When you 7d out at 15 minutes, why did you not build a city? If you kept 2 sheep, 2 wheat, and 2 ore you could have. Later in that turn, you mention you need a second city.

DyLighted certainly doesn't win with dignity.
If reliability was a big desire in the community, would it help to have a Bo3 format with a 3-player tiebreak game?
I.e. each group of 4 players plays 3 games, then if all of the winners are different, they play for 1st place in a 3-player game - would that be desirable?
With carry over, players would just target whoever won the first game in game two and whoever won the first and second game in game three. Logically the series would always go to that tie-breaker 3-player game. So why not cut out those first three games and just start with that tie-breaker?
@@CptClough In the third game, anyone who has not won a game yet MUST win or else they're out. They can't afford to target. So each player can be targeted by at most one other player in game 3, and that other player is also the one with the biggest incentive to themselves find a win.

C and D both need to win game 3.
A and B really want to win game 3.
B, C, and D must not let A win.
A, C, and D must not let B win.
At some point in the game if A or B get ahead, they will be targeted by the other three players and lose.
@@CptClough By that logic, a single game also has every player getting targeted by all 3 opponents and being not able to win

The difference between a single game and a game 3 in your scenario is that...
It's better for A to let C or D win over B.
It's better for B to let C or D win over A.
Neither of those conditions are true in a single game.

It seems like you would have had way more material to port, you have more points of production and more settlement spots.
That’s a much harder position to play and not sure how you’re seeing more production or settlement spots when it’s same production and more contested for space.
@@Rainn2407 6/9/3 is 11 points of production. 9/4/11 is 9 points. It also traps you in the middle of the board. At 6/9/3 you always can settle on the coast

Noob here: why not take 4/10/8 with strong wheat and 3 resources?
I’m no pro, but you put some value to the 2:1 wood port. On top of that, 8 wheat is good, but there’s two 8-wheat on the board. Wheat is going to be plentiful, so very easy to trade with. So with this kind of board, you wanna prioritize ore + wood, depending on your strategy.
The amount of trading on your games is insane. EVERY game I've ever played online the entire table takes the attitude of "FU, if you want it, do a 4:1". It drives me insane at the amount of wasted resources and just sheer stupidity.
