Jade Hunting, How to "Identify" and "Test" Jade!

Jade hunting on the Mighty Fraser river in British Columbia, Canada. In this video I spend an afternoon looking for jade on one of my Fraser River Jade claims. I find many pieces that could be Jade (Nephrite) or could be serpentine. I then take them home and run them through 3 tests to determine if it is in face BC Jade or just gem serpentine.
Nephrite is the mineral name for what we all know as Jade.
