I follow pretty much same, except I do take breakfast (not the one you showed) and for last few months, I've grown the "Checking my phone in the morning" habit which I hope to get rid of 😓
Im no scientists but you're probably gonna need gigantic glasses to sustain your vision by the time youre 60yo if you keep doing that,Possibly become partailly blind since your eyes "hate" that kind of exposure and react the way they do for a reason.
1. Don't use your phone in the morning 2. Make your bed 3. Rehydrate 4. Remove sweets 5. Exercise 6. Mindfulness - meditation 7. Write - gratitude, goals (long, short), affirmations - 3 targets
From personal experience I can recommend to think of what to eat and what to "get ready" in the evening, so that you could just do things in the morning without thinking. Otherwise that thinking part takes a lot of time as we all are full of brainfarts in the morning and tend to think/decide way longer than usually
Some men like me are like woman. They just need that much time maybe because: -Perfectionists -weak condition (might lead to doing thinks in slow paste) -In my case I had to live only with my mother (father in another country) which makes me copy only her actions (she herself requires much time to prepare herself and so I do copy her habit after watching and experiencing )
The stretching your body in the morning thing is really amazing. I always do some yoga postures as soon as I wake up, sometimes while still on my bed. It makes a HUGE difference of how I feel during the day, making it more positive of course
I agree 110%. I used to hate mornings, now I hate not having my me time. Ive developed almost the same routine, except mine is two hours and I try to fit in yoga or walking the dog, interchangeably. I started to really value this alone, self nurturing time. It has made me a more calm person. Rushing out the door is starting the day off in chaos. If Im really short on time, then I choose between journaling, meditating and yoga, whichever I feel I could benefit the most. This routine works great for me when Im working, but not so great for me when Im in school, because Im a late night studier. So Im going to have to figure out what works while in medical school.
@@moha4732 Yeah! More content in less time! 1.25× speed doesn't even sound too different. With captions (even the auto-generated one) you can easily go to higher speeds while still catching the information easily. Nowadays, I've gotten so used to watching videos at 1.5× speed that hearing UA-camrs talk at 1× speed is weird.
Hi Dr.Jubbal you probably won’t ever read this but I really appreciate your channel. I’m a junior in high school with my cumulative GPA at a 2.2. Last year I took medical assistant classes and realized how much I love medicine and science and hope to major in biochem. Your videos have helped me so much!!! Last semester I had a 2.3 gpa this semester I have a 4.2! I hope to keep it like this and keep this motivation going into college
My (Mon-Fri) Morning routine: 05:30- Wake up -Make my bed -Feed My Pets -Clean Teeth, Shower etc - Get dressed - Do my hair 06:20- Do breakfast -Revise lines for production -Watch TV/check social media etc -Pack everything -Grab everything -Say goodbye -Out the door by 07:45 for school. Couldn't have it any other way 😁 Please tell me if I am doing things wrong though.
Even better, image waking up on time... going into the bathroom to drop the kids off... then shout. “YES” Now you woke everyone up, and everyone is confused.
I love this video, I also watched the night routine one, and I gotta say that they were great, they fixed my morning and night routines and I feel a completely new person.Thank you!!!
We're currently working on another routine video that will outline how to craft the best day routine for your lifestyle needs. Stay tuned! And thanks for watching.
It blows my mind to think that there are actually people out there without what feels like a million mental health issues who watch videos like these and afterwards are able to tell their friends things like "you know, I've implemented this new morning routine. I've been doing it for a couple of months and it has really improved my energy levels and productivity". I mean, go you! But I really only have to focus on the little things (like making my bed, showering, getting groceries - which I manage about twice a months if I'm lucky) because it's so hard to go beyond that. And it might be just the bubble I'm in but it seems like I only talk to people who struggle with similar problems. Videos like these are certainly helping some people out there, I'm sure. But they're also making me feel very anxious and guilty about all the things I'm not able to do. Yes, I don't NEED to watch them, of course, but when you're in a state like this, videos with titles like "how to improve" or "how to get better at" (you name it) are like a magnet because of this constant awareness that there is something wrong with the way you live your life. I don't even know why I'm writing this comment, is it a complaint or am I looking for reassurance...I don't know.
