I tried a neon Pothos with a coco coir pole and it never rooted into it no matter how much I watered it. I've had much better experiences with moss poles. Here's a tip for watering : I stick a wick horizontally through the moss pole a couple of inches above where the plant is, and water it through a cup. That way I don't have to water the entire pole, and as the plant grows I move the wick up. Works really well.

Which do you prefer? Coco coir or moss poles?
I prefer moss poles for most my plants because it seems to hold moisture for longer. Nice channel so far. Keep it up
