One of the main reasons I re-subscribed to your channel(s) a couple of years ago was that of all the "travel" and "exploration" channels I was subscribed to at one time, I came to realize you were the ONLY one who managed to stay grounded while providing snap shots, if you will, of our beautiful nation that all to often go unseen and unappreciated by many, if not most, Americans. I hope you will continue to provide the entertaining, and very often, educational videos that you are famous for. I make it a point to check your channel first thing in the morning.....You make a old man smile, laugh out loud, and often times, show and/or teach him something new every now and again. Keep up the great work and safe travels!!!
cnrmoose, I so agree. I live in the southeast area of WV which borders the southwest area of Virginia. The mountain area is so majestic and so under rated. It thrills me how much Adam is enjoying our area.
The Natural Bridge State Park is a really beautiful place. If you are anywhere near Schuyler, Virginia you might want to stop and see the real Walton's Mountain there. Schuyler is a small community at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is the boyhood home of the show's creator, Earl Hamner.
The State of Virginia now manages Natural Bridge, which is why it dropped in admission price. My family visited in October shortly after the official change in ownership. The previous owner wanted to sell the surrounding area for development :( . Thankfully the state acquired it. The hotel is also very nice; it is privately owned. Planning to go back this summer!
Foamhenge has been moved further north in Virginia. I need to find it. It makes me sad that they made Mark move it. Next time you come through this area, you need to seek out Windrock. It's an amazing site to see.
You're fairly close to my hometown of Danville, VA. That's another small, fading town with a ton of history. From the abandoned facilities of the Dan River Mills, to the site of the horrific train crash of the Old 97', and even the last capitol of the Confederacy (the actual building) is still standing there. You should take a visit, I think you would love it.
Enjoy the Blue Ridge! Loved driving through there when I was traveling between my hometown and my new home. Thanks for taking me back down 64 for a minute.
In Roanoke you were 50 miles from my home in Blacksburg.Been to Natural Bridge many times, and I've never tired of it. It's good seeing it from your POV. It looks as beautiful as ever.
Okay,so there was this Indian Brave who became very, very nervous. He decided to visit the medicine man. When he arrived,he began shouting " I'm a Wigwam,I'm a Teepee! I'm a Wigwam,I'm a Teepee!". The medicine man puts a hand on his shoulder, and says,"Hey relax, you're two tents!".
Adam, thank you for showing us the beauty of Natural Bridge State Park. We were going to go there some time ago but, seeing the high cost to get in, we thought it was rather expensive for a family. I am so glad that the state of Virginia took it over as a state park. I know there was a lot of controversy since the owner was trying to sell it. A private entity bought it. Virginia took over management just last year on September 24, 2016. The state will own the park once the debt is paid off. Nice to see that the admission cost has been lowered considerably. The hotel is not part of the park.
Hey! You're in VA! We live near Richmond but happened to visit Natural Bridge last fall on the day it was taken over as a Virginia State Park from its former ownership by the National Park Service. Video could never do justice to the massiveness of experiencing the bridge in person. It's a gorgeous hiking trail as well. So glad you were able to enjoy it. When we were visiting we heard noises in the cave. At first we thought it was an animal...then we realized the noise was a bunch of kids who had jumped the barrier. Come visit Richmond. We have tons of amazing history here...
Morning Adam! Another great blog today! The Natural Bridge & that area around it is very nice. The scenery is gorgeous. Definitely a place I'd like to visit one day. Hope your feeling better & safe travels!
Adam, Kentucky has a Natural Bridge State Park also! You can take a skylift up to the top of it and walk across and under it. You will have to drop by one day to see it!
Chuck Music I've been there before. I also lost a friend there at the same exact place another person died. so needless to say be careful. he slipped and fell off a cliff and was too late by the time everyone ran to camp to get ropes.
Love the Natural Bridge. When we went there in 2004 there was a small wedding being held at that group of benches. I-81 is one of the prettiest interstate drives there is. I just love I-81. It's gorgeous in the Fall. Love these vlogs. Safe travels, hun. Glad you're feeling better. 😊
I went back to "TDW 1498" to view Foamhenge, and other sites! I don't say it enough, but thank you for all of your hard work putting these videos together! Your videos are so amazing, they should be used in classrooms alongside History books! As things disappear from our landscapes, you have documented videos for the future! God bless you! :)
Adam I have a "large marge" similar to yours (magestic is the name of the model I have) and we took it to Natural Bridge last fall. It's a beautiful area!! RV life is awesome!!!!

