Lightfoot uses his wooden leg to pick up a used Trans Am on the sly, while Thunderbolt takes a sudden leave of absence from his preaching work at the suggestion of an old friend...they both meet up later in the the wheat fields of Montana after "hitting up" the old friend... Later they switch up the T/A for a boat-tail Riviera from Arnold and his very uptight wife at a gas station. - Розваги
That's a 73 TA. The hood bird and the longer bumper snout ID it. I took delivery of a new one in December 72. The standard 455 mill was rated at 250 net. The exhaust sound you hear in the movie is the real deal...exactly how a stock 73 TA sounded.
The right cam you can up the hp to 450hp or 500hp
''You never can tell''...Bridges was AWESOME in this movie!!!
One of my favourite films , I've loved this film since I was about 12 year old 👍
that 73 trans am was clints own car they painted the shaker to show up on camera better and so it looked used
Wow didn't know that
Umm....anyone? ...........it's Gregory Walcott as the car salesman....a legend of TV Westerns. Clint always had some respect for those that came before.
Was in Clint's next movie The Eiger Sanction also.
Now that’s when shows were shows definitely.
thats 70 Trans Am 455 cid
had one just like that way back then,
ah the good old day when gas was 35 cents a gallon!!LOL
I read that was Clints own car.
This movie was filmed in and around Great Falls, Montana.
@sexyScorp It's a 1973, not 1970.
70-72 T/A had a fat stripe down center of hood & deck lid. '73 was first year with the hood bird.
Red Shaker is just a civilian modification.
My dad was there in Hobson when they shot the first few scenes. My uncle was an extra in the church scene.
Erin Pulse so you claim
The church scene was shot in Hobson, Montana.
Just watched on PBS, GREAT movie indeed! Sad and surprising ending, even though I saw it years ago, it still totally absorbed me. Great Actors, story, scenery, themes, ALL of it! This movie was short using a lot of extra footage that was not needed, then the Producer went on to make "Heaven's Gate", which put United Artists out of business for the same reason.... too much taping, too much time spent in filming it. No huge box office sales but this one will always stand out and on its own.
great movie
"Cleaner than a cat's ass"
early LGBQT masquareding as caper heist movie
I wish someone would ask Jeff Bridges about this.
This movie's main line could
be : "You never can tell" … :)
I saw this movie when it was new and I can't remember anything at all about what was going on here.
I do have to wonder - if you were in church and a man walked in and started shooting, would you immediately run towards him, in the center aisle? Or AWAY from him, at the other end of the pew? Because people run towards him here.
GREAT MOVIE!
Gotta love the yahoos that say ""I had one just like it"" and don't even know what they're talking about.
Cleaner than a cat's ass. This film.
Watch the bastard in Bad Company. Personal top 10 film ever.
Never can tell 😛😂
"Excuse me, I don't wish to be forward, but we'd like to exchange cars with you, so the faster you get out the better it'll be for your ass..."
😂😂😂👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 love it
Hobson Montana Reppin haha
That looked like somewhere in Northern Montana?
great movie
Cheap pot - boilers like this shouldn't be released, instead they should be recycled and used to catch droppings on the floors of chicken coups!
I cringe when thunderbolt pops his shoulder 😢😢😢😢
