Sam, I love my Connect 12. I needed mobility with my business needs and this was the perfect solution. The great thing about the Prodigy is whenever they improve the software you receive the updates free without having to purchase and new product. Each new update is fabulous.

I have the prodigi connect 12 with me. The school gave it to me so I can be able to learn even better since I have a severe visual imperement. I'm so happy that he is talking about it and it is a really cool. My prodigi connect 12 is like my best friend. I use it everyday when I'm doing school work or anything els interesting.
Yay!! My local education authority has just given me funding for this device. So glad you featured it. My pupil is moving from primary school onto secondary and will need something light weight for travelling from class to class. I can't wait to start using it with her.....its going to take the place of the bulky equipment she currently uses in school ( without which we would have never been able to access the curriculum so easily)

The Blind Life I certainly will. I've been reading up on lots of OCR apps for iPad but this device, has this function yay. Also..i have an electronic copy of a "wheel of apps" to use with visually impaired learners. I got it from the University of Edinburgh. I'll pass the link to your channel tomorrow. It may help some of your followers..
This is another device I would absolutely love to have until my sight is gone. It would be so incredibly useful! We were joking with the rep at convention last year that I was going to connect it to my steering wheel and drive with it, LOL!
Hello there Sam that looks like a very amazing product . I really like how that tablet just automatically comes accessible right out of the box not like your traditional Android tablet where you actually have to set it up . That device is also very portable no larger than your average laptop.
I was at the Chicago Lighthouse yesterday afternoon. This item was mentioned a couple of times by Luke down there. He didn't get into the details like you did, but he did mention it.

Alicia Franco absolutely not being legally blind is not so scary as one would think I've been legally blind most of my life low vision completely blind in one eye with the possibility of losing the rest of my vision and not even that scares me you just have to adapt and learn to do things differently life goes on after sight loss . Over the period of my lifetime I have received services from the blind and have developed the necessary adaptive skills needed to live life independently including orientation and Mobility which basically focused around using my remaining Vision to navigate safely I've not had any white cane training but I do use a white cane for identification purposes. This is a specific form factor of the white cane known as an ID cane.

Try Sight Does not offer a monthly payment on IPad Pro conversion. They said the company with which they eere working, refused all cards and processed not one. Thank you, Jim

Anyone know the exact name of the charging port type? Just asking so I may buy a charger cable with USB-A so I can choose which charger brick to power up the Connect 12. Wish the device could charge from the USB-C port.

How would this work if you had to fill out a document is there enough room underneath for a pen or pencil? This looks very practical and would fit in my laptop bag nicely that I carry to work
Yes, there's plenty of room and it's adjustable so you shouldn't have any problems filling out forms.

Hey Sam , I got my connect 12 last Thursday and I did not get the distance camera but I did get a wireless keyboard with my shipment..I found however that the USB port Android socket 2 did not work and only use the AC adapted so it may have to go back coz I will be on a long haul flight in Jan 15 hours I woun't be able to use it for long :-( otherwise it is a good thing following on from my Prodigi 1 which is years old now and it made it to e-waste as not worth reparing..I love the portability aspect of it and it gives me great flexibility from desk to kitchen..WiFi & Bluetooth enabled...just trying to figure out the slot on the bottom left and also the other slots and socket on the right side apart from charge & usb...any clues?
No, I’m afraid I don’t know. It’s been so long since I had that machine that I don’t remember what all the ports were. Perhaps somebody’s done a video that will point out and label the parts.
I just need the stand. I have a bunch of tablets. I bet as long as the tablet camera lines up with the stand it would work the same and save me hundreds of dollars from buying a proprietary tablet. Is it possible to just buy the stand?
No, It's not possible. Also, the camera on that tablet is right on the center of the back and I've never seen a camera in that position on any other tablet. Chances are your tablet wouldn't line up correctly.

At the rediculous price of almost six thousand bucks, I bought the Snow 12 instead. In my opinion dding a lot of useless bells and whistles in order to jack up the selling price is not always a good thing.
It's not very good for table top mode when it comes to writing drawing and doing worksheets. i vastly prefer the visiobook.

Hi can the device have a high contrast mode on the live mode?
The magnifier has a high contrast mode but the video camera does not.

Yes, you can. I think it had a slot for memory cards as well. Also Mini or Micro HDMI
