I would make a bench seat/couch dinette where the big bed is, lower bunk for storage, and then sleep on the top bunk.
I'm 4'11" so it's a great fit for me! 🤗
I was thinking the same, but my head near a fridge might be noisy for sleeping.
I was thinking the same for the front bed and the rear bunk need to stay on the bottom and the window should be down there and make storage cabinets for the too bunk
They have the floorplan were instead of bunk beds they have a dinette .its the 13 RDX floorplan.
I love that is it small and my SUV could tow it. I’ll be honest, I don’t like the bunks. Being such a small unit they seem pointless. I would love to see a floor plan where the bunks are replaced with a larger bathroom, more storage, and a bigger kitchen. It’s almost perfect, the size is great for storing in my driveway and solo camping. I love to use this for when I travel to Women’s Retreats that often have rough camping or questionable cabins. It definitely needs a bigger kitchen & bathroom for these trips, (they are not your typical camping scenarios). I can’t wait to see it in person tomorrow at the Hershey RV show.
I concur
They seem like they'd be fairly easy to remove, but I'd much rather they didn't have it to begin with for sure. 😊
I agree not a fan of the bunk beds but they show two other models on their official website : 13RKX and 13RDX models not full details yet, but they show them without the bunks in the layouts. One has a dinette and one shows a sofa. I will put this one on my "list" and try to see them in January at the Tampa RV show which I'm hoping that they have them on display.
@lightjoycalm ooooh, would definitely prefer a dinette.
You writing a BOOK? SHUT UP AND LISTEN
That is neat, they need to make it with at least a murphy bed with a full width couch. No place to sit waiting for the rain to pass is crazy. One of the major reasons to drag a trailer over a tent is protection from the elements. Have enough seating to seat the same number it sleeps.
One of the other floor plans has a bar top with stools, or a dinette instead of the bunk beds
So this is dope. One of the things I believe RV companies get wrong is the need to fill space inside the RV with low quality crap, like dinettes and sofas. I would rather have the open floor space to do what I want with. So I'm actually glad this doesn't have those features. I would remove the bunks and turn that space next to the fridge into a storage space, and the rest of the previously-bunk-space into a desk with an office chair.
I don't care for preinstalled audio systems, thats a waste of space, give me a bigger fridge instead.
Thats the same thing I was saying as I was watching! Storage and a desk type area.
Very cute and practical little trailer! We bought one at the Hershey Show! However, we are having the bunks switched to a dinette with more storage above. We are a retired couple that does a lot of rail-fan hopping. This trailer will be great for the quick packing and very short stays from place to place. Plus, no need for us to get a bigger vehicle. (midsize Ford Ranger with tow pkg.) Has everything on our basic needs list and with a little easy tweaking, it will be perfect for us. The price was also great. Cannot wait to pick her up at our local Blue Compass in Oct.! 🙂 Also, a shout out to Sam, Tyler and RJ for making the process easier.
Sam was great! I’m still in contact with him. I told him when the prototype with the dinette comes out I want to take a trip to CT to see it!
Love it ! Would love to see more RV’s like this ☀️
I think I want to see more small camper trailers as well as realistically, I don't think I need that much space as you see in 5th wheels and wouldn't want to put that kind of money into something that I can't tow as I don't have a truck either, and then it gets really expensive. Most families have a van or SUV already though. I think more people will buy if it isn't too big of an investment, but still getting quality product. But I know there is the other end of the spectrum where people are looking for full-time or destination type RVs. :) :)
Cute!! Great for a smaller vehicle to pull. Has everything needed and gits anywhere.
The 13RKX is the one I like best with the kitchen and bath in the rear and a couch in the middle. The RDX would be ok with a dinette instead of the bunk beds. Since I don’t have kids, I wouldn’t want the bunk beds. The couch in the RKX folds down if you somehow need to store more bodies overnight. I have a folding table that would work for a dining table, or work surface with the couch. Or I bet a Lagun mount table would fit
A 6 cubic ft 12v fridge would be ideal & no bunks replacing with a table & chairs! ❤️ 0:15
Myles, growing up we camped, 3 kids and two parents in a pickup camper so naturally we went inside to basically sleep. We usually set up an awning so could sit out under it on a picnic table. All Kidding aside, it cost a lot to build even a small camper. I toyed with the idea of converting a 7x16 cargo trailer and all the vents, appliances tanks, materials I quit counting when I hit $10,000. So if it is a quality camper, not bad price.
