Love your casual energy in this series. I'm not a trucker by any means, but I play this, doing a few deliveries a day. I don't know much about the trucking world so I learn a little bit about how to improve my gameplay experience from your vids

Hi Zilla, to my way of thinking, do not be in a hurry to pay back your loans. Once you've applied for a loan you've immediately been charged the interest so whether you pay the loan off immediately or through the scheduled repayments you're paying back the same amount. So instead of rushing to pay the loan back put your money towards more trucks and drivers, the sooner you buy and hire the sooner they level up and they'll put towards the loan repayments. I hope I'm right in this regard but that is what I do. Cheers and keep up the excellent work, Potty :o) (I'm sure there are a lot of smarter people then me out there that could point you in the right direction and I agree with Sam Cattell on his excellent idea of moving your trailers to where your drivers are)
Heya Potty - I just tested the loan thing. It doesn't look like you pay all the interest up front. I was able to just pay back the $50k loan for $50k, without having paid any interest. But I totally agree on getting the trailers in the hands of Jana K and Ahmed. We'll do that next episode! :)

@@ZillaBlitz It's just gonna be like that every once in a while. And I mean, I know you're usually very careful and almost never get fines (except for speeding violations 😂), so I know this was an outlier

Another great video. If you want to make money, move one of your trailers to a garage where your drivers are based so they can use them. The trailers have 0% utilisation right now meaning they're an expense that are generating zero revenue. Maybe move the reefer.
I was just typing about the seat adjustment when you started talking about it!
On a separate note, I find ATS is really harsh on red light penalties compared to ETS2, especially turning left at lights, I've been penalised when light was green because I was overlapping the middle lane. So frustrating!
Oh, that's a good idea on the trailers, although I don't imagine Jana K will make any money with whatever we give her. ;) I do want to try the dumper trailer at least once, too, but probably after the Xmas event. In the meantime, I'll move them to our other garage and let Ahmed and Jana K pretend to use them. :)
Yeah, I was really slow on making the seat adjustments, and it took about five minutes to do.
I've had the same thing happen on the left turns. I turned from the non-turning lane and got a hefty fine. I'm not sure what happened on the right on red in this episode, I had my blinker on and thought I came to a complete stop. But perhaps it wasn't enough of a complete stop? *shrug*

Just a fyi, I have figured out that if you go straight too far into the intersection on a red you will get a ticket, you have to start turning before a certain point to avodi it. So if you need to turn wide just wait out the light.
Ah, that makes a lot of sense, yes! I hadn't considered that. Especially trying to take wide turns it's pretty easy to go into the intersection quite a ways. Good tip, thanks!
your pressing now trying to get out of debt!!! slow down on trying to fix your truck up and hire more drivers and get their trucks running good with sleepers if you want them to long haul for you... once you start making more money then you can fix your truck up with the profits keep your trailers basic...add the chrome and things with profit money!!!

I maxed ADR and high value cargo for my employees, which will give lots of money in addition to some distance

I don't have trouble with the fact there are light traffic lights. My problem is that they last too long. They last real-world time length in a game-time world.
I think, though, if they lasted game-time length you'd barely have any time get through them.
Let's hope Jenna K doesn't find out about your poor driving this episode - I'm sire she's have something to say.
Ha! At least I'm driving. I'd be fine if she were a poor driver. At least that means she's actually driving instead of doing... whatever it is she's doing. :)

Sometimes things happen like that, for sure. Fortunately, there aren't too many traffic lights and too much traffic. :)
So is there not a way to assign loads to your driver or maybe set it to where they haul a specific type of freight? Cause Jenna k is useless. I would’ve fired her by now lol
I think you can influence that by giving them a trailer to use, and by how you develop their skills, but otherwise, not that I know of. Not to give too much away, but we do eventually solve the mystery of why our drivers are so bad. :)

I forgot to ask you. What do you think would be a good starter gaming pc to buy so I can play this game?
Hmm. Unfortunately, I've made the last 3-4 computers I own, but when I did buy them I had really good luck with Dell stuff. I always liked them. The game is moderately demanding, but nothing excessive. I don't know your budget, but I don't think you'd need top of the line. Maybe "above average" would be a good target to aim for. Honestly, though, I'd recommend asking on the Steam forums for the game to get the best answer. There are people there would would be able to give you really good advice. The game page on Steam too probably lists recommended computer specifications.
The only other thing I'd add is that a wheel really makes the gameplay. I have the Logitech C920 (linked in the description) and I've been very happy with that.
I drove on a lifting bridge in ats
