I keep a heavily planted betta sorority, I love the girls but they are insane at times. Just some free tips to help things go smooth! A. get some floaters in there, they will actually lay on my frogbit and it did help with the aggression issues I was having. B. DO NOT over feed the girls. I have battled swim bladder issues for my first two months. My issue was overfeeding, I had two girls at the bottom of the tank that wouldn't get much food because they weren't allowed in the top area of the tank. (Hierarchy) C. My girls have eaten just about every cleaning crew we have tried.. The only one who has managed to survive is a Chinese algae eater. They were fine for 4 months then wiped out the snails, shrimp, and Ottos. Seven months in and we finally getting peace in the tank again. Good luck and I look forward to the next video!!
some of those floating plants with the long roots would look amazing in there and probably also provide more cover and break up line of site even further

Acers do very badly long-term in heated room indoors. They like being cold at night, especially during winter. The normal practice for bonsai keepers, who often keep acers indoors, is to move them outdoors or put them in a cold place for the winter. If you want red leaves year round maybe go for a calathea, dracaena, croton or caladium.
Bought one of these oase heaters purely on this recommendation, it seems to be working amazingly well. Top tip, buy the filter & heater separately. The retro fit is simple & you can save quite a lot of cash.

Awesome tank as always, great scape! I really like it but for what I know bettas need a lid over the aquarium so that they can breathe warm and moist air when they want to.
