How to Replace a Dryer Belt. In this video I will show you the many tips and tricks to make changing your dryer belt an easy and successful task. If the drum of your dryer is not spinning you likely have a broken dryer belt.
The tricky part to this project is getting the new belt around the idler pully and motor pully. I will show you how to do that from inside the dryer so you know exactly what to do.
You will also learn how to disassemble your dryer to access and check the drive belt, drum rollers, idler pully, idler spring and motor pully... and how to install a new drive belt and reassemble the dryer.
In no time you will have your dryer up and running again.

I have the exact whirlpool dryer you have. The belt that broke measured 100 inches. I bought a new belt it was 100" I put it all back together and the belt is too long. so long that there is absolutely no tension on the Idler pully spring. I think I need a 99 inch dryer belt. Maybe even a 98 inch belt. Do you remember the manufacturer who made the 98 inch belts you got? Thanks
