I need a place to sleep, scrub up, and eat… this is perfect! Working from the road, I would replace bunks w/office, add strong internet antenna, and call it a day! 🎉
Very cute and practical little trailer! We bought one at the Hershey Show! However, we are having the bunks switched to a dinette with more storage above. We are a retired couple that does a lot of rail-fan hopping. This trailer will be great for the quick packing and very short stays from place to place. Plus, no need for us to get a bigger vehicle. (midsize Ford Ranger with tow pkg.) Has everything on our basic needs list and with a little easy tweaking, it will be perfect for us. The price was also great. Cannot wait to pick her up at our local Blue Compass in Oct.! 🙂 Also, a shout out to Sam, Tyler and RJ for making the process easier.
^ This! My wife and are looking at this as our first RV, upgrading from a tent. We were saying how we wish the bunks were a small table and seats with more storage, rather than the bunks. How difficult/expensive was that to do?
I would make a bench seat/couch dinette where the big bed is, lower bunk for storage, and then sleep on the top bunk. I'm 4'11" so it's a great fit for me! 🤗
I was thinking the same for the front bed and the rear bunk need to stay on the bottom and the window should be down there and make storage cabinets for the too bunk
I was thinking making the bunk beds dinette and making main bed single giving more room for other stuff....or just more room,,,,,from a solo camper perspective
Rather than having a bunk, I'd love for them to have a floor plan where the bed is still on top but with a desk seating area on the bottom so people can do work
Overall, I like this RV for what it is. That being said, it INFURIATES me that so many RV manufacturers continually label Full size bed dimensions as "Queen" size in their advertising. The 6" width difference between Full and Queen is MASSIVE when it comes to couples camping and the differentiation needs to be respected.
Need to update. The 2025 Colemans now have a furnace instead of that electric fireplace. Also got rid of that cheap hot water system and installed a on-demand tankless hot water. Keeping the same price.
So this is dope. One of the things I believe RV companies get wrong is the need to fill space inside the RV with low quality crap, like dinettes and sofas. I would rather have the open floor space to do what I want with. So I'm actually glad this doesn't have those features. I would remove the bunks and turn that space next to the fridge into a storage space, and the rest of the previously-bunk-space into a desk with an office chair. I don't care for preinstalled audio systems, thats a waste of space, give me a bigger fridge instead.
I think I want to see more small camper trailers as well as realistically, I don't think I need that much space as you see in 5th wheels and wouldn't want to put that kind of money into something that I can't tow as I don't have a truck either, and then it gets really expensive. Most families have a van or SUV already though. I think more people will buy if it isn't too big of an investment, but still getting quality product. But I know there is the other end of the spectrum where people are looking for full-time or destination type RVs. :) :)
Flip up bottom bunk for a desk, or dinette would be awesome and make this perfect. I was expecting a wet bath in a size this small. They really did a great job with a small space.
Myles, I really enjoy your videos so not busting chops, but I’m 64, and $13,000 for that little camper is seriously inflation to me at that price. For contrast, my Dad bought his new 1969 ford pickup for $2,350 and an 11’ new Honey Bee camper for $1,150. I know it’s hard to believe but true. Neat little camper though, excellent for one person
That is neat, they need to make it with at least a murphy bed with a full width couch. No place to sit waiting for the rain to pass is crazy. One of the major reasons to drag a trailer over a tent is protection from the elements. Have enough seating to seat the same number it sleeps.
Seems like the bed could turn into a table top like the good old trailers so you can convert it to play cards while it's raining or eat inside when bugs are crazy...
I love that is it small and my SUV could tow it. I’ll be honest, I don’t like the bunks. Being such a small unit they seem pointless. I would love to see a floor plan where the bunks are replaced with a larger bathroom, more storage, and a bigger kitchen. It’s almost perfect, the size is great for storing in my driveway and solo camping. I love to use this for when I travel to Women’s Retreats that often have rough camping or questionable cabins. It definitely needs a bigger kitchen & bathroom for these trips, (they are not your typical camping scenarios). I can’t wait to see it in person tomorrow at the Hershey RV show.
