Episode 12: Summer's $ Totals, and the Power of Connecting

- Add it up! I report on the total amount of money I took in this summer over the course of six events. More importantly I talk about the importance of connecting with others when you are an artist--and ideas about how to do this connecting.
Love this, Anne!!! Your suggestions are not too obvious or preachy at all for people like me. I definitely do not have an art community yet but am hopeful that I will eventually. In the meantime, I'm having a blast starting my third week on UA-cam. Cringing at myself as I go but learning so much. Congrats on your stats!!🎉🎉🎉 I love watching your videos (and Jackie's)!! Anne, these are great ideas. I completely agree that we need each other. Your ideas about creating an art community are excellent -- and these ideas are directly transferable to creating connections and community in other aspects of life!

Oh my gosh. I just am sitting here listening to you talk about me and my heart is so full. I am not sure I’ve ever had someone see me so clearly. Thank you, Anne. I’m just so happy we’ve met.
And these words about connecting and asking for help is so important. I’ve learned this from my younger friends. I feel like millennials are so much better at this and I’ve really shifted how I see life because of them.
And those blueberries are 🥰 what a gift.

The accepting help is a work in progress for myself too. It's inspiring to see others do it. I think letting people help you is a surprising gift to others, giving people a chance to have the great, satisfying feelings that come along with being helpful/useful. Can be an open door of vulnerability, allowing ppl to get closer. All in all, good stuff!
@@annelivingstonart that! And if we allow people to help we are also helping people learn how to help. It’s a massive circle of learning to crack the rugged individualistic nature that we live in this culture.

Incredible to hear of this jump in subscribers, I'm so happy for you. This video has alway landed at the perfect time for me. I've felt a recent opening within me to share & ask for support as I also try & support others & the result has been beautiful. It's so true that our sum is greater together than as individuals. I am overwhelmed by her generosity and kindness...
