Did this today worked perfectly. I cut off the old connector and used a small tube cutter to get the ends perfectly square then just chamfered the ends so that the olives and outer ends went over the pipe . I didn't leave any of the metal ends left on pipe but it worked perfectly and a nice firm fit .it bled up straight away and is working perfectly. Thanks for sharing this video and it saves a fortune on the cost of replacing the master and slave cylinder just to get the two halves of the pipe.
Fantastic video. I’ve got one to do and I’ve just bought a master for £180 and already had a slave which probably cost around £40 but now I’ve seen your video i went down to B&Q and bought the fittings for £2.16. One question, you mentioned the metal inserts. Should you cut a little away from the end so you don’t damage them so you can then take them out and reinsert them or are you cutting as close as you can to the existing joint?
its a bit of a beggar to bleed, you really need to remove the battery and tray but I sometimes find if you fill the system with fluid reach down to the slave cylinder under the battery and push the clutch arm in as far as possible a few times it will expel enough air back up to the master cylinder to get it working again. good luck

I just cut close to the ends & left some of the insert in place so long as the olive fits over the pipe you will be fine
