I think I just found my new favourite travel vlogger. Appreciate the documenting skills, genuine, and I've been binging your channel, hope this channel lasts long and stays genuine. All the bits you wanna see as a normal next door traveller, we get to see them and well documented, random funny bits too.
I appreciate all these videos. You're so comfortable to watch. It's not cringy and it's not overproduced. You're just an average dude flying around, and I'm here for it. Happy travels!
The gent was correct in saying go visit the Marhaba lounge in Melbourne. It's on the same level as the Qantas First lounge (i.e. above departures level) meaning you get natural sunlight, good views of the tarmac and the food selection isn't bad either. Also, if you happen to have a credit card that has the priority pass lounge membership perk, it's free to get in. The best seat on any airplane is the bulkhead seat since you have no one reclining on you and you have heaps of legroom. Also you are the first to off the plane, first to the liquor cabinet and food and first to the loo! And in business class you never need to worry about overhead bin space.
You are absolutely right that seat is a premium economy not a firstclass seat but at the end of the video you're happy and would do it again that's all matters. Enjoy your stay in Vietnam and flight safe
Good food service for Jetstar. I'd be in economy though with prepaid luggage and meals. The only "business" class I'd consider is Air AsiaX's Premium Lay-flat option.
Looks like a solid option. Great service and entirely workable seats. I’d kinda always discounted Jetstar business, but I’ll definitely consider them after seeing this. Getting business seats for my family of 4 in Qantas or Singapore is a headache, but looks like plenty of availability on that flight.
As a fellow traveler I enjoy your videos immensely The part about the Vietnam visa Site and the process was spot on…very sketchy I look forward to more of your videos and hope you can cover my 2 favorite airlines KLM and Finnair
I have been to Vietnam before and used one of those "other" websites. I had no issue. I received my letter and obtained my actual visa at the airport for US$20.
I flew JQ in Business class Melbourne to Phuket back in October this year. It wasn't my first Business flight with them and despite there being a pandemic between flights, not much has really changed, even the menu looked similar. My dog loves the blankets that JQ let you take home! Cant fault their Business class soft product, but the hard product is starting to look a bit tired. Fortunately they recently announced a "mid life" refurbishment plan for their Dreamliners, which includes the addition of more Business class seats (at the cost of some Economy seats). The new Business Class seats will still be recliners, most likely similar to the Premium Economy seats available on Qantas flights. They will also be removing the IFE screens, opting for streaming to personal devices and they will be adding internet access. Currently the flight deck crew use two seats in the Business cabin as a rest area, but in the refurb they will be getting a dedicated rest area, allowing JQ to fly longer flights. There was no mention of a face masks on my flight, so I can only assume that this was a Vietnam requirement.
I agree the Vietnamese viss is so dodgy looking. I got approved really fast though but they left my middle name off so Scoot tried to deny my boarding. In the end I got through fine. Love you work. Perfect voice for narration. Vlog your holidays as well man.
Hi I'm relatively new to your channel, was wondering whether JQ had business class, guess that answers my question, however it isn't the nice Business class seat with lie flat beds like ones on EK or QF or any other full fare airline, In saying that JQ's looks like an economy seat. Though it does seem to be comfortable, but I bet not EK business class seat comfortable, I got the once in a lifetime chance to fly EK Business and it was on their B777-300ER, was awesome, I ❤ EK, anyway the service seemed good also by your video and JQ's business class product execution seemed also to be on par with a good economy class full fare, TBH I feel it might be better to pay for a full fare economy class trip then a JQ business class, To me it feels that there should be a little bit more JQ can offer to elevate their business product to make it feel more worth while to pay a business class ticket with them.
You have just become my favourite travel vlogger. You talk with normally and don’t sound pretentious! Also… what gives with the masks? Top notch addition with the “That’s what she said” add in!
Just my opinion , Jetstar “business “ is just premium economy at business prices, personally I’ll avoid if I can. It’s not bad, it’s just not business.
At lest you got fly on Jet Star Buisness class with a quote on quote 'Empty row 3". I havr to fly on and Qanats airbus A330-200 in a jam packed Economy Class seat for 11 hours to Bengluru😭😭😭 and than i have a connecting flight on a Indian low cost caririer thankfully thats only for 1 hour
Great vid (you got a new sub) When was the flight? Wondering if masks are back, or whether Vietnam never stopped. Although it seemed to stop post take-off Agree Jetstar 'Business' has a good soft product (food and drinks) for the price and compared to other LCCs, and is decent uograde versus Economy. StarClass (its original name) was more apt. Its a PE product.
This was back in the start of September, slowly throughout the flight everyone (including the crew) started to take off the masks. I have no idea what was going on with the rules there.
We flew on Vietnam airlines to Europe from Sydney in June/July. No face masks were required for those flights. Maybe Vietnam reintroduced? If I have to wear a face mask on a plane, I won’t travel.
@peterlanders3900 Nope. They didn't reintroduce masks. I think Vietnam Airlines have only allowed their staff to remove their muzzles back around September. Thai Airways followed suit for their staff on October 1, but passengers generally haven't been required to wear masks on THAI flights (except for countries that still mandated them at the time) since July 2022. Vietnam Airlines didn't specifically mention when masks were no longer required for passengers but it appears as of early 2023 they didn't care anymore. However, on flights to/from Australia in August 2022 they already didn't care.
@FlightFormula Huh? That makes no sense. Even Vietnamese carriers and others such as Singapore Airlines, THAI etc. Have stopped requiring masks to be worn both by passengers (up to a year ago) and crew (several months back) on flights to/from Vietnam.
Surprised you had to wear a face mask, been to Tassie (with Jetstar) this year and didn’t have to wear one. Also went to Greece (not Jetstar) and didn’t have to wear one 🤷♀️
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what you get that is anything much better than economy class? You say the seats aren't even much better..... The food looks predictably crap. Rather bring my own on board and sit in economy class for 1/3 as much overnight asleep.
Jetstar screws students in New Zealand. At the end of every Semester they triple or quadruple the flights to Auckland for returning Students and ever other poor b***** who flys that date. I had a ticket Dunedin to Auckland during those dates, I bought 14kg hand luggage but my bag split, the replacement bag was slightly over dimensions required for hand luggage so I asked to check it. ‘No they said, it’s not transferable’ every budged airline the world (even Ryan Air) wants to limit the amount of Cabin Luggage. They made me pay NZ$180 excess luggage to Auckland! I could fly to the US with an extra 20kg suitcase from Auckland for NZ$200! Gouging thieves !
I would never fly Jetstar economy but I was interested what their business was like as I nearly flew it to Seoul. Luckily I went with ANa instead. The face mask thing is quite alarming. Must have had a mentally ill cabin crew manager or something.

