- It was great to have The Doctor's Theme play in the episode, not once but thrice. Here is the second most prominent version from the episode. Enjoy.
I do love how you can really tell Fourteen's different personality traits from Ten, like how he is more human and open about his feelings for other people ("I love her" or "I loved that man", which are comments that Ten would never have made), more childish when he reacted to the new TARDIS interior, literally running and jumping around with joy as well as happiness like any kid would at something so incredible, and more wise which he gained from all the adventures or experiences he had as Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen so yeah, I really love that, great musical track!
This face couldn't say it to Rose and he's compensating now!
You can also tell he's had a hell of a lot more time to heal from the trauma that was the Time War. He's more in tune with his feelings, more open about who he is (like you said, saying "I love her," "She was my best friend," "I loved that man," and my personal favorite "I really do remember, though. Every second with you. I'm so glad you're back, 'cause it killed me, Donna. It killed me, it killed me, it killed me."). 10 and 14 may have similar mannerisms because they're played by the same man, but they are in no way the same incarnation of the Doctor.
He's also basically had half his life time as 11 and 12 at this point
@@Clone3A7i think he just healed more and thats why he is now more open with his feelings :)❤
I feel like he's more open and passionate because of how short his life as 10 was. I reckon it made him not want to waste a single second anymore.
I love how in the original theme, it was more mysterious, while here this theme feels like come back from an old friend.
The original theme is one of my favourite themes for a character.
I love the vocalisation...makes him seem so powerful....yet so tired at the same time...this is a man who has been up and down the timeline...seen the beginning and the end.....fought gods and demons and won....killed entire planets and armies and empires beyond our imagination....and yet....after all that....he has to be tired....so...so....very tired
So nice to have this theme back, do I hear a slight hint of "A Good Man?" in there too?
0:22 this part is definitely a reprise of a part from the shepard's boy
and vale decum
@@Zip_Zap2474it's not. At 0:22 it's The Doctor's theme
at which point?@@THOMAS_VANN
@@THOMAS_VANN vale decem incorporated elements of the doctor's theme so you may be thinking of that
It sounds primarily like a combination of the doctor's theme + a good man

@@Zip_Zap2474No it's not. It's the Doctor's theme
Damn this great, Murray's music is what makes Doctor Who for me.... I love that its seems to be a cross between Murrays music work on David's, Matt's, and a little bit of Peter's era too.
This one's my favourite variant of The Doctor's Theme (in The Star Beast). So heartwarming to hear one of Murray Gold's compositions to reappear after being entirely absent in the Thirteenth Doctor era (bar Twice Upon a Time).
I actually love how techy 14 is and his theme goes with it as 10 was a very hands on doctor and relied more on speech than the sonic ect.
It sounds so good. I can't even describe how I liked this soundtrack when I heard it during watching The Star Beast for first time.
I hope you'll release more soundtracks from The Star Beast.
i like to think that the fourteenth doctor is almost an amalgamation of the incarnations we've had since 2005, still having that everpresent dark streak and realism affiliated with the ninth, not just the face but the mannerisms and human side of the tenth, the boyish attitude and wit of the eleventh, the wisdom of the twelth and the greater understanding of feelings of the thirteenth, it really shows the evolution of the character over this 18 year time period and id really like to see them give him a character arc which shows how he's mellowed out and humbled himself since the end of time, since he ended that story with a breakdown about how unfair his inevitability to change was after spending so long rejecting his incoming death
It has been so long since i heard this masterpiece.
I saw it last like a year ago
I was behind on watching it 😐
And I'm finally gonna be able to watch it this time with no spoilers so yay
All main revival Doctors have had this theme used on them now.
Truely "The Doctor's Theme"
When do Matt and Peter get it?
@@f1since08 Plays during "A Good Man goes to War" when discussing Melody being a weapon because of The Doctor.
For 12, The Class Pilot and Hell Bent come to mind
Yes I noticed them every time because it truly is the epitome of the doctor’s theme!
@@f1since08In Hell Bent when the lady sees the Doctor in the barn for the first time, a variant of the theme plays
@@danielpurdy9328for 12 it also plays in Husbands of River Song when she shows the collection of previous regenerations to Nardole
Its just so awesome having Murray Gold back! Not that the other guy was bad but Murray is something just really special!
