In rural areas, there is no ceiling in the classroom. No computers whatsoever. How is this possible in 2024?? The Western Cape schools get overrun by pupils from the Eastern Cape , where education has failed, and they rock up in January demanding a place or they will set the school on fire. Then you have the SADTU , South African Democratic Teachers Union, all they want to do is work less for bigger salaries. No money because the ANC are in charge of the budget and they steal more than the budget.
For permanent staff members who are going to be relocated, is there a relocation package? Will additional monies be granted to families that are split as a result so that families that are separated are compensated for additional costs incurred?

Afrikaaners go for gold. So all in all its okay the year still has 2 exams. When i was studying other students stated only around a 1/3rd passed engineering for example. Unisa recently showed 20% pass rate doubt afrikaaners are creating that low stat when they probably dont even make 20% of the local/online classes. With 61% youth unemployment i doubt again afrikaans speakers are making those 18-34yr stats

Municipal workers got a wage increase. It appears that the Western Cape government favours paying their staff better over educating the youth of the Western Cape. Look around the world at countries that succeed. They invest in education, job creation and sustaining a viable middle class. South Africa as a whole has ignored these in favour of corruption and nepotism. Is the Western Cape following the practices of the ANC government to date? This appears to be the Western Cape philosophy: 'Why bother to educate children? There aren't any jobs anyway. Let's take away the jobs of members of the middle class [teachers] so that we can pay more to municipal employees including ourselves.' This is not a viable business model for any country, province or company.
