    New subscriber here! Hi from Scotland!! Love your channel, and LOVE this soup. My family insisted I had added double cream or full fat milk it was that good and creamy. I told them what was in it, and they were amazed. Everyone wanted the recipe. Tfs!

    Hi Tess, which KitchenAid blender do you use in your videos? Just started watching them and definitely going to try some. Cheers.

      In this video, I am using the KitchenAid Pro Line Series blender. In some other videos, I am using the KitchenAid K400 blender.

    I'm a little confused. Did you blend the entire pot or did you blend part of it and add it back to the pot so it was chunky? You mentioned blending it in two batches until smooth, but I only saw you blend one batch.

    • @theblendergirl
      @theblendergirl  3 роки тому

      Sorry for the confusion. You blend all of the soup so that it is silky smooth. The only reason I blended it in two batches is that the entire pot of soup will not fit in any blender in one batch. You blend half of the soup, then blend the other half of the soup, and then stir together and season to taste.

    Do cashews work a well as the blanched almonds? This looks delicious!

    • @theblendergirl

      Yes. Raw, unsalted cashews work great in this recipe.

    Can we add cilantro or Italian seasoning instead of chives? Also is there a substitute for nuts because nuts contain a lot of potassium

    • @theblendergirl
      @theblendergirl  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, you could garnish with parsley, cilantro, or nutmeg is great. The soup is much creamier if you blend in the nuts. But, if you don't want to, you could just leave them out, and the soup is still delicious.

    Omg the amount of people that said wash it 🤦‍♀️🤣 Yikes. Anyway, my issue is the measurement. I read the recipe and l was so excited bc you sound Australian but disappointed to find weird measurements. I'm absolutely doing this recipe bc it sounds freaking awesome but when you say a cup do you mean 200ml or 250ml?

    I would rather use my stick blender ,easy to gauge chunky or smooth.

    • @theblendergirl
      @theblendergirl  2 роки тому

      You can totally use an immersion blender. I use a regular blender with soups that contain nuts as I find it delivers a more consistent creaminess.

    • @susanmcbeth4220
      @susanmcbeth4220 2 роки тому

      I don't think it will be as smooth with an immersion blender.
