Thanks for watching Silkworm Growning Stages in our Feeder Insect Series and be sure to check out the Feeder Insect Playlist to see other great projects. Whenever possible its always best to raise your own reptile food to ensure the right care is given, or buy in bulk from trusted vendors rather than buying from a random pet store. I also intend to show how I raise other feeder insects in future videos so stay tuned.

What an awesome project, it's so great you home bred your insects
Yes I home breed most of them except for crickets lol🤭 Thanks again!
I truly enjoyed this, it is so well put together with a little humor
That means a lot. Thank you🥰

Thanks so much🙂
Wow! Great video friend and she's so cute
Thanks so much☺
Amazing how fast silkworms grow. This was interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Yes indeed! I hope all is well on your side with your lovely reptiles🙂
@@kripkethechameleonfriends4505 all is well. Thank you so much.
Not sure why I just got this alert days later. Great video, this is one of the top feeders for reptiles
Sorry to hear that, someone told me most people have to click the alerts again because they added more options. As for the Silkworms they are indeed one of the best 🙃
I never knew about these, thanks for sharing your beautiful pet
Thanks so much!
We enjoy your videos, keep up the great work 👍
Sorry now seeing this, thank you
Ohh I love her
She's awesome! We got her from the reptile show and was originally told it was a he, until she passed eggs 😉
@@kripkethechameleonfriends4505 Wow I did not know that. I just checked your old videos, is that Loki?
@@prestinegolds2702🤗Great observation! Yes that was Loki then we found that Kyle suited him better, then later saw the eggs as she grew, so we renamed her Kylie🙃
@@kripkethechameleonfriends4505 Perfect choice! I love that name I'm Kylie Jenner's # 1 fan =))
Great job! She must have been salivating to eat them =)
LOL! She goes nuts for silkworms🙃
I've been a fan since day 1 and I'm glad to see your breeding your own feeders. Silkworms are a lot tougher to raise than most insects but an excellent food source
Yes they are more work then most of my breeders. I home breed most of them except for crickets🤭😉 Thanks so much for your support, we truly appreciate it.
Hey friend superb
Thanks so much and I hope all is well with you🙃
Wonderful video, I also have a leopard that looks exactly like that. I've bred and sold a lot of geckos back in the days
That's awesome, they are great little pets
I just tried giving my leopard gecko silkworms for the first time yesterday and she was like nope no thankyou
LoL sorry to hear that hopefully she'll come around someday🙃
Awesome Video... I also live in New york... I have a Chameleon an Dart Frog's... Thanks for the video
Sorry for the late response....That's awesome!
Silk worms are the best feeders imo.
Yes indeed👍
I love what you've done here, I had to learn more about these amazing creatures and will to try this sometime. Fantastic video!
That sounds great, I'm sure it will work out well got you. Thanks for stopping by
I love learning so many interesting things on your channel. Are you going to the Reptile Show?
I was hoping to pick up a box of crickets from a vendor I know and check it out since its the last show this season but I'm not sure yet. How about you?
@@kripkethechameleonfriends4505 Unfortunately I'm not in town but I know my cousin would be so excited to run into you again
@@ricfisor2172 It's all good he can always stop by and say hello☺
@@kripkethechameleonfriends4505 Cool! Where at?
@@yorkshireexpress1334 The LI Reptile Show in NYC
I meant to comment earlier but was driving at the time. Great job on this video, are you considering going to all the way to a moth? These worms are the best but a pain to separate from the silk😩
Yes I face the most challenges the first few days while tiny, then it gets easier🙃 As for the moth it depends on the demand by my pets if any are left😉
Lol so silky !!! Do you think my tree frog will enjoy them? ✌💞
Thanks so much and sorry for the late response I just came back from the reptile show. From what I've understood tree frogs eat insects, earthworms, waxworms, etc, so I doubt these super healthy guys would be a problem, but it's always best to do in-depth research to be certain. I hope all is well on your side. Tell Curley 🐰 I said hello🙃
Very cool! Don’t see them up here
Sorry for the late response, just came back from the reptile show. Thanks so much!
I have to try this because they are expensive and hard to find
Great video! My daughter loved it and wants to grow her own worms for her pets. Where can I get these eggs?
Sorry now seeing this. Thank you both for checking us out, I included links in the description area🙃
What an awesome video!, I've been thinking about breeding these little guys for a while, do you keep them at room temperature?, I heard eggs should be placed inside an incubator from 78 F to 85 F also how do you clean their container?, if you're planning on breeding these guys It would be wonderful if you could make a full video about them, from eggs all the way to moths :O. Anyway sorry for all the questions, like I said I've been thinking about breeding silkworms for a while but there are some articles that I've read saying that silkworms get sick fast and you need to wash your hands before and after you handle them and all that kind of stuff, you have a lovely gecko by the way! :D
Sorry now seeing this. Yes clean hands is a must and I usually hatch them on top my chameleon's cage near the heat lamp in a little container and I've grown them to moths, got eggs and began the process all over again😉
Did you set up your own colony
Yes, I hatch them and grow them out myself