I agree not a fan of the bunk beds but they show two other models on their official website : 13RKX and 13RDX models not full details yet, but they show them without the bunks in the layouts. One has a dinette and one shows a sofa. I will put this one on my "list" and try to see them in January at the Tampa RV show which I'm hoping that they have them on display.
The 13RKX is the one I like best with the kitchen and bath in the rear and a couch in the middle. The RDX would be ok with a dinette instead of the bunk beds. Since I don’t have kids, I wouldn’t want the bunk beds. The couch in the RKX folds down if you somehow need to store more bodies overnight. I have a folding table that would work for a dining table, or work surface with the couch. Or I bet a Lagun mount table would fit
Came up randomly & this is why I love UA-cam! I've done a ton of truck camping out of my build but never had anything towed. Is crazy amazing how much stuff they cram nowadays into these little things! A shower? Full heat & AC, big fridge & microwave... not complaining but it almost takes the primitive element out of the camping experience IMO
Really nice for dog and I. Am in Western Canada. Perfect for photography jaunts. Current tow vehicle just 1500LBS. Doing my homework for when I can haul more. Great design and bunks perfect for photo gear.
Hi! Love this little RV! Perfect for my single Nomad travels in the winters from Michigan. That is a lot of bang for the buck! Wondering if you can remove the bunkbeds for more room for a little desk and computer etc. Thanks much!
You did a very nice job explaining everything in that trailer. You’re a good salesman. The only thing for me if I have a bought one because I’m retired and I live alone is, I would change the bottom bunk into a couch and that could be used as a bed too, and you still have the bunk above And in the bathroom, if I could put a small mirror and a small sink, then I think it would have everything you would need, but you did a great job explaining it all. Thanks again.
Very nice little rig. I can think of couple different floor plan mods to add seating or storage since sleeping 3/4 in that space isn't really practical.
I'm curious if anybody has towed one of these with a Subaru Wilderness? The Outback and Crosstrek can tow 3,500 pounds, and the Forester can tow 3,000 pounds. I'm contimplating eventually buying one of the aforementioned vehicles, and would definitely consider a small camper such as this, which would be perfect. I love taking road trips, but had to stop due to chronic migraines with visual aura, and plethora of G.I. problems, (hence my need for a bed and restroom). If any of you have towed one of these with a Subaru Wilderness, did you have any issues connecting it? How did the vehicle perform with the camper attached? Thanks in advance for any insight.
Get rid of the pass-through storage like someone else said and make that room for two recliner chairs. Then maybe add a folding platform bed above the recliner chairs. On the bunk bed side, put in a large hatch to access the lower bunk area for storage if needed, canoes, kayaks, bicycles. I want a hatch in the bathroom to remove/empty a composting toilet.
That Thing Is Sweet! Nice layout; small space. I prefer travel trailers less than 16 feet. The kicker is when I saw your hat; I had to chime in & subscribe. I'm a Colorado resident ... Howdy, Neighbor & Go, Broncos!
This seems so much better than the T@B and i'm really surprised. Shower, toilet, sink, you don't have to "fold up" the bed. The "bunk bed" area can be storage. Really nice for the price!
I like it! But would be perfect if the full bed was a jack knife couch that makes into a bed , or possibly removable tables in front of it, or the flip over trays on each end of couch.
I'm getting this!! I love it. I have a 27ft skamper lite..... it's heavy and bulky. This is great for 2 people more than enough room. But yes some modifications to b had. Like a place to sit. Otherwise it's good to go
I love this little thing. Great layout, great price. Normally, I wouldn't like those bunks, but great for an off the floor storage area for sure, and to have the option of friends visit. good layout for sure.
For tight spaces, you can use a wide angle lens like a 10-12mm lens -- this will allow you to show more space in the frame. For the brightness, you can use an attachable filter such as an ND, UV, or Polarizing lens filter. Thanks for showing this RV 👍
Solo I could see removing the bed and opening the area up. The top rack could store items once parked. Traveling the lower bunk could keep items securely tied down. It’s certainly clever and great for one or maybe two for traveling
Myles, growing up we camped, 3 kids and two parents in a pickup camper so naturally we went inside to basically sleep. We usually set up an awning so could sit out under it on a picnic table. All Kidding aside, it cost a lot to build even a small camper. I toyed with the idea of converting a 7x16 cargo trailer and all the vents, appliances tanks, materials I quit counting when I hit $10,000. So if it is a quality camper, not bad price.
