hi guys, i meant to say you are allowed to NOT agree with me in the beginning. i speak really fast, i’m working on it and i apologize. i’m also sensitive and if you comment anything mean about it i will be in tears lmao
I absolutely adore Palm Pals. Me and my sister found them by accident in a crafting store but we now each have some that we bought online. I think they'll definitely be on the rise, especially since they collabed with BT21 (which I was super excited to see)
If you consider Squishables low budget, I shudder to think of what you consider expensive! I love the spring plague doctor but I cannot justify paying 19 dollars for something so small o.o but they do have great designs. I consider them high end XDDD (Edit: Well, for something mass produced at least)
@@shillinhite3911 They are pricey for their size but compared to squishmallows of the same size, they are more inexpensive. I wish they were cheaper but understand the price.
As an avid stuffed animal lover, I’ve never liked them that much! I told my girlfriend they’re cute but soulless lmaooo. I just don’t connect to them the way I have other plushes (idk if that sounds weird). And collecting and the thrill of the hunt just stresses me out so maybe that’s part of it. I still want the pink otter and the mini otter tho. Anyway, great video! Very informative and entertaining!
@@mirandapanda5439I’m neurodivergent and I think they’re okay. I know a lot of neurotypical people that like them a lot more than me. I just use mine as neck pillows
you can’t forget to mention that as well as quality decreasing, the new squishmallows got ugly. also, squishmallow didn’t cater to people other than chidren, theres too many sparkly and rainbow ones and ones with initials on them.
Welcome to the world of collecting. This has been happening since the dawn of consumerism. Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Barbies, pick a hobby and there will be resellers. Not that it's okay, it's just not a new concept. Inject a bunch of new collectors into the scene and you've got higher demand, lower supply. It usually all levels out in the end. It just didn't take nearly as long for Squishmallows. lol
I love stuffed animals, and even though I have never been a fan of squishmallows, I do have a few. They’re comfy, but they’re not very… interactive? Like, their shape is really limiting to what they can make. I like Jellycats because of their wide variety of plush
Back in like 2021-2022,I was actually obsessed with squishmallows, I always watch videos of people hunting for squishmallows and I've always wanted one, but they were never available in my country till in 2023, and I finally got one which is a red squid named Altman, and that was my 1st squishmallows and I love him alot, tho i never took him out again, luckily I only owned only one squish, but im still very sad they support isreal(and also sanrio omg..) Edit:I don't think I'll throw Altman, cuz he's my 1st squish and snice he's all red he reminds me of Palsetine so I'll still keep him
There's just way too many Squishmallows coming out right now. A lot of the designs they are releasing recently just do not need to exist imo. It feels like they're releasing designs just to have something to release that they know will pander more to children who might be into more whacky/colorful squish that look like they came out of a Justice store. Which there's nothing technically wrong with that, but like you said with the Sanrio plushies it's possible to market to a wider audience without leaning into that 2010's Justice style. I think they did have that "for all ages" look for many of their earlier releases. They very much can still have a variety in styles, I think it's smart to have variety, but they just don't seem as curated and thought out with the designs as they used to. I also agree the quality has gone downhill on a lot of their releases. I collect mostly spooky/halloween squish and I ordered their recent halloween release of Emily the bat with the spider web on the belly, but the fabric compared to my other squish is not as soft. I also despise the cheap printed fabric they use on some of their other designs as well. I can give it a pass sometimes (like on the Jack Skellington squish for his pin striped suit) but they use that fabric (more often than not) when it's completely unnecessary and they could of easily just used their regular fabric and some embroidery details. Like with Sally (another NMBC example lol) I never got her because she's fully made of the cheap printed fabric. They only really needed to use that fabric for her dress, since it is a more intricate pattern.
i dont think ill be getting anymore and need to downsize my collection but ill definitely be keeping special ones like sea themed ones (my fav) and unique ones like Cathulhu
I originally only had a Keychain one, it came in handy to squeeze when I was donating plasma. It wasn't until two years ago that I got my first real squishmallow and now I have six. I very much enjoy the ones I have, but have no plans to buy anymore unless it's something that's really special
I end up buying them secondhand. Squishables are allowed to be purchased at retail, but I'm not going to be supporting Isreal. Plus, they're expensive AF sometimes, which isn't something I vibe with. They're very useful to use as a pillow lifter, which I personally need
I will always love squishmallows forever, I loved them since before they took off in popularity, but this is still a very well made video!! I also definitely have noticed the quality go down, they're not as squishy! feel like all of the new squishmallows are so complicated and I don't know...the original were popular because of their simplicity.
I have a 16" Piaxa and when she has rested for a while she is super loose at the top, like she is lacking in the stuffing. she is way too stretchy as well. they went hard on that spandex
Thank you for making this!! I think it’s something a lot of collector’s have been noticing but not really talking about. Really happy to share my experience :)
the only time i like them was the nmbc collaboration, but other than that they are so overpriced and i feel like i can’t love them as much. the lack of mouth to soulless black eyes ratio is too unsettling.
Sorry hun I don’t agree with you… Squishmallows are my obsession. I know it’s more complicated to think of new names or animals for that matter:.. nothing else for me compares… just my opinion… 🤷♀️

Two plush brands I like are Palm Pals and Squishables. Both are in a lower budget range but are very high quality with a large variety of options.

The "You are NOT allowed to agree with me" misspeak really gave me a laugh, I needed that haha

Neurodivergent people like them.. they are a great stimming toy for people that like soft and squishy.

I also use them as pillows and arm rests.

Wow its not all about us adults... selfsh.

This video turned out incredible! So glad I could help and see the insight other collectors have!
I love being a girl boss 💅🏼

THAT IS HILARIOUS BECAUSE MY HUSBANDS NAME IS JEREMY. AND HE HAS COMPARED THEM TO DRUGS LMAO
The “It’s better than drugs Jeremy” is actually a line from the Squip song from the musical Be More Chill!

Puff pals is also a good alternative and they are currently alpha testing a companion farming sim game!
