Thanks for the video. This week, I will be flying the Jetstar Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Bali from Sydney. I bought the ticket in 2019, but my 2020 flight was cancelled by the pandemic.
Love your quirky comments like passing out as soon as you got home! I would most probably have passed out on the way home lol! I flew in the exact same seat as yours from HNL to MEL just before COVID struck. Flight was originally a daytime flight but got delayed to an overnight one. 11hrs on that seat was grim, but only just survivable thanks to the bulkhead window seat in the forward mini cabin. I watched your video to get a glimpse of what flying out of Bali is like as I am making my first trip flying from there to MEL on the Dreamliner. I have a seat in Business booked for the daytime flight. Thanks for the helpful insight into DPS
I personally feel that without these comments - my trip reports would be a little bit bland. I’m glad the video helped you out! Personally I would prefer a longer overnight flight as it would’ve given me enough Time to get some decent rest rather then the 3 hours I got on this flight
Bali’s Airport has really come along way over the years it seems. Haven’t been there for a while but certainly looks like a more pleasant experience these days!
Ah the Bogan Bus! I have flown on the Bintang Express a few times but I flew in their so called 'Business Class' more like a Premium Economy but still much better than up the back of the bus. Very good review! I love Bali! I do like the White livery on the Jetstar B787s. That first row of Economy is the best row to be seated in Economy!
Mention Jetstar and Bail and the term "Bogan Bus" automatically comes to mind. I've only flown on JAL and Thai Dreamliners, and on overnight flights back to Australia they tend to override and keep the windows tinted right up until about 9 a.m. local time. Shame really as you miss some nice sunrises.
Thanks ! Jimbaran is one of the best beaches in Bali . Very peaceful with wonderful BBQ fish on the beach . Jetstar would be a pretty good airline , if only they didn't constantly cancel ,delay and reschedule flights !
@@YoungAussieFlyer And guess what .I booked a direct flight from Melbourne to Uluru for May . They have cancelled the flight .Now I'll have to fly to Sydney at 7.30am , then catch a 9.30 am flight from Sydney to Uluru . I wonder how many more changes and cancellations I have to look forward to .
@@YoungAussieFlyer May 17 is the departure date , I can't remember receiving any notification about the changes unless it was missed in the junk mail. .Still 6 months to go , I will not be surprised if there are more changes ..... i
Well on this particular flight the staff in Bali were nice and let us be a kilo over. However, in my other experiences, Jetstar have been very strict on weight
Security is always very strict flying back to Australia, it’s not the airport, it’s Australian government patrols… used to hate it coming from Bangkok and having to be treated like a dog. Unfortunately 20ml over is 20 ml over and it has to go 🤷 Great review though :)
Tbh, as much as I like Australian security, you’re right, they treat the passengers like dogs rather then humans. Ngl I wish they would chill out when it comes to this sort of thing
great review!
Thank you!
Awesome 👌

You’re welcome! I hope the flight goes well for you! It’s a shame about the cancellation but things happened
okay, the window with that darkening gel is just god-damn COOL! O.O
All 787s have this feature and you’re absolutely right - it is pretty cool!

I want to try Jetstar’s Business class but they keep downgrading me to an A320 and I get bummed out and now wanting to film it lol

I hate that crews of the Dreamliners lock the windows during the nights… it’s why I’m not a fan of flying them overnight
Funny that Jetstar paint their Dreamliners in white, not silver ey?
Awesome vid again
I’ve always found that interesting - they did the same thing with a few of their A330s
@@YoungAussieFlyer yeah it really is funny, although tbh I cant decide what I like more🤣
very good !
Good old Bali! Lived their for 2 years, if you do come back to Bali, make
sure to check out Canggu😁
Maybe one day I’ll fly back - but not any time soon
Awesome video! also wanted to ask, how do you afford these flights? is it for work? or do you pay for it using your day job?
Well I didn’t pay for this flight. However generally I use either points or pay from work
@@YoungAussieFlyer that's great! thank you, here's too more awesome trip reports!

Bali's airport has a Donut King?!?
That it does
it's not a Jetstar flight without a delay haha