Wow I really feel you. It's great that you're aware of the state that you're in. Time heals, and hopefully you'll be able to build a routine that works for you personally. Keep it up. ☺️💕
The part of this that I'd start with, because I know someone who was very depressed and this helped (it's a common thing, not just from this video) is to write down 3 things you'll do that day, and check them off. And to make new connections in your brain, say something after each one, like "I accomplished a goal". Look at the list later and say again after each one, "I accomplished a goal!". Even if those 3 things are a shower, one decent meal, picking up all your clothes, throwing away 10 pieces of garbage (if your place is a mess), walking around the house or apt building, or even just stepping outside for a minimum of 3 deep breaths... small things. And you don't have to shower every day, so stop feeling guilty about that. Put it on your list 3-4x a week and use a washcloth if you need to in between (seriously, lol!). The items should be *small*, so you are able to do them. The key is to cause your brain to see that you are capable of saying you'll do something and doing it. You must write it, and cross it off, and say something after, even if it's just repeating what you did, "I picked up my clothes!". Food shopping is quite a big task. One day make a list. The next day go shopping, and only put away the cold things in the fridge. Leave "put away non-perishables" for the next day's list. Hope you are doing well. 🙂
One thing I found helped me keep from falling into a rut when I first left home was to write down 3 things that went well at the end of the day. Some days I really struggled to find them, and would put things like "I bought groceries", but I always found something, even if I had to look hard. This video mentions reducing friction, that can come in many ways. Like sometimes dentist say to just start by flossing 1 tooth. It feels so stupidly small a task that it is suddenly more approachable, and you can then work from there once you are getting used to doing it. A ladder with many small steps, taken one at a time, is much easier to climb than one where the rungs are extremely spaced out. I will say though, it sounds like you're in a particularly hard place at the moment and could benefit from some outside help. Be that talking to your GP about checking bloods and maybe medication, seeing a therapist, or confiding in a friend. I hope you can find a way forward that works for you.
the thing is that these are just suggestions, if you already feel happy with how your day progresses you're fine. Some people just need an extra boost, others can be productive just by waking up and reading/working. I personally get so much power from a good routine. I wake up early and feel like I have the whole day ahead and I feel like I do so many more things than when I wake up late. That's just 1 perk. I also do cold showers and run 20 minutes every morning and this gets me in a great mood . I make my breakfast and then I am able to work, in like 40 minutes time from waking up, I have trained, showered and eaten breakfast and I'm ready and clean for the day. I never make my bed , and I also heard it's bad because you are trapping hymidity and bacteria under the sheets anyway, but I never felt that it helped my anyway. I just jump in the same bed at night anyways. also at the end of the day it helps when I write what I should do the next day as like a to do list.
Okay, now for the serious comment... First off: I dont know what's making your content so sassy lately, but I dig it! Keep it up. It's awesome. Over the years I started applying some these routine steps without thinking much about it. I'd realise that using my phone in the morning would fuck my mood up and just stopped doing that. Eating would make me feel bloated and uncomfortable, and since in Germany we had to work with corpses every morning for a couple of semesters, feeling the food in your stomach wasn't a great plan, so i automatically stopped eating breakfast. I would combine some stretching with mindfulness exercises and I'd feel like I could move mountains - which I did. Studying Medicine + rocking three jobs + experimenting with some UA-cam videos + working out + making time for my hobbies and relationships. And you know what?! I wouldn't be SHIT if I hadn't found your channel years ago, learning how to manage my time and work on my system to achieve my goals. Insane. Thank you for helping me (and many others!)
Thank you so much for letting him know that! It's things like these that inspire people like him to have the drive to keep up this UA-cam channel and the blog.
