  • When talking about how to build an effective daily schedule, morning routines usually get all of the attention; however, having an effective night routine is just as, if not more, important. Here are five reasons why your night routine is holding you back, and what you can do to fix it.
    An effective night routine serves three fundamental purposes: it helps you wind down from the day, sets you up for a successful tomorrow, and primes your body for sleep. Each mistake on this list affects one of these three fundamental purposes.
    If you find this video helpful or have any additional night routine tips, let me know in the comment section down below!

    honestly, developing a night time routine a few years back was the best decision i've ever made in my life. I know exactly how much sleep my body needs, I feel great soon after waking up and i am energised most of the day. I prioritise my night time routine and sleep basically always.

    Taking a warm bath before bed helps relax your muscles as well. I’ve been struggling with sticking to a night time routine for some years. I used to have neighbours that would leave on a flood light all the time. I think that has caused major issues for me. I have moved since then and I get better sleep now than I did.

    I have a question- because of my school schedule, I need to wake up at 5:30 on weekdays. However when I get to the weekends, I'm usually really tired and can't make myself get up that early. Is it bad if I wake up 7-8 on weekends and 5:30 on weekdays?

    • @batman5655
      @batman5655 2 роки тому +3

      While it's good to be in a consistent sleep schedule, catching up on sleep over the weekend has its benefits. If you feel tired during the week and don't catch up on sleep over the weekend, having a consistent sleep schedule won't really matter if you still aren't rested

    • @johnnycruiser2846
      @johnnycruiser2846 2 роки тому +6

      @@batman5655 There's no such thing as cathig up. Yes, you'll feel better with more sleep, however the negative effects from the week days will persist. Being consistent throughout the whole week is the key.
      Peace

    • @batman5655
      @batman5655 2 роки тому +3

      @@johnnycruiser2846 What I mean when I say consistent is that's it's a good idea to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. I'm saying that if you're not getting enough sleep during the week, consistency in this case is not a good thing, and you should get more during the weekend even if it's inconsistent.

    is 8 hours of sleep enough ?

    • @palzma
      @palzma Рік тому

      depends if you feel rested in the morning. also, good thing to remember is just because your in your bed for 8 hours doesn't mean your getting 8 hours of sleep I recommend using some sort of sleep tracking app to track your sleep (if you need one I would personally recommend the app called 'sleep cycle'

    • @palzma
      @palzma Рік тому

      @@GubiYoroi2 you can track with or without some sort of sleep-tracking device like an apple watch. Its surprisingly accurate without an apple watch. like today I forgot to track on the app with my watch and its said I got
      9:12 minutes in bed and 8:37 minutes asleep
      and on my watch since it tracks by itself just not on the app
      9:15 minutes and 8:34 minutes asleep
