I've always been fond of the 3913/3914 pistols. They just fit me well. I have to wonder how the new S&W CSX compares. I think it is similar size, but higher capacity mag. CSX also has a metal frame and is hammer fired. It is SA, vs SA/DA. Have not seen one in local gun shops yet, but would sure like to handle & shoot one.
I haven't handled a CSX, but from the specs it seems to be a fair bit smaller and lighter than the 3913. If they make a DA/SA version, it might become a worthy successor to the 3913.
Cool 3913 9 tactical pistol. i'm buying a 5906tsw 9mm with the 9 tactical on the left side of the slide. just the same as your 3913. my pistol in layaway for a couple of months. my pistol comes with 2 15 round mags, blue pistol case. two Cool Pistols..
Ah the da/sa semi-auto. The absolute best way to ensure that, when firing under stress, at least one of your first two shots does not go where you want it to go. Unless you practice a lot, and I mean a lot, a Dao or Stryker fired pistol will allow for much more consistent shots especially under stressful situations like gunfights.
I've been shooting and carrying pistols, both personally and professionaly for over 51 years. Many different makes and models. I believe you are mistaken. Based on my experiences, NOTHING out classes a 3913.
Of all the 3rd gen Smiths, this one rightly gets a lot of love. There are many reasons why you could argue it's the best of its type. Thanks for watching!
@@marginallyinteresting Good I just bought a CS9 with only one magazine, I looked on line and some of the ones listed say CS9 and 3913 so maybe, their alot of money & I don't know what to do.
@@Dragonfire1911 the mag for early (non-rail) 3913TSW is same length/capacity as CS9. The 3913/3914 and railed 3913TSW mags hold one additional round and are longer; they'll lock in and work in the CS9, but they'll extend below the grip.
Typical entitled youtube commenter telling a creator some BS while not paying the creator or channel a dime and expecting custom tailored videos.. commenters like this jack-wagon are pathetic. Man, your video was fine. It was shot well and had plenty of different shots.
I like that want to add that to my collection of Smith and Wesson family

I've come to appreciate DA/SA, but it does take more practice.
I can’t find it anywhere.
They've been out of production for long enough that you'll have to find them on the used market. They pop up from time to time.
You might find that model on Gun Broker. The are other 3rd generation Smiths on that site.

I know a former police detective and he loved his.
Does anybody know if the magazines in the 3913 are compatible in the S&W CS9 9mm ?
I believe 3913 magazines will work in a CS9, but they'll stick out of the bottom.

@@Dragonfire1911 I think you'll be OK, but you're right, these magazines are getting expensive and harder to find than the guns.

Safety glasses? 🤦♂️
As an adult, I sometimes make the choice to shoot without them. Thanks so much for your concern.
Bro only you can make a gun video lame...
Waiting for your video to show me how it's done.
I feel he did just fine.