My morning routine is clearly superior: 1.) Hitting the snooze button ~ 5 times until I realize that I'm gonna be late 2.) Sitting on the edge of my bed trying not to cry 3.) Cry 4.) Drinking enough coffee to fuck up my stomach and leave the toilet in an outrageous state 5.) Leaving in a hurry thinking about how I could still lay in bed rn 6.) Repeat everyday
Once I truly began my career after college and moved out to live alone, I found out how necessary a morning routine was. Nowadays, I wake up at about 4AM to 5AM so I too could work out, read, cook healthy food and start work in 9AM. My routine isn't perfect, but I couldn't imaging a life doing it any other way and still getting out of life what's important to me.
I wake up at 6 am, put on some clothes and go to the kitchen. In the kitchen I usually make something with eggs or banana to get some protein, fibers and carbohydrates. I then drink 2-4 glasses of water to rehydrate and take a cold shower. From then I track what I've eaten so I know my caloric intake, brush my teeth and I get out the door at 7.30 so I can meet up at school a little earlier.
That's so true, since I stopped doing my morning routine my life is like falling apart pieces by pieces. By the way, I really like the routine you have built during these years, it is so balanced.
I love how you just plug in your channel, company, and services in the middle of your videos and it still feels so smooth and normal. I've been watching for a year, just trying to see what life is as a Med-student because I'm trying to find out if I really want to be a doctor and how much it will take to do it. Thanks for making this teenager's life easier than it already is!
I recently got an internship and I need to wake up two hours earlier than I normally do, so this video came at the right time. 1. Starting proactive - Guess I should extend the DND on my phone to 30min after I wake up, so I won't see notifications when I first open my eyes even if I try. 2. Organisation - Well, I always keep my room tidy so I don't feel like I accomplished a task when I make my bed. Come to think of it, I don't have anything in my morning routine that feels like I did the first task of the day. 3. Nutrition - I always wake up so dehydrated that I always need to drink something in the morning. Looking forward to the nutrition video, since nutrition is so complicated and I don't know what to believe or practise. 4. Activity - I need this. My posture and flexibility are awful. Any suggestions for this type of exercise without equipment? I'm sharing a room with my brother so I don't have any space to roll around on the floor. 5. Mindfulness - I find meditation and mindfulness practices to be very difficult. When I sit down and focus on my breathing, I end up having breathing difficulties and becoming quite uncomfortable after a few minutes. 6. Reflection - This sounds really helpful. I usually keep my goals as a mental checklist and of course I'll usually forget them. I've tried doing something like this before but I never stuck with it, so I'll try to pick this habit up again. Loved the humour. Edit: I have no idea how people can get ready in 20min or less. I always give myself an hour so I can sleepily stumble my way around the house.
@@mahmoudmoustafa5263 I do, sometimes even two glasses. I have a sinus problem that makes my nose get clogged up easily, so I have to breathe with my mouth and the air movement causes my throat and mouth to dry out very easily.
Oh okay, anyway once you get a set routine and add exercise that won't matter. I also have a clean room and making my bed doesn't seem like a big deal but it gets the routine rolling for me. It's like turning the switch, once I make my bed, the routine is on. For exercise search AthleanX. He's really good. Just focus on the freebody weight exercises if you don't have access to a gym.
Heres my philosophy on reaching your goals. Step 1 - get a diary Step 2 - write down your goals and where you want to be in the next 5 years. Step 3 - get a plan Steo 4 - get up of your ass. Whats held me back was beer, smoking , my phone and laziness. Its never to late to change your life. I believe in you.
This is the advice on morning routines that I've been looking for. I am in DNP school, and struggle to stay talk oriented d/t ADHD. This video gives simple, practical advice instead of someone going on and on about their own Instagram-ready life. Thanks! I'm excited to check out your other videos
Thanks for the anatomy, but what about the physiology of a perfect morning routine? And what about the clinical anatomy and pathophysiology of an imperfect mornong routine?
my morning routine wakes up at 6 do bed walks our dogs for like 30 mins prepares breakfast do exercise (zumba ) rest for a while eat do some journal ( bible app) summer edition ---make art / watch videos ( more likely documentaries or things like this) school edition- attend online meetings etc rainy days edition- sleep (lol) usually listen to music and just enjoy the rain And that's on my routine ,whatever the day looks like I make sure to fix bed, cook, exercise and eat + PRAY. It makes me feel better throughout the day .Really effective