I take my Kaabo Wolf King GTR electric scooter with me. I ride it around towns big and small. It's a fantastic way to get around without having to unhook my trailer.
Back when I got my first camper, this would've been perfect for me. I mainly used that camper by myself (plus my dog) as a weekend fishing/hunting camper just to be a step up from tent camping. At 6' tall the bed would be big enough for me. The bottom bunk would be for my dog and the top bunk would work great for fishing poles and long guns. Not sure how it would work for a bunkhouse family camper at that size. It would be fine as long as the weather was good since you'd be outside until bedtime most days. However, even one day of bad weather where everyone was stuck inside and this thing would feel overcrowded quickly with nowhere to sit except the beds.
This would be handy for a traveling Tradesman. Or this could be attached to the front of a large flatbed trailer. Then you could bring quads or a sxs camping.
Most interesting thing we do is stargazing. Sometimes we have the telescope. Amazing. My cousin once questioned if Saturn was real when a neighbor set up his rig. Love it!
This trailer would be perfect for me. I currently have a class b van. It is just too narrow and crappy at kitchen. I would simply use bolsters in daytime and turn bed into a sofa. I am a single senior and it would be perfect. And the price point is great. The double bunks would be great to have in case one of my nieces wanted to go with me. But usually I would store things in it. I am on the road a lot. So I love this. As soon as I get my van paid down where I can sell it, this would be perfect. Will have to take a look at it.
Same layout as the coachman catalina 134...now i have to compare wheight and price and all the features, small differences like the led light on the awning and the window on the catalina is on the lower bunk..but either will be a great choice for my familly of 3 and towing wheight for my vehicles
Take out the bunk beds then add a big closet in the back corner. Have space for a recliner and portable table or zero gravity chair or something. O would also have a porcelain toilet put in, on demand water heater, 12 volt fridge, and a largest exhaust fan with remote. Then it would be good to go.
Thanks for the review. Nice little unit. We have the Aurora 16RBX. Live in the area and will be at the Hershey show this weekend. Will have to check this little guy out.👍
This is about 70% perfect for me. What the fresh water capacity, gray water and black water. How is the water heated? Wired for solar or cameras? A lot of information not given. I'd be dragging it around with a 2001 Chev S10 long bed 4x4 4.3 V6 auto. With a 250cc dual sport in the bed. What do you think? I have towed a 3.6k lbs. Boat before with no problems.
I worked in the cabinet shop building NO Bo units there were times when the wood I used was dripping wet had to use rags to wipe the water of my table this was at Forest River beware of RV factories that store wood out in the weather.
And Forest River campers have had many many issues over the years. Do your research. Read a lot of reviews. Hopefully they made this well. But, to be labeled "The Cheapest", it might be that for a reason.
Just mount some removable tables, like the lagoon (sp?) and table situation solved. Storage is limited, but I think it’s doable since there is storage available under the bunk. Just get containers. I think this is a really neat little trailer. I nearly fell over when I saw that it had bunk beds too.
I like the layout with the dinette as it would only be two of us in a trailer this size. The shower needs one of those fold out curtain rod to increase the space. We installed one in our previous tiny trailer and it was very helpful!
I'm curious about traveling around the country to mountain bike, so I'm curious about RV traveling. This is actually the first video I've watched about any of this stuff, so I'm a newbie. I don't think my front-wheel drive SUV could haul more than 3,500 lbs, so I'm not sure if this would be for me. Do you have any other ideas of small RVs I should be looking at?
they apparently will make a version of this trailer that will have a small dinette in the place of the bunks. In my mind that would make an excellent solo trailer. Good place to sleep, and good place to eat or work on those inclement days. I bet these things sell very well. safe travels.
