Awesome 👌. Bit on engine management was helpful

Glad you found it helpful! Taking the mystery out of running the engines was the prime inspiration behind this series.

Yes! Most useful part for me. Just keeping the engine running

I wish they would add the version of the spit that had 4 20mm hispanos and no .303s

Curious if you have any thoughts about VR? I just wandered across this channel today as i am planning to get back into DCS after a rather lengthy break. (Been flying IL2.)

I have flown in VR at a friends house and I liked it. I didn't have a strong enough PC to run it before I built my current one, which should handle VR just fine. It is something I may get into at some point, but I am sitting back and seeing what is coming for new VR sets. It's nice to have the 1:1 head tracking that you get with VR, but comes with that drawback of not seeing any of your side panels or controls if you use stuff like that.

I dont have the option to change revolutions of the arming vanes? I can see the number but can't change it

Some you can, and some you can't. I haven't played with them all yet to know what combos work well, especially for low level bombing.

The bit about engine management was interesting. In my experience, I found that I could hold max power for pretty much until i run out of fuel, as long as i keep my airspeed above 200 (and the ambient temperature isn't too hot). The last bit about speed is really important here: you can't stall-fight with it, as soon as the airspeed drops the radiator doesn't get enough air and the engine goes smokey smokey

How do you keep your spit steady not one single movement.

Like in the video where it is seems like it's flying perfectly through the air? If so, then that is called Active Pause. Unlike normal pause which freezes time, active pause stops your plane in the air at the time it is turned on. The systems and engine will continue to operate, and the world around you will also operate normally and move around. Useful for when you want to focus on learning a particular system on and aircraft without having to fly it at the same time. Works great for the videos too! The default keyboard command for it is Left CTRL + Windows key + Pause.

Test putting a Fire Weapons button on your throttle, the Spitfire in sims can be so sensitive, even pulling the trigger can cause sway

She is touchy, no doubt about it! Someone over on the Eagle Dynamics forum did the math for the pivot distance of a real Spitfire stick compared to a stock Thrustmaster Warthog joystick. An inch of movement of the Spitfire stick translated to 4mm of movement on the Warthog. Axis curves or an extended stick really help with fine controllability.

Thank you! Couple I can think of off the top of my head are 4YA and Wolfpack. Both of those are WWII focused. Growling Sidewinder used to have a WWII server but haven't seen that one in a few months.
