Been running one of these for 18 months. Great piece of kit, easy to setup and gives real peace of mind. So good I’ve bought the 308 for use on my marine tank and will use a fan cooler as well. The D-D controller is another good choice, I almost went that way until Inkbird was mentioned. The D-D lost out as it was more expensive and had no smart features.
Great video Graeme! I’ve had my inkbird running since Christmas and I’ve been very happy with it, 6months in! I’m just running the one heater so can’t speak for control of two heaters but two probes controller and single heater use- I’m very happy. Only negative would be a unusually complicated WiFi setup process!
Agreed - "follow these 17 steps and it might connect to Wifi - if not, press this one button and it will work instantly" WHY MAKE ME TRY THE FIRST BIT!
Good job! I have one that has heating and cooling plugs. Very handy here in California where it gets super hot in the summer. I have it turn on fans if the temp gets too high. They are also great for monitoring the temperature of your tank remotely
Just got one I love it few teething troubles but understanding it more now,and your vid helped a lot thanks ,I still get an alarm after 6 hours because I need another heater in my tank should have 300 watts but only got a 150 in there ,another 150 on the way as I speak. That should sort out the continuous alarm setting thanks again for information 😊
Great video graham one of your biggest fans but broke heater sticking on tend to suffocate the fish rather than boil them as oxygen count is lower the warmer the water
Nice little review, Graeme. I like the looks of app functionality, my nicrew doesn’t have that. Would like a tutorial on that one if possible. Also I received my stickers this week, thank you 😊 Ps I assume there was no livestream last night because of the football. Pps I’ve hit 1k subs this week!!!!
@@AquariumAdventures Shame the match didn't live up to expectations. Your livestream would have been better ;) And thank you! Hopefully I can kick on from here
So would you set your actual heaters above the max value so that the controller is cycling power rather than the thermostats on the heaters shutting on and off repeatably?
Setting the thing up was 2 hours of swearing while downloading the seemingly endless stream of inkbird apps.i gave up in the end & was ready to send the bloody thing back to China. Then it suddenly connected.how/what I did I will never know But it works a treat!🤣
I find with my Inkbirds that you have to set quite a narrow temperature range or the damned 'heating for too long' alarm goes off. Otherwise a great bit of kit. Much easier to control via the app than the unit BUT you can't cancel an alarm from the app.
Oh well. Back to Amazon. Worked great for 4 days but now it's totally misbehaving. Trust me. I spent hours/ days on making sure I was set up properly. I'm pissed. Not drunk, but mad. Great concept but crappy end product.

Good to know its be working a while for you 👍
Finally, an explanation I could understand. Thank you!

I imagine that would be very useful over there!
Omg thank you for this video it answered all my question unlike the other videos of this product

I wouldn't go without an Inkbird on any Tank - they are essential imo and must have !
Excellent review, just the job for non techies like me, seriously considering purchasing one 👍
Good choice!
Thanks mate just ordered one now.

Thank you for the review 😉
My pleasure!
Hello, it’s been 2 years since your review of inkbird controller and is it still working for you? Thanks love your contents
I feel like I need one of these things
So would you set your actual heaters above the max value so that the controller is cycling power rather than the thermostats on the heaters shutting on and off repeatably?
I set my heaters slightly higher than the controller, yes.
Thanks for this. I've just got one and the "Chinglish" instruction manual is terrible. I'm fairly confident now that I'm not going to boil my fish.
Another nice vid! Thanks
Thanks for watching!

I know that feeling!
What are you white lights in your video. I have a white red sea tank and love those.
Still working well??

Did not know that - will be fun when it goes off and I'm not home but the family are! 😂
@@AquariumAdventures Four times, at 3am... Until I worked out how to program it so it didn't happen!
Weird my working light isn’t on. Having issues
Thanks for the video I mite have to get one. Also would you put the probes in the sump where the heater is or the tank???
I placed both probes at opposite sides of display tank.sump usually reads a little hotter as heaters are in there
ok so 2 heater plugs there provided is actually not for 2 heater on 2 separate tanks?
Correct - two heaters in one tank, not two tanks
It doesn't pair with 5G wifi it so can't setup the controller. Returned mine.
why cant we use it for 2 tanks?
Only one probe
💯👍👍

Yep. Nup.
First 😂
Your prize is a hearty congratulations!