I wish someone would put out a small travel trailer with pullouts like the larger trailers sometimes have. If there is a trailer that could use one surely it's a small one. Perhaps this trailer could have had space then for a small dinette table and seats.
I don't really know much about camper vs but, why would you put your black tank dirty water above you clean water to then leak down to contaminate your clean water ?
Wow, the bunks were a surprise! How do you get on the top bunk? Assuming there is a ladder somewhere. It would have been fun to see you get up there. Yes, bunks are nice because you can use them for storage too if you want. When I went camping with my parents, I swam a lot in the lake or we went boating or fishing or played badminton or horseshoes. Haha. That sounds so funny. Now I would probably want to camp near hiking or biking trails or someplace scenic and explore nature. At night we would sit by the campfire and stargaze and talk (I mean when I went with my parents, and I still would enjoy being outside at night by a campfire in a peaceful setting.) Wonder what other people do? Will be interesting to see. Are most people out camping to enjoy nature?
This is a perfect size for me. But a sink is needed in the bath. If a sink can go in those tiny camper van baths then surely there's space in this trailer. Also not everone need bunks. Would be nice to have another version wo bunks to make room for a fridge with separate freezer, storage, and larger bath with sink. A little more countertop space too if possible. Or a flip/pull out extension. Otherwise great video Myles. Thanks
Or maybe to have a guest sleep space, keep the top bunk bed & remove the bottom bed. Then could have more storage & move the fridge & controls under the bed. But change to fridge with separate freezer. And larger bath space with sink.
@kathykeene2092 Yes. Thank you for your suggestion. However, I would still need a sink. It can be used for more than washing hands. One example hand washing small clothing items. I would not use kitchen for that
I would dump the bunks and have a bigger bathroom and refrigerator space and a little more kitchen space. I doubt a person 6'4" would want a trailer this small.
I live in Wisconsin I'd say this thing would suck for any cold weather. But I prefer fall camping summer camping is hot and miss but I've always had a good time camping it to the fall

wtf cheapest what msr
@@scottmckenzie-hb1xj $12,995
I would never buy the cheapest RV.
I need a place to sleep, scrub up, and eat… this is perfect! Working from the road, I would replace bunks w/office, add strong internet antenna, and call it a day! 🎉
I say the same thing. The back cubby hole can be a closet. Then a fold down desk.
RESPECT
What kind of antenna do you like/recommend for that?
Very cute and practical little trailer! We bought one at the Hershey Show! However, we are having the bunks switched to a dinette with more storage above. Sam was great! I’m still in contact with him. I told him when the prototype with the dinette comes out I want to take a trip to CT to see it!
^ This! My wife and are looking at this as our first RV, upgrading from a tent. We were saying how we wish the bunks were a small table and seats with more storage, rather than the bunks.
How difficult/expensive was that to do?
If I had that. I would sleep on the bottom bunk. And where the big bed is. Take it out and put a nice comfortable recliner chair
That would eliminate the pass-through under storage. I am sure there is a non-bunkhouse model that may incorporate a dining table or bigger bathroom.
That was my thought
I was thinking the same thing
Remove bottom bunk in favor of a desk. Corner nook has storage tote(s) in there.
I'd gO broke buying it little bitty😮😮Camper, ...just Saying There's HurrICANES..... BrewING EVERYWHERE.

They have the floorplan were instead of bunk beds they have a dinette .its the 13 RDX floorplan.

Meant for a young family. Wouldn't change a thing. Great value.

Very nice little rig. I can think of couple different floor plan mods to add seating or storage since sleeping 3/4 in that space isn't really practical.

By any chance, do you know how long the bunks are? My 17 yr old is 6'2".
The bunks are 70" long
@@BlueCompassRV awesome, thanks!
This would be handy for a traveling Tradesman. Or this could be attached to the front of a large flatbed trailer. Then you could bring quads or a sxs camping.
This has zero storage for food and clothes. No thanks
Most interesting thing we do is stargazing. Sometimes we have the telescope. Amazing. My cousin once questioned if Saturn was real when a neighbor set up his rig. Love it!
Whats the weight. And kind of wind would it tolerate
OMG I love it ! this will be great for me& my husband on our fishing trip saltwater fishing & fresh water fishing weekends.
