merhaba...i just came back from my holiday in Istanbul...i love simmit...it was so yummy...we ate with hot coffee during winter...now i am back in Malaysia...really miss simmit....huhuhuhuh
Last year I was in Istanbul for 7 months for my Erasmus. Yesterday I was feeling nostalgic and baked these. It brought me back to those beautiful days walking along the Bosphorus. Thank you, great recipe! Looking forward to try other recipes… oh how I’d love to come back :)
Thank you very much for the recipe , i've already tried it twice and it wasn't so bad but yours seems better because I think that with the egg it will give a dough like brioche and will give a better taste and also the way you braid the dough and close it which is easier😊. THANK YOU❤
Thank you for your time and effort. In the description you wrote one egg, right? Can I kneat with the machine? Thank you in advance for your time and reply. My best wishes.
Thank you So much for sharing your version of Simit recipe. It was the best I ever tried. Not too hard, not too soft, just the right texture Simit should be and the Smell.. ohh, so appetizing! 🤦🏻♀️🌻🍃 May Allah bless you and your home and family. 🤲🏻✨🌒
I made sambali for my family during Christmas and they all loved it! My uncle took half of the cake home to share it with her daughters 🥳 My mom also fell in love with it and they all agreed we share strong roots with the Ottomans (in Naples there are traditional desserts having the same ingredients, like semolina in the sfogliatella or in the migliaccio and the sugar+lemon water for the babbà). I hope you're having a great start of the year! ❤️❤️
Asalaam alaykum. We just got back from Istanbul. A beautiful city. We had fresh simit at a local restaurant. Very delicious 😋. Thank you for the video.
LOVE Simit! Notice the flavor varies a little depending on what they use to stick the seeds to the dough - all very good! I need to work on making here but it is just me so will make for Ramadan to take to shared meals of Iftar etc. Thank you for sharing how to make this!!😊
Thats great, would be nice to share during ramadan. You can also freeze them and reheat as much as you want to eat. Best way is to thaw overnight for breakfast and heat in a nonstick pan with lid both side until crunchy again, yumm
I have tried it so many different ways from several recipes but they don’t come out that crunchy and soft within. I bought one bag of 5 from a Turkish shop in England and put in air fryer for 5 min , they were the same as we ate in Istanbul . Cost me £5 that was almost 5 times expensive but ❤ Beautiful
Every time I watch my favorite Turkish tv series, kara para aşk …I always want some of these! Extra crıspy with cream cheese…just the way Omar liked his! Yum! God bless! 🌿🌻🌿❤️❤️❤️ …you look beautiful, as always!
My favourite bagel recipe, i luv travelling Turkey for this reason you can get simit at every auto bus station/stop the kids come to you with them also bakers sell them , i make extra because they freeze well x
I made it today.. they turned amazing.. thank you so much ❤❤❤❤ really great recipe.. girls go make it, your family will be happy and your home gonna smell great 👍👍
Ayshenur, you are making me drool here! I am working from home and needed a little break. There you were with the simit. Now I am thinking about when I can go to Turkiye next! Thanks for including us on your journey!
