Interesting that UA-cam knows exactly what I'm practicing and delivers a video to match. Always listening 😂

The transition is the key which moves the lead shoulder towards the target and recenters the swing, combined with the tension free grip/forearms. But for an amateur I think another key is the tilt attained in your shoulders, left shoulder down and right shoulder up, but really it’s seperating the thoracic region of the back, moving into a left sidebend, so it doesn’t move in conjunction with the lower part of the spine when you transition. Look how fast your shoulders get into a vertical orientation (looking from head on) - this is not turning the shoulders so much as tilting them. If you just turn them then transition will just throw your shoulders outward, instead of going into right sidebend. Also important not to move your weight onto the front of you feet - heel to heel is a good thought for amateurs like me.

Been needing this. Leaking power so bad, I was starting to cast to add speed and getting no distance. appreciate the insight and drills

So refreshing to hear an instructor talk about letting lag just happen naturally rather than trying to get lag!!!! Have been saying this for years!! All of the instructors providing drills for lag are doing a disservice.

I love them too! I have some arthritis in my hands and it really helps. Nice light grip pressure is easier. JC is a great teacher, I’ve taken lessons from him and plan to do so again

Do ya feel like your lead arm is dominant in the swing?

Both Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda swing wide-to-wide. Neither of them has issues with power.

I used them for the 1st 5 months that I started playing because I was hitting the ground too much and my fingers would hurt like hell the next day. They worked by reducing the shock. I have now switched to standard grips for 2 reasons. 1 I noticed that the thick jumbomax wasn't allowing me to release the club as much and 2. I didn't want to get used to hitting the thick grips , incase I travel and have to rent clubs, they are likely to have just the standard grips . My 2 cents

This rocks. The only way for me to achieve this is to mainly use the left arm. Right arm has to be lightly used. Correct?
