I am so glad that the state of Virginia took over management of Natural Bridge. It has been designated as a state park since 2016. Thanks for showing everyone how nice the park is. I thought I remembered that the entrance fee was higher before it became a state park. Before it became a state park the entrance fee was about twice the amount that it is now.
That is gorgeous!! The Natural Bridge and that beautiful waterfall. Thank you for going on that hike for those of us who wouldn't be able to do this. Our country has so much to offer to see and especially if you love history!!

I used to live about 15 miles from the Natural Bridge almost 30 years ago// it was pretty cool to see it again
Awesome! I am sooooo tickled that you came to visit us here in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia! The empty village that was closed used to be an interactive Indian Village, which was very educational and fun for all ages. Also, prior to COVID, the Park Service had an evening sunset program featuring the Book of Genesis, which included a light show that was illuminated on the side of the bridge and it’s rock walls. Very beautiful.

Y’all are in my backyard! Thanks visiting beautiful Natural Bridge! We have a drought going. Usually water table is higher in the creek/river. Certain times of the year there are actors portraying how people lived in the camp where you saw no trespassing signs. Pre covid there has been Halloween adventures along path as well. Enjoy VA❤️

18:35 if I'm not mistaken I was there in 2000 and that lower small gift shop served as a small restaurant and I ate at one of those benches overlooking the stream. Was beautiful and almost surreal.
We got married in Winchester then drove down to the natural bridge the next day. It took about 3-4 hrs from Winchester. VA is a huge, long state. Beautiful place 💞
I definitely noticed a blue theme going on here a blue butterfly, flowers, Dawn and Wills shirts.

Hey Will and Dawn what a great video with alot of history, so beautiful there and quite the hike (those steps) something else. I am glad you had a great time and I am sure you will need to rest a spell after this. Love and blessings. PS price is still the same, I thought maybe it had gone up, so that is great.
We went in the Summer of 2018. We loved it. The primitive area was a Native American Indian living history area when we went. We also visited the Peaks of Otter which is not too far away.
Natural Bridge is beautiful. Spent some time there on our honeymoon many years ago. Such good memories! That area on the right that was closed off was an Indian village before Covid. They demonstrated how to make native american things and their way of life. It was really neat to see! Thank you for this visit! Was the hotel nice?

Awesome you guys are in my neck of the woods... we just took a trip to Natural Bridge and also did the caverns.. so beautiful and a lot of history.. and we stayed at the Yogi Bear Campground while we were up there of course for the kids.. we're getting ready to head to Pigeon Forge August 8th....

We stop there Everytime we head south love natural bridge
Great video! I was there in Oct 2018 and the water was a lot higher and flowing a little faster then. I didn't make it to the waterfall so I guess I'll have to go back someday. I hope you found the shuttle bus back to the visitor's center so you didn't have to walk back up all those steps.
I live about an hour away from natural bridge before the state took it over there use to be a wax museum on property but it's long gone and the farm you and dawn passed was a Indian village

Interesting tour guide of Natural Bridge State Park in VA. Thank you for uploading it to UA-cam for many to see as well.
However that bridge isn't natural. Man hug a hole through it to make a pathway under it.
I'm from North Chesterfield, VA
The hike back up those stairs is pretty hard, I'm a plus size lady and I would get winded and not want people to think I was dying so I would stop to catch my breath and be like oh look at that tree or look at the water, lol, I'm just pausing to admire all the beauty. I was disappointed when we made the hike to the waterfall, couldn't actually get up close to it

Back in the early 70s they used to have a chair lift that you could take down, instead of having to walk all those steps.
Before it was a state park Natural Bridge was big on Easter Sunrise services.

Just FYI, they do have a bus to take people down who cannot do stairs. When my son was a baby, they bussed us down. Also, the "primitive" area is a Monacan village model.
