Not necessarily, the Witcher 1 is being remade with Unreal Engine 5 so there's a good chance of a new experience on par with the Witcher 3. If successful, they'll definitely remake the Witcher 2 as well.
I will never forget the first time i entered Novigrad, coming from Skyrim, it's just day and night difference with day and night amount of 'woah', dare i would say the only time i ever saw a true bustling living city in a non-modern setting was only in AC Unity, Witcher 3, and RDR2.

If you haven't played the next Gen update, I highly recommend. It's not quite the level of first play through for me, but I can't put my controller down.
Man the short animations they made for the Witcher will always be some of the best shit hands down. Especially the line he says to that soldier.....

This word needs someone who can tell right from wrong and act accordingly instead of winding out like an eel and not someone who is white-knighting for werewolfs, other monsters, annoying bards and human and other atrocities.

I watched those clips so many times and I get chills every single time. I remember how hyped I was before the game was released and I how magical the first moments were. The whole game was a true experience and I still recall the end credits after completing Hearts of Stone when I was like "damn I wished I could un-remember all of this just to play this story again with the same awe"

The only good thing to come out of episodic memory loss due to a seizure was replaying this game after the PS5 update and struggling to recall a lot of the events in the game. It was like experiencing the story fresh after being told a detailed summary, instead of replaying it for the third time.
I'm playing through it right now, it feels like a slog going point by point to each location on the map. Much preferred Witcher 2 in terms of pacing and direction.
I would give anything to experience it for the first time again. Good days they were

The hubris some writers must have to see this kind of content and think nah we can tell a better story, paint a better picture. This is amazing.
I remember buying this game game because I was bored while waiting for a major game release. Strange how it became one of the best games I have ever played. If not THE best.

Yeah it was a quote from The Last Wish. It was from when he became the Butcher of Blaviken.
It was from one of the short stories, "The Lesser Evil", from The Last Wish.

These are the best cinematics ever made IMHO. Seen these so many times and each time still I get chills. No other game has affected me so much than the Witcher.

I love the fact that the bruxa trailer likely takes place immediately after the ending of the last DLC
Clip with the bruxa is great, Geralt definitely drank black blood which is why she started to die after she bit him. This game holds such a dear place in my heart, glad to be alive at a time to enjoy it.
It really is great, and it definitely is so special to me, but I kind of wonder if that wasn’t the original plan for Orianna, she’s the same design, voice actress, everything, even the way Geralt greets her like he’s trying to deal with having to kill her despite knowing her. However, in the end they decided to change Orianna’s fate in the game and left her alive and open. I would like to know just for the heck of it, but it would also be nice to know as we’d see just how much development and revision can go into something if the devs feel there can be a greater story from said character.

this series is so epic and amazing it's sickening we couldn't get a show even remotely as good as these cutscenes from a video game

One thing I LOVE about after the fight with the Bruxa (Vampire) is the crows following him. Crows being carrion (dead flesh) eaters. Giving the view that "death" follows a witcher

It wouldn't change a thing. She was never interested in making a show that was true to the source material. Cavill would try everyday to educate her on the lore, and suggest ideas that were more faithful to the source material. Did she appreciate it? No. She and others made his life a living hell on set until he finally called it quits.

@@burndemon100 There is always NG+ :). I usually make a safe file, note date and reload later to play the other versions of the missions.
Idk why but animation just seems to be the better medium for anything fantasy related.

Sometimes I wish I can erase my memory after I beat a game so I can play it again and get that wow feel all over and this gamewas amazing beautiful. First game of the witcher series I played was wild hunt the other two I finally got a pc for but the first game need to be remastered along with second for next gen so I can have a full play through of all three but blood and wine is the best dlc to ever exist for a game and every second was worth it

THIS is how the show should have been made. Forget the GoT-style politics. Forget some overused world-changing "epic" storyline. Focus on GERALT and what he does. If you do include politics, do it lightly and have it happen in the background. Don't let it become the focus of the show. I swear, they make a Witcher show and write the Witcher out of it. Idiots.