Rather than having a bunk, I'd love for them to have a floor plan where the bed is still on top but with a desk seating area on the bottom so people can do work
I would dump the bunks and have a bigger bathroom and refrigerator space and a little more kitchen space. I doubt a person 6'4" would want a trailer this small.
I had the same idea in removing the bunks and making the bathroom a bit larger and adding a larger frig.
Yes. I agree & commented the same as well. If they made those changes, I would get it.
Agreed
They DO have exactly that! The 13RKX. Let me know if you would like someone from Blue Compass to help you find one!

Huck bolt RV frames are not stronger than welded frames, I'll take a welded frame over a Huck bolt any day. UA-camrs are buying into & spreading this bull 💩
Thanks for touring the show Myles, it is too far for my bad back to drive
New heat pump is a great idea when you have shore power, and at least it’s Forest river so usually decent quality
It's nice but for 13k I get a brand new 16 feet cargo trailer with a ramp so I'll be able to put bikes or ATVs and do a simple conversion with solar
Flip up bottom bunk for a desk, or dinette would be awesome and make this perfect. I was expecting a wet bath in a size this small. They really did a great job with a small space.
If the bathroom had a sink it would be perfect.
That Thing Is Sweet! Nice layout; small space. I prefer travel trailers less than 16 feet. The kicker is when I saw your hat; I had to chime in & subscribe. I'm a Colorado resident ... Howdy, Neighbor & Go, Broncos!
they apparently will make a version of this trailer that will have a small dinette in the place of the bunks. In my mind that would make an excellent solo trailer. Good place to sleep, and good place to eat or work on those inclement days. I bet these things sell very well. safe travels.
ALWAYS use caution buying an RV. Watch the videos on how they fall apart and then taking months to get it fixed
Back when I got my first camper, this would've been perfect for me. I mainly used that camper by myself (plus my dog) as a weekend fishing/hunting camper just to be a step up from tent camping.
At 6' tall the bed would be big enough for me. The bottom bunk would be for my dog and the top bunk would work great for fishing poles and long guns.
Not sure how it would work for a bunkhouse family camper at that size. It would be fine as long as the weather was good since you'd be outside until bedtime most days. However, even one day of bad weather where everyone was stuck inside and this thing would feel overcrowded quickly with nowhere to sit except the beds.
If it had a counter top with bar stools or a desk or even a 2-person dinette instead of bunk beds, I'd be jumping on it. lol
OMG this is perfect for my class B. Have been looking for something really small to pull behind.
Oh my gosh I love this little rv ❤
Thanks for the review. Nice little unit. We have the Aurora 16RBX. Live in the area and will be at the Hershey show this weekend. Will have to check this little guy out.👍
I like the layout with the dinette as it would only be two of us in a trailer this size. The shower needs one of those fold out curtain rod to increase the space. We installed one in our previous tiny trailer and it was very helpful!
I like this 👍 Camping for me is hiking, possibly swimming, campfire, checking out the tourist attractions of the park or venue.
Myles, I really enjoy your videos so not busting chops, but I’m 64, and $13,000 for that little camper is seriously inflation to me at that price. For contrast, my Dad bought his new 1969 ford pickup for $2,350 and an 11’ new Honey Bee camper for $1,150. I know it’s hard to believe but true. Neat little camper though, excellent for one person
Wow, the bunks were a surprise! How do you get on the top bunk? Assuming there is a ladder somewhere. It would have been fun to see you get up there. Yes, bunks are nice because you can use them for storage too if you want. When I went camping with my parents, I swam a lot in the lake or we went boating or fishing or played badminton or horseshoes. Haha. That sounds so funny. Now I would probably want to camp near hiking or biking trails or someplace scenic and explore nature. At night we would sit by the campfire and stargaze and talk (I mean when I went with my parents, and I still would enjoy being outside at night by a campfire in a peaceful setting.) Wonder what other people do? Will be interesting to see. Are most people out camping to enjoy nature?
Oh, and I like the light cabinets, and it is a pretty cute camper. :)
The bottom bunk actually looks like a really fun book nook! The more I figure out how I would use the space, the more I like it!
I would put some curtains on the top bunk to make it cozy looking.
