It is VERY nice listening to someone who actually has a clue as to what they are doing and how to properly explain it. Thanks for doing these videos. Seriously... Thanks...
Glad we were able to help Barrett
The best video with lots of tips. Saved my washer from being thrown away. Just for kicks I looked at a new washer. I saved over $900 doing this myself. Thanks for your information

Great video. I used it to replace my bearings and seal in my Whirlpool Duet. I followed it step by step both disassembling and reassembling and it went flawlessly.

Very nice in detail and useful video; (the nut driver graphic rotates counter clock wise = loosen during assembly when it should rotate clockwise = tightening bolts), Thank you.

@@Appliancevideo 46:03 What was that sound in the background?
Excellent, excellent video. This will save me lots of time and money.
Thank you for taking the time to do this!! Really appreciated! Can I ask you, I replaced the inner and outer tub as well as the drum this passed weekend. It came with grease and REALLY crappy B&W graphic as to how to lube the rear seal and bearing. I packed it into the bearing as best as I could and put very little on the seal inner portion itself. Now I can't sleep wondering if I have to take this all apart again to lube the race more? I put very little on the race inside. More around the edges forcing it into the rolling part of the bearing itself. This is the BEST video out there on how to do this repair by the way. Very clear instructions and very clear video. Again, this DYI'er very much appreciates you guys!

Very good video, thanks. But I'm amazed at how much more complex and full of parts that can break in these front loading washing machines. I have a 15 years old top loading machine with a direct drive transmission, and I've had my very first breakdown lately, which is incredibly easy and inexpensive to fix (replacing the agitator dogs). Even if I eventually need to replace the motor coupling, and/or the spin clutch, it will be cheap and easy to do. Your video has convinced me even more about never buying a front loading machine. Thanks for that too !

Hi thanks for the video Where can I get bearings and seal ?
Whirpool Canada has a lifetime warranty on the stainless steel tub and spider arm assembly. You need to register the unit with them on the phone. If you need a technician to install it, they will handle that for you. Do not throw away a great washer. With th new basket, you will get another 10 years for free andf save 1000$. The reason the spider disintergrated was because we wash in cold water and the soap eats away at the metal. Just was in warm and if yiou need to wash in cold, wash the delicates by hand. This is a great video if you are handy. I used it to dissasemble it and re-install it.

In the US, they don’t have life time warranty. They have only 1 year warranty
@@mathildaapril1175 Its on the fine print in the warranty and user manual. Its no difference between Canada and US sales. (North american Warranty)
@@roadeagle , and mine said “1 year” warranty. I bought mine at Costco, so it has 2 years of warranty. I bought it by using my credit card, so it added another two years. I have total of 4 years of warranty. There is NO lifetime warranty. Not for any of the brand. Some LG has 10 years. Some GE has 10 years. But, none of them has lifetime warranty.
@@roadeagle , also, warranty will be voided if you fix the appliance yourself, or, non authorize technicians.

The white grease should have used to lubricate the seal, not the bearing races! The bearing races don't require grease other than to minimize corrosion if the seal leaks again. A dry seal will wear out prematurely.

Can you please help me I have a washer coin machine it's a whirlpool front load has error f21 but I checked the water
Pump y steel goog. What do you think it's problem ? Than you for your help.
Where can I buy a seal ring?
Couldn’t you have replaced the bearings only and reused everything else?
And if not, then why?

I did not even see him replace the bearings only grease the race!
I thought the bearings were bad and too much play!
He only replaced the tub shaft assembly.
When you see blood, you know the job is being done right.
I'm having a problem releasing the control panel...and my machine is identical to yours. All of the screws are out on the top. I've pried the tabs...and its still not coming. It feels like its stuck in the center. :/

This is only worth it for a DIY otherwise to pay a technician for the labor cost you might as well purchase a new one.