4:43am: wakes up in panic thinking I’m late for school and starts to hyperventilate 5:30am: wakes up again because I think i’m late 5.54am: wakes up for real this time 6-6.10am: my actual alarm rings and i get ready for school 6.10-6.30am: read wattpad/watch Netflix/scroll through Pinterest 6.30-6.40am: migrate from room to living room and continue watching phone 6.55am: leave the house 7.15am: dad drops me at sch
This is more like the perfect routine of a person with a technical job/mindset. I have found the optimum routine for an artist requires a little more chaos. But many good points here
I have my morning routine too, since a while now, and what I could add to this great video, for people who want to start: - It's normal to feel "lost" at the beginning. - Also, your first routines won't be perfect, streamlined, efficient... they'll be messy, unnecessary long and uncomfortable. Be gentle with yourself and improve it day by day until, at some point, a couple of weeks after maybe, it becomes an automatized moment in your day, truly pleasant and rewarding. - Your routine actually begins the evening before going to bed, you'll see ;) - My routine is totally different from yours @kevin, and so is everybody's. Don't compare with anybody. It took me weeks to figure out mine. This is the hardest part, I think. Quick tip: Write down what you love the most in life, what you want to achieve, and break it down to put a very tiny slice of it in your routine. Made me write a book! Haha. Never imagine I could do that one day. - You must accept that it's YOUR moment, you have the right to have it. Embrace it, enjoy it, have fun, don't be afraid. It's not a coincidence that it changes the life of everybody doing it, right?
A really strong advice that i can give you, you the viewer: Whenever you go to sleep: Think of what you did in the day. First describe it only and then analyse it / say what you liked about the activities you did and what not. After that IMAGINE how tomorrow the day will look like. And at the end think of what you want to change from your completed day for tomorrow and or repeat the same action. This might save you lots of sleeping issues and GREATLY improve: -Productivity -Motivation / additional courage -More joy, less sorrow -More addaptation EDIT: Oh and whenever you have to do something that makes you feel scared or not courageble enough (like job interview, presentation before class etc) think of what the worst thing could happen after that. EDIT 2: I take back what I said. After comming back to this comment that I made years ago, I find it kind of cringe. The first 2 repplies under my initial comment support my current statement. I don't know, just come up with your own solution and hope you will solve your problems evntually
Blensidi Today I went to work and came home to watch Netflix for the rest of the day, tomorrow I will do the same, doesn’t help me think positively at all 😕
I find mornings a perfect time for studying/reading while drinking tea. The calmness and the complete silence helps me to focus on the task. There are no distractions, no friends messaging you (because they are sleeping), no one can tell you what needs to be done housework wise etc. It also helps me to set a productive note for my day. Waking up early also helps with the beginning of the day - I'm fully awake when the schoolday starts (no more half-sleeping during the first lesson)
And always remember: you don't need to be a superman of productivity to be happy. Just enjoy the good things and don't stress yourself for not being like this.
Sounds like an excuse to continue not being the best version of yourself. Unfortunately many people are okay with that which is why we have a lazy and fat society
1. Starting reactive vs starting proactive 2. Organization; making your bed 3. Nutrition and hydration decreasing friction; intermittent fasting 4. Activity / motion; mobility routine 5. Mindfulness; guided meditation; going for a walk 6. Reflection and intention; morning template; three targets for the day 7. Experiment for yourself
My amazing morning routine: 1) Try to sleep at 5 am 2) Sleeps 1 hour 3) Question my existence for 20 mins 4) Try to get out of bed 5) Can’t get out of bed so you sleep another hour 6) get out of bed 7) very unhealthy breakfast 8) Skincare 9) Cry because I have to be productive 10) repeat
I can deeply relate to the “wake up early” thing. I graduated engineering last year, and for three of my 5 years in college, I purposely woke up 2-3 hours earlier than needed just so I wouldn’t have to rush things. I also spend at least 5 minutes everyday doing nothing, just literally staring at nothing. Sometimes this caused me to have only 3 hours of sleep for the whole day but it was worth it for me. I didn’t like rushing myself lol