I have a Lance truck camper, and I have all the amenities on it like a big rv would have but smaller.
Hiking and sleeping in a hammock with a good book.
I live in Wisconsin I'd say this thing would suck for any cold weather. But I prefer fall camping summer camping is hot and miss but I've always had a good time camping it to the fall
Overall, I like this RV for what it is. That being said, it INFURIATES me that so many RV manufacturers continually label Full size bed dimensions as "Queen" size in their advertising. The 6" width difference between Full and Queen is MASSIVE when it comes to couples camping and the differentiation needs to be respected.
This would be handy for a traveling Tradesman. Or this could be attached to the front of a large flatbed trailer. Then you could bring quads or a sxs camping.
This has zero storage for food and clothes. No thanks
Meant for a young family. Wouldn't change a thing. Great value.
Just mount some removable tables, like the lagoon (sp?) and table situation solved. Storage is limited, but I think it’s doable since there is storage available under the bunk. Just get containers. I think this is a really neat little trailer. I nearly fell over when I saw that it had bunk beds too.
Great price for such a tiny little camper, which is ideal for one person I hate the bunks I’d rather have a table and a booth
They DO have exactly that! The Aurora 13RKX. Let me know if you would like someone from Blue Compass to help you find one!
Coleman switched over to a furnace for 2025, and they're also made by Keystone now. This is a cute little unit!
Coleman Lantern Series for 2025 now being made by Keystone and comes with propane furnace and electric on demand water heater.
i like it. I would get rid of the bunks and have a sofa with storage under and above.
Ride Four-wheeler during the day,, set around the fire after the sun goes down.
nice job G
Not bad for such a small trailer that sleeps 3-4, great layout may need to add a few upgrades but seems great for price.
Perfect camper for dwarf people. Everything is the perfect size for small/short people.
😅🎉
Love it and would buy it in a heartbeat.
When I camp I will hike and relax by the campfire .
Can you not have the bike beds and place a seating area instead ?
Overall great little RV camper .
I would definitely see myself getting sth like this .
It would be nice if they offered a floorplan with a dinette in place of the bunks.
They DO have exactly that! The Aurora 13RDX. Let me know if you would like someone from Blue Compass to help you find one!
Wow … this is much nicer than I envisioned.
Nice 👍
This is a perfect size for me. But a sink is needed in the bath. If a sink can go in those tiny camper van baths then surely there's space in this trailer. Also not everone need bunks. Would be nice to have another version wo bunks to make room for a fridge with separate freezer, storage, and larger bath with sink. A little more countertop space too if possible. Or a flip/pull out extension. Otherwise great video Myles. Thanks
Or maybe to have a guest sleep space, keep the top bunk bed & remove the bottom bed. Then could have more storage & move the fridge & controls under the bed. But change to fridge with separate freezer. And larger bath space with sink.
You can you use the shower wand in the shower to wash your hands.
@kathykeene2092 Yes. Thank you for your suggestion. However, I would still need a sink. It can be used for more than washing hands. One example hand washing small clothing items. I would not use kitchen for that
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
I can see a single mom or dad who works as a traveling CNA or Nurse who has to take 1 or 2 kids with them having this.
They don't listen til the "SALES" don't improve. Save your breath.😢😮😅😊
Great trailer.
I just may buy this! We dirtbike all over the Colorado mountains
Why doesnt it have a table and seats that convert into a bed....so you could sit inside and eat or work on computer, Etc...then convert to bed when ready to sleep❓️🙃
Because this model/floorplan was made with bunks for kids. They have other models/floorplans that have exactly what you are talking about - 13RDX and 13RKX
@@kbridgesbut that front bed should be a dinette table and keep the bunks
Where is the shower insert? What happens when the walls in the shower get wet? Im confused lol.
Be great if there's a model instead of the bunks, there's small table/sitting area. Not too bad for the price.
They do. It’s the 13rdx model. It has a dinette
I like it.
Coleman’s do in fact have a furnace for 2025 I sell them as well as price point
If it didn't have the bunks it would be perfect!!!
There are 2 alternate floor plans without the bunks.
Forgot the awning
At least it's not like $30K or $60K like I've seen some of these going for
Bunk beds killed the plan for me. Hopefully they will make a model without the bunk beds.
They do! They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
Almost nice...Need a small table n seat.
Do they offer other options for the bunkhouse? Perhaps a work desk or bar?
