works as it should. Vesicle is a 2020 model.
I have just cancelled mine, not sure how the engine will turn out after our 3 year old connect just gave up the ghost with a full service history and only 95K (over heated) on the clock we have lost a fortune has a small business not good
There should be a temperature gauge/waring I think. Than you can stop before it overheats and its going to be costly. Was it the PSA 1.6? The 2.2(ford engine) used to be quite reliable. I don't know how the new 2.0 engine is, but sometimes you have luck with cars, and sometimes you don't.
Ok it’s a good van but have any of you been on a long journey in one of these as passengers, ?? It’s the most uncomfortable ride I’ve been in as in the seats are set forward so you can’t lay your head back you seem to be head forward and after 20 miles , it’s stiff neck, we decided to travel in a 59 plate Citroen Picasso for comfort instead of our work mate custom transit .. the only comfortable seat is the drivers cause you can roll it back so the head rest doesn’t push your head forward.. I would have a free one of these unless I was single and the only driver
We used to do 1200km in one drive with our custom when on vacation. Not really a problem. I think it is just what you are used to. Some people almost lay down in their seats. I am used to the Custom, Suzuki Jimny and the Celerio, so I am used to sit straight up. If I am for example in a Audi A6 everything starts to hurt after one hour. I am just not used to it.
@@jamieb4734 But....there is also the Tourneo. The passenger/cab version with two sliding doors. Not a traditional workers van but some people could use it as such.
Ugly van horrible Review a 2018 bmw m3 cs or compilation or a 2017 Mercedes e class coupe or a 2019 Mercedes c63 amg plz not this van nothing but this van
Most overrated van ever, the engines are very old school diesel sounding from everything from the base up to the seriously overpriced sport versions, and they keep braking down. Makes the Renault Trafic sport feel like a limo

I have a 13 plate sport and travelled 200 miles in it and its great even better than my 67 plate focas st line
I think you have the option of having reclining seats and armrests in the second row