Nice to see more Aussie flight reviewers!

Love your wine tracker bro! Been using it for almost 6 months now and its been a game changer
Lovely travel Vlogger. Enjoyed watching your video bro.
there is a remote control sir, for crew call and lights 👍
It may not be real business, but it beats every day of the week the ones jammed in to economy.
Surprised Jetstar even has a business class honestly - a good view from which to watch the annual brawl break out in economy though
You hit the jackpot with the row. Wow
Hey, I love your videos, is it possible to make a review on any europian airline, have to say your my fav travel vlogger.
Unfortunate to hear it was a bad redemption but appreciate the clarity, live and learn!
Yep exactly!
The Melbourne Qantas lounge is such a dungeon lmao but as you say free food is free food
Bro rating mineral water the best 😂

It’s basically premium economy and way cheaper than Qantas or Emirates, in terms of value for money it’s not too bad imo.
You have just become my favourite travel vlogger. You talk with normally and don’t sound pretentious! Also… what gives with the masks? Top notch addition with the “That’s what she said” add in!
Hey mate are the meals all complimentary?
Yes 100%
amazing video man
Thanks!

could have got a visa on arrival..
You need a visa in Vietnam? Mmmm
Is that really business? Barely any leg space
it's not Business Class it's premium economy🤦♂
Its marketed as business, why argue it?
@@Traveltheme706 🤣
And if its at that price point its just fine
No one listens to me, I've always been saying that mineral water is where it's at
Jetstar business class good? Are you crazy.
Surprised you had to wear a face mask, been to Tassie (with Jetstar) this year and didn’t have to wear one. Also went to Greece (not Jetstar) and didn’t have to wear one 🤷♀️

10 months ago and still have to wear face masks? 🙄. Don't have to on any other airline.
not interested in different flavour teas, just give me english breakfast tea
Cute man
lol
A lot of talking. Substantial critique? Touch and go. Too much salad dressing? Really?
You’d be a great person to hang out with!

Facemasks? Yup they worked...lol. I have never worn one and never will.
Yeah what’s with the face masks?
Super strange, I did a domestic flight in Vietnam straight after this and there as no masks lol
Australia is now in 8th wave.
👍👍yep to mask,,, Australia is in 8th wave.
Thailand is wearing masks ,,best to be cautious.
@josephhapp9 so Australia reintroduced masks on planes? What???? Must be the only country in the world to do this.
The masks are pathetic in 2023. Great video though! subbed