I liked Seguns music it was just like someone decided to turn the volume way down, when it was louder like in the resolution dalek episode the dalek theme was so good, the Nikola Tesla episode where they fought off the spaceship was good too.
The other guy's music was great, but sometimes it felt out of place, with Murray It just feels like Doctor Who. Just watched the christmas special and the 15th Doctor's theme is amazing!
This is amazing! I loved murray gold's new music in this episode! It was great to hear some returning favourites with new themes and slightly changed themes! Can't wait to hear the rest of his new music! Thanks for this! 😊😊
I really appreciate that this isn't just a rehash of what we've had before, it's familiar but altogether refreshing and different. Mate do you reckon you could do the bit when the Doctor steps into his new Tardis for the first time?
This feels....older. And I love it.
Yesssss! I love the new variant so much!!! Made me tear up a little! I cant wait for someone to do the music that plays when we see the new TARDIS that track was amazing!
This song brings so much nostalgia, but also feels older. It’s amazing!
My favourite "past" musical cue was I Am The Doctor when Donna and the Doctor was saving the day in the Meeps ship. Absolutely epic.
I heard that too!
I think it’s safe to say Murray will be redoing all the classics for this anniversary
It's like the Doctor's Theme mixed with Shephard's Boy, to show it's the same doctor but time has passed.
Incredible. You do you think we can get the Doctor Forever variant as well as the 11th Doctor theme variant, or as I like to call it "I Am the DoctorDonna".
I second this!
When did Doctor Forever play? I don't recall hearing it.
@@Jackardy When the Doctor jumped in the back of the UNIT van leaving the steelworks just after the 17 minute mark
@@Jackardy Yeah what the previous guy said. It's a very small bit but it's when the Doctor jumps onto the back of the UNIT truck.
@@Jackardy Pretty crazy that you're back. I missed your Smith to Capaldi regeneration video a lot. Glad it's back up again
one of the best theme of doctor who over the 60 years
I wish there's an extended version of this theme. I would listen to it for hours as my work background music.
Got slight chills when i heard that
Jackardy you’re a legend
There is one song I’ve been looking for
From tens era the first episode when he wakes up in the TARDIS on the Sicorax ship opens the door and “says did ya miss me”
If there’s any chance you could get it put out that would be FANTASTIC
NOICE! NOICE! NOICE! I want more!
Welcome to the Animus.
Without an official 14th Doctor theme, I'm calling this one it.
THE SONIC CAN MAKE SHIELDS NOW! Advancement in Gallifreyan technology for you!
It has made shields before now
I wonder who's the vocalist, was it Melanie Pappenheim once more?
This is the one thing that annoyed me about Jodie’s run, you never heard her theme till right at the end and it was such a good theme ! With other doctors you at least heard snippets of it throughout the episodes.
@@_MyNameIsAJ_they said they had the new composer specifically do ambient background sounds instead of a full blown orchestra
@@_MyNameIsAJ_ yeah she did the full version is on YT and you heard most of it right at the end when she regenerates but other than that very minor snippets once or twice in 3 series !
@@Look_Over_There It's played in full at least 4 times in every episode.
Oh my god, are you Jack Willett?
If they never release this in full version i'm going to be really pissed. It's amazing how music that's 40 seconds long shows deep sorrow, loneliness, perserverance, wisdom and empathy. It's truly amazing. I never liked 10th theme mostly It sounded like a god's anthem that didnt fit someone to just happened to be a powerful being and completely modest about that. This on the other hand, is pure gold
How did you do this? Did you use 5.1 versions of the episode?
Could you try and do the recap music at the start of the episode?
His may have ended, but with modern technology, we are able to replay it.
What about the bit at the beginning of the episode when you see the tardis materialise?
That’s a hint of Doomsday
When was this? I don’t even recall it
10s original theme felt more mysterious and mystical wheras this theme feels like a very worn and very very tired version of that same track i love how they convey the meaning of this regeneration's purpose just in the music
This theme makes him seem more experienced
Can you get his regeneration theme?
Kinda like a crossover with the "Stranger Things" theme..
Am I able to use this in a video, with credit ofc
You would have to ask the bbc
How do you remove the vocals and what program do you use to do so?
It's in the 5.1 surround track of the episode
@@YoungButRetro yeah but what program do he use to remove the vocals and what not