Yes, 10 years ago. He can go see the memorial on the drill field if he wants. I recommend him checking out the underground stream, but not crawl underground to follow it. And eat lunch at Souvlaki.
Thanks Adam the Woo for your daily video uploads. I watch every morning and it's a great way to start my day. I enjoy all your videos but the ones with the beautiful outdoor locations are particularly my favorite. Thanks once again for all that you do!
The feels around that river near the rock...can't help help but wonder: Maybe 1 day, do a vlog of you going on a river journey/raft/boat trip, perhaps?? 🤔
Adam, not sure how far you're traveling North, but Harpers Ferry is in West Virginia about 30/40 minutes off I-81. Very relaxing during the spring and early summer. Also thanks for the updates on old St. Cloud, I lived there for most of my childhood and moved up to West Virginia in '94. Stay safe during your travels and hope to see you around.
FYI: Foamhenge has been relocated to Centreville, Virginia in 2017. The Natural Bridge became a state park in 2016, forcing Foamhenge to close. The structure was dismantled on August 30, 2016 and placed in storage at Cline's studio. After receiving over fifty inquiries from across the United States, an agreement was made to relocate Foamhenge to Cox Farms, a popular, 116-acre family farm, near Centreville, VA, a suburb of Washington, D.C. The pieces are planned to be refurbished, repaired or replaced before re-installation. Foamhenge is scheduled to debut at Cox Farms in 2017, by the start of the farm's 'Fall Festival' in September.
We have a natural bridge in KY. Also many natural Arches in the Red River Gorge area not far away. The only cost is for the chair lift up to natural bridge. You can hike everything for free though.
ADAM- Burt Reynolds is going to be at the Jump Site from SMOKEY and the BANDIT. They're jumping a classic Trans Am to recreate the jump 40th Anniversary at Jonesboro Ga
Please visit more of Virginia! Fredericksburg is AWESOME and so is Luray!!!! Luray is only on of 5 caverns out of 2,000 caves in JUST in Shenandoah and the valley that is open to the public. It’s gorgeous.
Another great vlog Adam your the most entertaining vlog on youtube today, yesterday, tomorrow or any other day for that matter, glad to see you well again.

It's great to see someone such as yourself come to Roanoke and the surrounding area. I was born and raised in Roanoke...well I was born in Roanoke but I was actually raised in Salem which is in Roanoke County. There is a lot of stuff to do in and around this area during the summer if you can stand the heat to do so. I tend to hibernate during the summer in my air conditioned apartment and then come out during the fall, winter and spring. =)
Adam, you have got to visit Natural Bridge State Park as well as the Red River Gorge in Slade, Kentucky. You can either hike or ride the sky lift to the top and walk across the bridge. You can also drive through the Nada Tunnel at the gorge but Large Marge won't fit I am afraid.
oh wow, can't believe you were in my area not so long ago! i live about 10 minutes away from that big muffler man statue at the beginning. roanoke is not a very popular place to visit, and its cool that you happened to pass by!

We have several of those in the Red River Gorge here in Eastern Kentucky and they don't cost anything to see them in fact there are several of them you can walk on top of
I've fallen behind and trying to catch up with your vlogs. I pass by Natural Bridge on 81 all the time when coming down from NJ to see the family in NC. You had me sold on stopping to see the park on my next trip down.....right up until the footage of the snakes. Maybe not now lol.
If you're heading up to WV and to Shenandoah, check out American Celebration On Parade. Strangest museum of HUGE parade floats I've ever been to! Would make an interesting vlog!
New Jersey has a great deal of history from the Revolutionary war!! Plenty of amazing stories about our founding Father George Washington!! Lived here most of my life but my heart belongs to the South! Happily my soul belongs to Jesus!! Have a great day Adam!!
Hey Adam once again you brought a happy tear to my eye remembering back in the 60's when I visited Natural Bridge with my family including grandma what a wonderful time it was they had a show at night about how god created it with lights and well ya know Moses speaking lol thanks again for taking us along. have a blessed day :-)
Dang you were right in my home town Roanoke Va. I was on vacation that week and camping near Lexington. I passed right by Natural Bridge not once but twice that day. Bummer I would have stopped and said hi. Foamhinge was moved last year. Will have to look up where. Another sate I'm fairly sure. Natural Bridge just became a state park recently. Another thing that was lost nearly three years ago was the wax museum. I got video of my last visit.

Major wow factor when you finally see the natural bridge. I never made it to the waterfall, thanks for showing it!
Glad you are seeing how beautiful southwest Virginia is, most underrated part of the country by far
cnrmoose, I so agree. I live in the southeast area of WV which borders the southwest area of Virginia. The mountain area is so majestic and so under rated. It thrills me how much Adam is enjoying our area.
cnrmoose I love living down here.
