So the 1/3d of azaleas that do reflowe in the fall, will not do so in bonsai culture because we prune after flowering. They leave the growth and so the buds that didnt pop in June will pop in august in unpruned bushes .
I've ordered from them multiple times mail order to the Seattle area and have always been satisfied with thier incredible Satsuki azaleas. What I like the very most though, is the great advice that I get from them. (btw: I've got a Issho no Haru from them, so I can just look in my back yard to see it! )
Amazing inventory! 😳👏✨✨ I need to order from him! Maybe 20-30 satsuki for around the yard. 👏✨✨ But, rats and rabbits keep eating my current azaleas and also cuttings! 😔 (and also J maples) I have/had: 9 kurume hino-crimson - 6 died last year from rot/fungus or too much sun I think, and 1 got eaten down to a stump by rabbit a month ago... only 2 left now. Trying to recover the stump. Tama no hada - still alive. Kinpai - all side branches/canopy eaten by rats a month ago, trying to recover it. Shukufuku - starting to drop all its’ leaves and brown after I pruned it, trying to recover it. 60-80 successfully rooted cuttings of the above... all decimated by rats. 7 months of work down the drain.
Nuccio's is not a bonsai nursery but a retail nursery so most of their stock is really for garden usage which sounds what you may be looking for. If you do not need to see the flowers Summer's actually a great time to stop by as you get pretty much an one on one experience with either John or Tom
Currently its pretty dead as their blooming season is over. But, its a great time to talk to both Nuccio Brothers as they can talk without interruptions
@@BaikoenBonsai I know. But what is better than watching 4k footage of satsuki for 20+ minutes narrated by a passionate grower? I feel you though. It is hard to not listen to Tom and instead step towards the plants to record closeups. Can't imagine something better than watching someone with a 4K camera plus a gyroscope recording closeups of multiple satsuki cultivars.
Real information properly delivered.
I'm glad you enjoyed the content!
nuccio's nursery

In about couple of months its going to be time to go back and visit.

How can I buy those plants from your nursery.
Not my nursery but you can call Nuccio’s directly.
I doubt if he ships to the UK, but I'd buy if he did.
give them a call you never know...yes a phone call...they pretty still run the place the old school ways
Best part is the PRICE for a Satsuki Azalea is $8.00 each. First quality plants.
They arent bonsai material. But let them grow for several season and you got some contender
Does he ship these out I would love to order some I live in New Orleans.
They do ship!
I have 4 beautiful Satsuki azaleas they shipped to me in Northern California. Their packing job is beyond first class and shipping is fast.
Does he ship?
yes
Would have been even better with some closeups and showing Issho no Haru and Juko.
Just too much to see and catalog! They have some images on their website.