add: -wake up 4am or 5 am, but please no more than 6am if possible. -to achieve that go to bed 22hs. (I know it's usual in the US but not around here in Argentina). -Add water to the morning (at least 2 glasses of water right after jumping off the bed). I do usually grab 2 glasses of water right after brushing teeth and... -..take shower. Shower is the most important thing right after wake up and taking water...but....at least for me doing excercise it's the MOST important thing right after the bed so...first at least 20 min hard cardio then ...shower. I take from video: -mindfulness practice (I still have no 100% accurate understanding on what that really means) -3 daily yes or yes objectives Thank you man, great video.
Hi! I used to use my phone right after I wake up! But that changed after I was studying herbs! Medical herbs to be exact! So, I decided to wake up around 6:30 every day! And after 2 weeks I didn’t even need a alarm anymore. After waking up at 6:30 everyday I fixed my sleeping habits I used to sleep at 11:00 to 1:00! But know I am sleeping at 10:35 since I have to study 📚 and it kinda distracts me from actual sleep 🛌 My room was messy so dirty when I didn’t watch this video clothes were on the floor pencils, etc. But then I just snapped and cleaned my room I felt so alive I felt motivated! But sometimes I have some work to do and it gets dirty but I clean it again! Thanks Med School Insiders!
1. starting reactive vs starting proactive: don’t use your phone in the morning. 2. organization: doing small tasks like making your bed. 3. nutrition and hydration: going to the bathroom, taking a shower, drinking water, having water by ur side of the bed, not eating sugary foods for breakfast, etc. 4.activity/motion: stretches, workout, walking, etc. 5. mindfulness: meditation or no distraction-walk. 6. reflection and intention: journaling, planning, etc.
ALRIGHT AFTER WATCHING YOUR NIGHT ROUTINE I HAVE CLICKED ON THIS MRNG ROUTINE AND I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS. I AM SURE I WILL CREATE A SUITABLE BUT HEALTHY MRNG AND NIGHT ROUTINE. THANKS MAN YOU HAVE HELP ME A LOT. AND YOU HAVE EARN A SUBSCRIBER TOO. THANKS A LOT MAN
This has helped me so much making my own morning routine! My previous routine was all bland and didn't help me get to build that momentum for the day. Since you've already made a morning routine, why not make a night routine? I'd imagine it'd be pretty helpful for those who struggle to separate themselves from work and really get the rest they deserve. Keep it up, Dr. Jubbal! Love your work.
Wow lol, literally almost exactly my morning routine. DayOne was a great tip though, it seems great. My morning reflection is usually just thinking about what I did well and poorly the day before and what I want to improve as well as what I want to get done today, but I think writing in a journal with more direction is definitely a better move.
I like that you get straight to the point and you don't explain everything for hours. With your comics it's even more relaxing. Nice greetings from Vienna!
I love how this guy doesn't mess around while being playful enough to keep you intrigued and actually want to listen rather than a "boring" creator listing tips in a way that you could say is too nice or equal to a school teachers manner.
Dr. Jubbal: here is the anatomy physiology pathophysiology and histopathology of a perfect morning routine at 3am Me: unmade bed, dirty clothes all over the floor, don't exercise or meditate, haven't drank pure water in 18 hours Also me: omg I just CAN'T figure out why is my life such a mess????
• wake up at 6 am • make the bed • to have a bath • skin care • brush my teeth • dress myself • brush the hair • apply perfume, moisturizer and deodorant. • have breakfast • go to school 🤍 I actually managed to stick to this routine, but I still use my cell phone as soon as I wake up (a habit that needs to end) and unfortunately I don't have time to meditate because I have to leave the house at 7 am 😢
"Drop the phone." My brain, trying to look for excuses: *Okay, but I think I'll finish this video first. Then maybe look through ASMR videos to make it seem like I'm trying to go to bed while I secretly scroll through UA-cam's homepage, refreshing it about twenty times, find a good video, and repeat.*
@@TheThr0s Lol that's what I'm trying for a couple of days, not working even walking to the other side of the room, I just go back to sleep and snooze it xD
i’m trying out some new things to get me out of bed. 1.Turn your phone brightness at 100% 2. Yell YES when you wake up 3. Think that you shit yourself. 4. stand up and just stare into the wall until you feel WOKE 5. Yell in a different language just because 6.Put an alarm sound that gives you anxiety and scares you awake so bad that you can’t sleep anymore because of how fast your heart is beating. i’ve tried 6... it works