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
How can the manufacturers call a 54 inch wide bed a Queen? Queen beds are 60 inch wide
The bed hangs over like 5 or 6 inches on the left side......that's crazy, hard pass for me
What stand will u be at?
@@joshhaldeman3316 I walk around filming RVs all day. But you’ll most likely find me in a Blue Compass display with Newmar or Entegra
This would be so much better for 2 with a dinette. Why would a family of 4 want such a small camper? The bunks are a bizarre design choice.
Because that is all some families of 4 want to spend or are able to tow. It's great for everyone to have camping options no matter what they drive or what they can afford. They also have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
The lower bunk I would put a clothes bar to hang clothes there.
Get rid of the bunks. Didn't care for them at all in this RV. More kitchen and bath. Perfect for 1-2.
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
Are they for sale now?
They are! Along with two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds. Let us know if you'd like someone from Blue Compass to help you find one near you!
Do they have a model with no bunks? 😎
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
Not an RV. It's a tiny home :) nice set up
It’s almost perfect as I just have a 3 year old! I just wish they did a Murphy bed situation!
Is the 4,000 lbs GVWR? That seems a bit heavy for something this small.
He added when he should have subtracted
No it's correct. 4k gvwr includes full tanks and all your gear
Oh look at that cute little thing. I bet I could tow it with my Honda Accord.
In your dreams! 😂😅😂😅
The bunks are a waste, seating would have been better.
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
You get what you pay for.
The comment about Huck bolts being stronger than welds is a blatant lie.
It is not a lie, but it IS debatable. Welding introduces an inherent point of potential cracking. If the weld is really good, probably will never be an issue, but the actual welded material itself is degraded from the original.
🤔
It almost always rains when I camp😂so NO comfortable place to sit☹️and a cheap entry level bathroom with a plastic toilet, no shower surround panel, a shower curtain, and having to wash my hands, brush my teeth and shave in the kitchen sink🤢are dealbreakers.
13k? 😂 Junk
As soon as I saw the bunk beds, that was it for me. Nop
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
who cooks with a microwave? i would loose the microwave and get an air fryer. the shower looks cheap, for $13k i think i'll pass. also get an Eagles hat .
😢
Broncos hat is fine!
shut your hole
Small travel trailers usually do not have an oven.
Eagles suck... Philly is the armpit of Pa
Ok. For me, people giving a tour of an RV and you’re not inside the rv within a minute, I’m out. Inside is the most important part and tours should be started there
It probably works better than a Brinkley
😂
Dude,it’s a camper, not an RV,if it don’t have an engine IT AINT AN RV
Recreational Vehicle is actually an all-encompassing name that defines any type of camper, including ones with motors. A motorhome is a type of RV. A travel trailer is a type of RV.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recreational_vehicle
Not an RV.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recreational_vehicle
Shoes on the bed is so gross.
After you said "and you have blah blah blah" the 5th time in less than 2 minutes I gave you a THUMBS DOWN and moved on to a much less used car/rv salesman vocabulary/attitude.
Good Riddance......BLAH !!!!!!
It’s a shame they could’ve done so much more with this little RV. The area with the bunkbeds could’ve made it into a nice sitting area with a removable table. They could’ve made the bed a couch that turned into a bed. I could’ve been a lot of things with it. I’m not too happy with how they wasted room. But it’s got everything you need and it’s not bad I do recommend it.
This is a floorplan for a family with kids. They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
Lose the bunks, you can get a bigger cargo trailer for less money and build it the way you want, we have a 6x14 cargo trailer that we made into a camper, just about 3 grand with everything, ac, counter, bed,
Your average Joe couldn't build a doghouse, much less build a camper.
Those of us that have such skills are extremely fortunate.
Not new. I don't even see how with everything used for $3k.
lose the bunks and pu the bathroom bigger all across the length of the back. plus bigger fridge and more cabinets instead of bunks. NOBODY is buying this thing for more than themselves. No family is camping in this tiny azz thing. ridiculous.
😢
I disagree. Those bunks would be great storage, and then you also have the option to have a guest. A family that spends a lot of time outdoors would love this.
This is great for families who don't care to spend the entire day inside the trailer. Also - this is all some families can afford, or all they can tow with their smaller vehicle. It's fantastic that it gives more people options to get out camping.