Whats the tounge weight capacity? My bronco max at 350lbs
That's a great base camp trailer. Somewhere warm and dry to get cleaned up after whatever adventure.
At least it's not like $30K or $60K like I've seen some of these going for
I'm glad I stumbled by this video. This is exactly what I'm looking for and now my goal to eventually buy.
RESPECT
Same layout as the coachman catalina 134...now i have to compare wheight and price and all the features, small differences like the led light on the awning and the window on the catalina is on the lower bunk..but either will be a great choice for my familly of 3 and towing wheight for my vehicles
I like it! I would like to see the bunks gone and open up the space inside with couch but over all a very cool camper
I like this little camper. I would sleep top bunk, remove big bed and add a small couch then remove bottom bunk for dog kennels and extra storage.
ALWAYS use caution buying an RV. Watch the videos on how they fall apart and then taking months to get it fixed
Do they have a Floorplan in that size with a sofa instead of the bunks?
Yes! You'll want to look at the Aurora 13RKX 😊 Let us know if we can connect you with someone to help you find one!
Another dirtbike enthusiast and shooter here. Mainly in Upper Michigan on some property I own.
I bet these things sell very well. safe travels.
that is amazing for the size!
All good except that glass door. Is it a safety glass door? I have an issue with safety and privacy.
Do you know when this will be for sale?
What stand will u be at?
@@joshhaldeman3316 I walk around filming RVs all day. But you’ll most likely find me in a Blue Compass display with Newmar or Entegra
Other than a retractable shower curtain it's a perfect little deer camping RV. Ooh got to have
A max air fan to help circulate air.
2 things, love the Broncos hat and second, I guess the almost queen bed does not turn into a dinette area?
Does it come without the bunk's option?
Yes you can get either the 13RDX or 13RKX floorplans that do not have bunks.
I wish someone would put out a small travel trailer with pullouts like the larger trailers sometimes have. If there is a trailer that could use one surely it's a small one. Perhaps this trailer could have had space then for a small dinette table and seats.
I have a Lance truck camper, and I have all the amenities on it like a big rv would have but smaller.
I don't really know much about camper
vs but, why would you put your black tank dirty water above you clean water to then leak down to contaminate your clean water ?
Do they offer other options for the bunkhouse? Perhaps a work desk or bar?
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
Love this! This is a perfect starting camper, esp for my family - thanks for the comprehensive review!
Love the price! I do miss the dinette but can do with eating outside. I like the layout and that it can sleep 4 comfortably.
Oh, and I like the light cabinets, and it is a pretty cute camper. :)
The bottom bunk actually looks like a really fun book nook! The more I figure out how I would use the space, the more I like it!
I would put some curtains on the top bunk to make it cozy looking.
Coleman’s do in fact have a furnace for 2025 I sell them as well as price point
This would be perfect for me and my Land Rovers!! And I really like the A/T tires since I'm always on gravel roads
You can you use the shower wand in the shower to wash your hands.
@kathykeene2092 Yes. Thank you for your suggestion. However, I would still need a sink. It can be used for more than washing hands. One example hand washing small clothing items. I would not use kitchen for that
They have two other variations of this model. The 13RKX and 13RDX, both with no bunk beds.
Coleman switched over to a furnace for 2025, and they're also made by Keystone now. This is a cute little unit!
I would dump the bunks and have a bigger bathroom and refrigerator space and a little more kitchen space. I doubt a person 6'4" would want a trailer this small.
I had the same idea in removing the bunks and making the bathroom a bit larger and adding a larger frig.
Yes. I agree & commented the same as well. If they made those changes, I would get it.
They DO have exactly that! The 13RKX. Let me know if you would like someone from Blue Compass to help you find one!

I live in Wisconsin I'd say this thing would suck for any cold weather. But I prefer fall camping summer camping is hot and miss but I've always had a good time camping it to the fall
I'm really liking that they're putting out small campers like this. Here's an identical camper without bunks; Coachmen Catalina 134rdx.
These also are the same - the Aurora 13RDX :)