So if you don’t want to watch the video. Wake up to your alarm but don’t look at notifications, make your bed or clean up, drink water/healthy shake don’t eat nothing or avoid it, do 10 to 15 exercise, mediate or go on a walk, set goals for the day don’t worry about what you didn’t accomplish be proud of what you did accomplish.
oh my goodness. i have to say, again, as someone with active severe chronic illness, there are a few days i might be able to get through this morning routine and a bit after, but still about 70-80% of the time if i did all of these things in the morning i would have no energy left to do much the rest of the day! i agree 100% about making your bed and i agree about walking and "mindfulness" (maybe not for that long, at least in the morning ...) but definitely walking (esp. over the thoracic thingy because my thoracic spine is largely ... compressed??? shattered??); this also helps me more over others because if i do not walk as soon as i can walk, i will not be able to move later on it the day. i always tell fellow severe chronic illness and pain patients that "to show appreciation that i still CAN walk, i walk!" but in all seriousness, i do hope one day to have this kind of energy. i haven't had it for about ... 8 years. no joke. i still wonder how you have or had active crohn's and managed to do all of this. i really pray every day of my life that i am heading toward remission so i at least know what it is like to have these kinds of behaviors (maybe not a "feeding time," that's a little on the strange side for me ...) and to get into and complete med school. my greatest attribute therein is that i have 100% faith in my mental abilities. i just need to get these diseases a little bit "better" controlled.... p.s. for all those who might be reading this and are like me or are not so action-oriented, i do highly suggest not only making your bed right away, but keeping things that make you feel very happy in your bedroom where you can see and use them. for instance, when i was well in university i started glassblowing classes; i keep all of my jewelry in a bowl i made glassblowing. i also keep my favourite bags in a cabinet with 3 glass sides so i can see the physical THINGS thet make me happy. i keep my bedding happy (including a pillow from Betsey Johnson, i believe, which says "GOOD DAYS ONLY!") I also put up posters or images of languages i want to learn, places i want to visit and of better times when i was able to do some pretty amazing things. I also love HALLOWEEN so I keep my candy corn lights and happy mummy curtain lights up all year; i also have a bright orange rug running down my bedroom closet hallway. i also keep my favorite perfumes within easy view. i know it might sound goofy, but just waking up to see cheerful things and aesthetically pleasing things and things that just make you feel some sense of happiness or joy is INCREDIBLY important for all of us!
This is my routine for your reference: Allow 10 minutes of buffer Wake up Brush teeth, wash face Breakfast Poop Shower Skincare routine, style hair Morning yoga 🧘♀️ Go to school It takes almost 1 hour
Glad I'm not the only person who wakes up like an hour or two early to get ready. I mean I always take a shower and then have some breakfast before watching a little tv, no meditation or anything but I like my routine and it works for me.
good video, only a reminder that these are all tasks that is aske upon the viewer rather than foundations on which the viewer can create its own morning routine so far
First time seeing ur video and I really like 👍🏻 it is so different than others morning routines that I’ve watched all these years.... not the typical routines land 90% of them will be talking about drinking green smoothie or eating oats with blueberries (absolutely nothing wrong or against this 😉) but we want something new or “refreshing “ which u have done it well 🏆 TQ for sharing this video and ur wisdoms 😊 And yes I subscribed right after watching this video!
As a journalist, I find reading the news the best start to my day because it prepares me to get creative and motivated to write. If I don't do it in the morning, I just don't feel the motivation to do it. I don't just subscribe to general news outlets - I also subscribe to music publications so only about 1/3 of the news I read is negative.
I'm gonna give your stretching routine a try. It seems like an easy way and fun to unwind your body. I really need the extra motivation to get out of bed early.
"I take no more than 60 seconds to make my bed and that alone makes my sex dungeon, I mean bedroom, a much more pleasant to be." (Jubbal, 2020) I love the humor tho LOL
Fan of morning routines and this is one of the best related videos I’ve seen, but would like to see that video on stretching routine and don’t thibk you’ve gotten around to it...

