I gotta say that this looks real cool it's pretty much a portable CCTV that you can even use as a laptop kind of deal in a way along with a screen reader too it seems like it's an amazing piece of technology.
Just want to thank you so much for this fantastic review... my son who is 10 has just been granted this from the Dept Of Education in Ireland and we are absolutely thriled and even more so we now know what exactly it does and how it's going to benefit him through his education and life!!!! Thank you so much for this fantastic review!
This is really really cool. I love that the Surface is the main component. Really nice that it allows some customization with the tablet. While I prefer portable magnifiers this is very tempting to consider.
Very cool device Sam. Like you, the 12 inch screen would not work for me. I will stick with my IPEVO VZ-X you reviewed a few weeks ago, that thing is awesome man! I do really like that keyboard.
Thank you for the review of this tablet. It’s helpful to know that I don’t have to buy the tablet and just get the software and stand. Thank you so much for the helpful review!
Question?: Why, when you take the OCR picture, does the picture come up OFF THE SCREEN. it seems like it would be confusing and hard to find for a VI older Adult who has tech difficulties.
Love your reviews but I find one thing missing. When testing a product with OCR, I can'[t hear the quality of the voice (very important) and whether the speed can be adjusted, also important.. About the Mercury 12: the sharpness of the text doesn't appear to match that of the Human Ware Prodigi products.
The contact information should be in the description of the video. I’m afraid I cannot contact them on your behalf. I would recommend sending them an email.
Can you use a hub to plug both light and distance camera in at the same time? Can you use the surface or tablet as one of the split screens? So we can use an existing tablet, why can't we use a monitor or something like a chromcast?
The light has it's own battery that can work for 12 hours without being connected to the tablet. So you can use the distance camera with the light for quite some time. You can also connect to an external monitor using the DisplayPort connector on the Surface tablet. There's no need for a USB hub as the DisplayPort connector is separate from the USB connector on the tablet.
Design wise it’s very similar. The patriot pro does not have a distance viewing camera. Then there’s the different operating systems, one is windows and the other is iOS.
Ey there I just wanted to let you know that we are a bunch of German teachers for the visually impaired and we love your channel, you're international

It’s truly my pleasure and I wish you and your son the best of luck!

This is cool. I can do a lot of that with my ipad, but it's still cool. I wish I'd had something like that as a kid in school.
Is this better than the prodigi connect 12 new generation?

If you plugged in a USB hub, couldn't you operate the distance camera and the light at the same time?

Design wise it’s very similar. The patriot pro does not have a distance viewing camera. Then there’s the different operating systems, one is windows and the other is iOS.

Hey Sam, I enjoy your shows and demos. Would like to see a demo of the WeWALK Smart cane. They have a website at wewalk.io
Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll see what I can do!
