I just received a custom 4 piece travel rod. 19.5" sections. Nothing commercial seems to fit this size. Plus, this will be a behind the seat rod. I found this video. Thank you! This is exactly what I'll need.

I'm thinking about drilling some holes in mine to let any water inside evaporate out. Is this a bad idea ?
Anything that lets water out will let water in. I just make sure my rods are dry before I put them in the tube.
How much did it cost total to make your fishing pole rod with your PVC pipe and everything else you had to purchase to do this project?
have you traveled on a plane with this? Heading to the bahamas.
Yes, I flew with my light action spinning rod to Idaho for my rafting trip.
Has anyone tried to make this recently? PVC seems to be not worth it cost wise anymore..
I got one for a pack rod. it's a 4 piece 6ft 6 rod and they sell 2ft pvc pipes for around $10