Hi! Thank you for videos!
Which program do you using for creating characters an editing your videos??
you are.
I use the brightness of my phone screen to burn my eyes into awakeness in the morning. Crucial part of my morning routine.
OMG! I do the same!!
Gotta love my 10-15 mins of book related fanfiction in the morning with the brightness scorching my eyes into awareness.

From personal experience I can recommend to think of what to eat and what to "get ready" in the evening, so that you could just do things in the morning without thinking. Otherwise that thinking part takes a lot of time as we all are full of brainfarts in the morning and tend to think/decide way longer than usually

I sleep at 5 lol, lockdown life
I sleep at 6 am

For real
I'm all in my bed watching videos till it's like 5 to 6 am and I'm tired.
I'm more interested in how he goes to bed early enough to wake at 3...
I wake up at 3:30 meaning I go to sleep around 7 up 7:30 pm to get between 7 or 8 hours of sleep which is ideal.
I'm interested on how he does it too. It's like I'm just starting my day at night.
Lmao yeah I go to bed at 3
Specially that he is a doctor
I go to bed at 9am wake up at 9:10am :)
The stretching your body in the morning thing is really amazing. I always do some yoga postures as soon as I wake up, sometimes while still on my bed. It makes a HUGE difference of how I feel during the day, making it more positive of course
"...sex dungeon... uh.. I mean, my bed" Best thing I've ever heard on this channel!
🙃
i can't tell if that's a compliment or a critique

@Alice karen
ahaha
I agree 110%. I used to hate mornings, now I hate not having my me time. Ive developed almost the same routine, except mine is two hours and I try to fit in yoga or walking the dog, interchangeably. I started to really value this alone, self nurturing time. It has made me a more calm person. Rushing out the door is starting the day off in chaos. If Im really short on time, then I choose between journaling, meditating and yoga, whichever I feel I could benefit the most. This routine works great for me when Im working, but not so great for me when Im in school, because Im a late night studier. So Im going to have to figure out what works while in medical school.
i love me time....beacuse i want to watch yt videos in it and just do whatever i want basically

There can't be a good morning routine without a good sleep routine. I can't make my morning routine without the proper sleep time and sleep quality.
Exactly. I have experienced this recently and I agree 100%
True
Im struggling right now
When you will start this routine and remain consistent , so you will feel tired at night and sleep soon automatically.

Keep it up. ☺️💕
Hmmm. Surely u can do more than just make the bed and shower
-phone away
-make bed
-hydrate
-Move
-Mindfulness
-Reflection/intention
Morning routine
-let out the early morning farts
thanks!

He missed an important step.
You have to shout, “YES”
As your taking a dump.
Thanks for watching and so so thrilled to hear it’s helping you 🤗
Thank you so much for letting him know that! It's things like these that inspire people like him to have the drive to keep up this UA-cam channel and the blog.
@@chrissiec2123 Thank you for saying that
My morning routine is clearly superior:
1.) Hitting the snooze button ~ 5 times until I realize that I'm gonna be late
2.) Sitting on the edge of my bed trying not to cry
3.) Cry
4.) Drinking enough coffee to fuck up my stomach and leave the toilet in an outrageous state
5.) Leaving in a hurry thinking about how I could still lay in bed rn
6.) Repeat everyday

This is real life. And probably the reason why he is a doctor and why I get told what to do for a living.
Do you have clinical depression or something? If ydk, please get it checked, (:
"Leave the toilet at an Outrageous state" I fucking lost it
Once I truly began my career after college and moved out to live alone, I found out how necessary a morning routine was.
You should drink a glass of water before you go to sleep. That helps me feel less dehydrated after I wake up.
Step 1 - get a diary
Step 2 - write down your goals and where you want to be in the next 5 years.
Step 3 - get a plan
Steo 4 - get up of your ass.

Reading is part of my morning routine, I am in love with that, I also stretch and it gives me a lot of energy and I can produce a good mood.
I have my morning routine too, since a while now, and what I could add to this great video, for people who want to start:
- It's normal to feel "lost" at the beginning.
- Your routine actually begins the evening before going to bed, you'll see ;)
- My routine is totally different from yours @kevin, and so is everybody's.
This might save you lots of sleeping issues and GREATLY improve:
-Productivity
-Motivation / additional courage
-More joy, less sorrow
-More addaptation
EDIT: Oh and whenever you have to do something that makes you feel scared or not courageble enough (like job interview, presentation before class etc) think of what the worst thing could happen after that.
EDIT 2: I take back what I said. After comming back to this comment that I made years ago, I find it kind of cringe. The first 2 repplies under my initial comment support my current statement. I don't know, just come up with your own solution and hope you will solve your problems evntually
Hhha, worst thing that could happen.... My Asian parents killing me for not getting into Med, I guess nothing scary.
Blensidi Today I went to work and came home to watch Netflix for the rest of the day, tomorrow I will do the same, doesn’t help me think positively at all 😕
@@loganskinner1589 Each day is a new opportunity
I usually talk to God about my day
If I do that, I will spend 2 hours doing this and not fall asleep, not get enough sleep as a consequence and hence feel tired the next day.
💫x 👩🦰
And always remember: you don't need to be a superman of productivity to be happy. Just enjoy the good things and don't stress yourself for not being like this.

