Approach to Dubrovnik with RealTurb effects and real weather conditions as observed on the 12th March 2019. Windshear encountered on short final resulting into a Go around.

That was a really nice save, 5 seconds and that would’ve been it because you sank so fast. And that crosswind was INSANE. Never seen anything like it. 👏

@@devansh8846 Probably "Alpha Floor" protection mode. You can even have thrust levers at idle, but engines will quickly spool up to toga (full available) power.

Crosswind Limit is only a limit for the actual landing. It has nothing to do with the approach.
@@thejoyofflying182 my point rather was he continued the approach to 1.0 mile out, which I would’ve gone around way earlier if the conditions weren’t changing. to be technical, im sure the ATIS or TWR would report the shitty winds so there’s that
Usually crosswind components found in AFMs are "demonstrated" components which means they are not a limitation for crosswind landing. You can always witness aircrafts landing with winds way beyond their demonstrated crosswind components.

I think if you can't see the runway out the front window, you're probably outside the crosswind limits :D
idk why but i find the sound of the engines running at full power so satisfying. Don't think i heard it anywhere else. You handled the situation very well btw

I m flying in MSFS 2020 now, and when I landed in Jersey today, I hitted a windshear that was almost similar to your windshear. The only problem was that I couldnt hear a windshear alert, even if I had PWS turned on. Any reason why the system was not saying anything? I flew with the Fenix A320.
That plane did not want to climb at all lol

The funny thing is that GPWS still pretends the aircraft is landing even after set TOGA.
It’s calls out the high no matter what
CrossWind limit in land config is 38 knots, don't change any config during windshear and, rip 3th mode of EGPWS (predective windshear)

Windshear is always unpredictable :) For the moment is only available for P3Dv4.5 and P3Dv5, there are no plans for other simulators/versions at the moment.

@@rickymunoz9389 It works also in flight however since the effects are terrain related, you can't expect any effects when high enough from terrain ie. Cruise levels

Not sure that wind speed/direction makes sense on approach. The downdraft does though. Would make more sense being calm then wind shear from the wind crashing down over the mountain.

the high angle of attack protection kicked in and the plane commanded pitch down to avoid stalling. It was a manoeuvre perfectly executed.
@@Hk-uw8my the discussion was on windshear. Not airspeed. You’re outside of your lane on this one. Pitching down in windshear will get you killed. Whatever you “think” you know here is wrong and it shows. The PFD gives escape guidance and he completely disregarded it. His reaction and response was 100% wrong but it’s a video game. Ignition in switched ON on CFM engines to protect them from water ingestion or severe turbulence and or crosswinds.

The warning is triggered by the aircraft systems, but yes you need activesky for the realturb windshear effects (automatic calculation or manual windshear creation that is possible from version 1.9 of realturb)
