Bring back the double/single action triggers!!!... love them 🙂
Springfield tried with the xde but didn’t do well.
A while back (years) I had "loaned" my son in law my compact Sig 250, a double action trigger. He had found an XDE that he wanted to buy back then.
It was just after I bought my first Glock. I'll be honest I had forgotten how much I enjoyed that light double action of the 250. Bought it from my son for $250 with the light, paddle holster, 2 mags, and case. It replaced a keltec PT11.. the worst trigger known to man. 😆
So much better than my mnp lol one of the best triggers I've ever shot
Great video. I bought a 3913 in 1989 and carried on duty for ten years until my agency disallowed it. I have about 12k rounds through it and still find it great to shoot, accurate, and well-balanced. I recently carried it on a cross-country drive. There are newer, better guns (Glock 43, Sig p365, S&W Shield), but I don't think I'll be unloading it anytime soon.
Hello I have a question. Did you carry your 3913 as uniform ofc or did you carry the gun as a Detective thanks
Better? I think not. I have a G43X, a P239 and a 3914. Guess which one gets carried more?
My city department carried the single stack as investigators and uniform carried 5956 the double stack 9mm till we went to 40cal in the late 1999 . I love my sig p229 40 cal it is my carry when I am not at work on my job I carry g22
When our Sheriff's Department switched over to semi-autos we were able to buy "approved" guns through the SO.
This was the early '90s.
For our duty guns my wife got the Beretta 92f and I got the Sig P226.
They offered several off-duty guns at "Police Price".
We both ordered S&W 3913s.
We have used them and carried them ever since up to and including today.
Over all those years, they have never let us down.
Three total mags with one in the chamber give us 25 rounds each to resolve problems.
Still have the boxes and carry them often.
Great great guns and I highly recommend them.
That’s awesome. They are highly overlooked these days
So glad we have kept ours over all those years!!!!!!!
I've been looking for a thorough review of this gun and you got it spot on! I appreciate the attention to the trigger feel and size comparison. Definitely be looking to pick one up now.
You won't be disappointed!! Lol mine is the 3914 which is just the blues version love it
I dig it. Boringly reliable guns never stop being useful.
Great video thanks, there's a couple of 3913's at my LGS that I'd been eyeballin', might have to go for it on one of them!
It’s on my list of guns I want. Well the black 40s&w version (4014) anyway.
It’s a good looking pistol for sure!
If made new today they’d be $1300 lol
For many years I tried to find a Theodore ASP pistol here in Canada. I gave up and bought a 3914 LS which SW put out as an ASP knock off.
I remember that heavy thing way back in the early 90's.
Ah, the Ladysmith. This will be an interesting video to look forward to.
There's a dude on the Smith and Wesson forum that converted it to .357 sig by reaming out the existing barrel's chamber, he said ammo capacity dropped to 7. That would make a nice CCW since these aren't much bigger than J-frames
I love these pistols vs the plastic fantastic tactical Tupperware
They feel really good.
Love my CS9 (chopped, budget version), 3rd gen smith's are my favorite. Thinking about starting to collect them, I kinda want like 12 models. The 10mm with the decock only is a dream gun, couple of the 45s, a 9mm in every size. The last runs they did with pic rails, all cool as shit.
Oh man that 1076 is a grail gun
That was pretty good. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks!
Thank you!!
This reminds me a bit of a Kahr K9. There are some significant differences (DAO, striker fired, all steel, still in production), but they fill the same role. It would be neat to see a comparison if you could get ahold of a K9.
I’ve threatened getting a K9 for a while. Even considered the Mk9
I carried one of these back in the 80's. It pointed like a brick and all of the de-cocker things just sucked. When Glocks became available, I was sold and never looked back.
That’s how most police forces went too lol
@@thegundungeoncoming from a Glock lover I like the charm of this gun
I need to find a good double stack variant
There’s a couple on gunbroker
Is it a 8 + 1
Yes