Alternate title: How to completely change your personality to extreme type-A
add:
-wake up 4am or 5 am, but please no more than 6am if possible.
I take from video:
-mindfulness practice (I still have no 100% accurate understanding on what that really means)
-3 daily yes or yes objectives
Thank you man, great video.

Wow lol, literally almost exactly my morning routine. DayOne was a great tip though, it seems great. My morning reflection is usually just thinking about what I did well and poorly the day before and what I want to improve as well as what I want to get done today, but I think writing in a journal with more direction is definitely a better move.

Or do anything lese that works for you.
make the video about nutrition optimization!!! just subscribed today, can’t stop watching, thank u for the hope i can do it through med school ❤️
Aspiring medical school student here, I learned most of this from being in the military/doing early morning lifting in high school. The stuff works!
oh my goodness. i have to say, again, as someone with active severe chronic illness, there are a few days i might be able to get through this morning routine and a bit after, but still about 70-80% of the time if i did all of these things in the morning i would have no energy left to do much the rest of the day! i agree 100% about making your bed and i agree about walking and "mindfulness" (maybe not for that long, at least in the morning ...) but definitely walking (esp. over the thoracic thingy because my thoracic spine is largely ... compressed??? shattered??); this also helps me more over others because if i do not walk as soon as i can walk, i will not be able to move later on it the day. i always tell fellow severe chronic illness and pain patients that "to show appreciation that i still CAN walk, i walk!" but in all seriousness, i do hope one day to have this kind of energy. i haven't had it for about ... 8 years. no joke. i still wonder how you have or had active crohn's and managed to do all of this. i really pray every day of my life that i am heading toward remission so i at least know what it is like to have these kinds of behaviors (maybe not a "feeding time," that's a little on the strange side for me ...) and to get into and complete med school. my greatest attribute therein is that i have 100% faith in my mental abilities. i just need to get these diseases a little bit "better" controlled....
p.s. for all those who might be reading this and are like me or are not so action-oriented, i do highly suggest not only making your bed right away, but keeping things that make you feel very happy in your bedroom where you can see and use them. for instance, when i was well in university i started glassblowing classes; i keep all of my jewelry in a bowl i made glassblowing. i also keep my favourite bags in a cabinet with 3 glass sides so i can see the physical THINGS thet make me happy. i keep my bedding happy (including a pillow from Betsey Johnson, i believe, which says "GOOD DAYS ONLY!") I also put up posters or images of languages i want to learn, places i want to visit and of better times when i was able to do some pretty amazing things.

Love the video.
Question 1: what if your partner gets up later than you ?
Question 2: what if you have to be up at different times from day to day ?
1. Don’t use wake up lights
2. I still recommend trying to be as regular as possible
Ten minutes earlier is early
5 minutes earlier is being on time and being on time means you're late.

So here I am starting my day with this video.
This will be a big help for school tomorrow though 😂🤷🏻♂️
As a journalist, I find reading the news the best start to my day because it prepares me to get creative and motivated to write. If I don't do it in the morning, I just don't feel the motivation to do it. I don't just subscribe to general news outlets - I also subscribe to music publications so only about 1/3 of the news I read is negative.
I'm gonna give your stretching routine a try. It seems like an easy way and fun to unwind your body. I really need the extra motivation to get out of bed early.

I love the humor tho LOL
What humor? This is serious business

You don't waste your sleeping time if you go to sleep early.
It's just an habit, and it's immediately grateful.
Fan of morning routines and this is one of the best related videos I’ve seen, but would like to see that video on stretching routine and don’t thibk you’ve gotten around to it...
Great tips man! After all that, what has help me “a lot” is deep breathing and cold shower. Look for the Wim Hof method; life changing.
