    I appreciate this channel, with all the foulness, ugly news , violent and terrible behavior on the internet, this channel is an oasis of peace, intelligence and caring. Thank you.

    Great video. After almost hundreds of blooms on my two satsukis it takes me about two plus hours to deadhead. A lot of work but well worth the efffort. Your videos are super.

    Just to let you know - I used this video as the basis for my late summer pruning on longer (young) branches. I cut them back to within an inch or two and very single one sent out loads of new buds lower down so i now have a wonderful choice to keep improving the ramification. Thanks Peter - I did my own video recently telling everyone how well this works. Not that I would ever doubt you :)

    Love this video, my baby Satzuki azaleas so sick, all leaf became crispy, I don’t know what to do. 😭I cut off the leaf but I am so worry that it won’t grow again, after I saw your video, I am so relief now. I hope they will grow back again. Thank you so much Peter.

    I really love all your videos. I am quite young for a bonsai enthusiast but you made me start my own bonsai collection. But i am not really able to invest alot of money in to my trees. Is there a possibility that you can make a video how to repot a bonsai for free or for cheap. I am not really able to get all those different komposts and hummuses and gravels. But always thhank you for your informative and wholesome videos.

      Early Feb/ or very early Spring. That way it gives the Satsuki a long growing season to make new shoots and branches.

    I always come back to Peter when I need to remember what I should be doing with Azalea...and most other trees too. Thank you very much. Not sure you will reply but I am getting a lot of leaves showing mottled red and black and yellow and then dropping off. Is this a mineral deficiency or just natural leaf shedding? Thanks again.

    If a cultivar is likely to set seed, there is a point to removing every individual flowers. Pulling at the dried up flowers only removes the petals. If the fruit is not fertilized, it will shrivel up, dry out and eventually fall off. You can remove the stem with the fruit on it either using your nails, or by pulling and twisting on it so it snaps off. Of course, it takes a lot of time. And if a cultivar is not going to set seeds, it is indeed a waste of time.

    My juniper bonsai is sick. The tips are yellowing and from their the whole foliage turns yello and fall off. They don’t turn brown but yellow. I’ve give it 20-20-20, no help, given it 0-45-0 last week and no change, any tips anyone can give me?

    • @blakelanders6966
      @blakelanders6966 2 роки тому +1

      Yellowing could be chlorosis. If it is it needs more iron.

    • @Chris-oq6kn
      @Chris-oq6kn 2 роки тому +1

      Is it hot where u are right now? If so did u water the foliage? I did and it burnt my juniper. It was a shohin size in a 6 inch pot and burned it. Next it started dying back like urs. Im trying to bring it back by putting it in a bigger pot with sphagnum moss around the roots and bonsai soil. If it dont work out well its gonna be my first tanuki! All deadwood
