CC’s for CC’s Echo will kill a Stihl in any saw not just the 151’s. Same goes for trimmers. Stihl fan boys always want to put a 10 plus bigger cc saw or trimmer against echo’s. The only thing good about a Stihl is they have a bigger following and easier to sell. But they are way better ODPE out there than Stihl.

Nice job Rich. That 2511 was noticeably faster and stronger. They are nice little units.

The 151 is worth every penny of the 650 . Make that back in a day or less. The stihl fit and finish is way better than the echo the echo feels like cheap junk. Nice work on both saws .

Im not a big guy and i find the echo handles and grips are small fitting and no where near as comfortable as the stihl. I use stihl everyday and appreciate its smooth curves after a 5 hour job. It does not have the power for anything larger than say 5 inch. It can cut larger but it is slow. For larger stuff we use the stihl 201 now that is a hot rod.

Little echo is 25cc. A 25cc stihl product probably want even cut your finger. Only good thing about a Stihl is the followers so it makes them easier to sell. Way better equipment out there if people would just look.

It sounds like the CS2511, on average, is revving at a higher RPM. I just had to check the manuals and we're looking at 10,000 RPM for the Stihl and 12,200 to 13,400 for the Echo. For the same chain type and whatever downward force you apply, the Echo is going to make more chips based solely on this ... yes?

  • @Sethhaun78

The echo 2511t has the best EVER HANDLE DESIGN. All saws should have that I cannot understand why echo doesn't make a 3711t?????they would own the market

  • @Sethhaun78

Way over priced can get 201t with discount at 850. That's insaine for little stihl saw I told the dealers same thing 😂 LOL 😂

The carb on the 150/151 really like a lil Venturi work. It’s extremely choked down because of the divider.

BIG PROBLEM I bought one with the 12 inch bar and 1/4 chain PM3. I used it as a pruning saw for olive trees. I managed to hurt myself but I am well now. One contributing factor was that the chain GRIPS the bar as it gets used ie warm, January weather in the south Meditteranean zone. Normally the chain gets looser during use, so the chain must not be loose to begin with. On this saw and bar the opposite happens. The bar must be expanding more than the chain as they get used and warm, resulting in the chain becoming tight on the bar. This SLOWS the chain down and thus the cutting is reduced ie the risk of a kick back is increased. Thus tensionign the chain correctly is a real problem I found. I wonder if other users may have noticed this phenomenon? Am I alone in this?

The 2511 sounds way more rowdy - nice work 👍👍

  • @robertdouglas3456

That Echo does the Rock & roll!🤩🤩

  • @aaronpowell4885

Great job on both👍🏻 tho I'd gladly take either one for the right price, if I were buying new and both were the same $$$, I'd still get the 2511!

I bought one of these little beauties in mid summer and love the size and weight. It is terribly overpriced for a "pro" saw and by "pro" I mean the build and ruggedness. This saw has the recoil cover secured only by 3 plastic grabbing screws, not two threaded into metal and two into plastic like the MS201T. Stihl's literature has several errors that ticked me off, the lack of oiler adjustment being one claim that they did not deliver on. They also claimed it was easy start and it is not at all. It does have a spring in series with your pull but it does not store energy then release like other Stihl saws. The spring really amounts to the same effect as the shock absorbing pull handle. So a few strikes against Stihl's erroneous claims for it. I have been running it without mods and so far have been happy for the light cutting I'm doing.

Take echo anyday ...my go to lightweight tool..I'm not in a race it cuts great .I do run stihl polesaw barchain setup on them.i get 2511t for 400 with quarter pitch sprocket and sthil bar and chain 14 it's still better deal .about 500..they want 650.00 for those stihl saws .never ran one but have 4 or 5 years on the echo..never had a signal issue or need to take it to shop.i did drill out the muffler and remove limiters then tuned it with tuner .tac...saw came alive after that got in November as birthday gift that saw and serious hard work built my business. Clear lake side properties and serious work with that little saw.if I can avoid lifting bigger saw I'm going to the echo few seconds don't mean anything. Not in a hurry .be more work therr after .older I get less hurry I'm in ..nice video..

  • @Mike_Mike_0

    Rich nice comparison ❤❤😂😂

  • @tedneitzel

Think the Echo is stronger but both work good!

  • @batmantiss

I think you can pick one of those 151's up for a lot less than that

  • @Sethhaun78

I did find baby echo and the 355t are difficult to tune sometimes. But I think 355t has airleak ..
