So many people missed out on the great lore of Deathwing because of the poor storytelling in Cata. Understandingly, Blizz was focused on the monumental task of reforging the world, but his lore suffered greatly because of it. All of my long-time player friends still have no idea who he is today--they just think an evil dragon popped up out of nowhere. lol

I don't think you can compare them. I like both for different reasons. Chromie for me is more of an interesting and funny character. With Alex it's more the mother figure and protector of life stuff she does.
It just occurred to me that Malthael in Diablo 3 isn't too dissimilar to Deathwing. There are plenty of massive differences, of course, but being reminded of Deathwing's line of "Death is final. Death is eternal. Death is...my realm." just made me go "take it easy Malthael". One just went crazy of their own volition, while another was driven mad by an outside force *and then* started doing crazy shit of his own volition.
This is the kind of lore and story that I miss in WoW. Shadowlands is alright ig but the lore just feels so disconnected to everything else and the characters feel like part of a soulless soap opera

Kalec was made Aspect after the fall of Malygos during an important astrological event involving the two moons, though, and that may prove significant as we learn more about Elune.
That clip of the confrontation between Deathwing and Alexstrasza seems a bit off, I can't place my finger on it. Could it be that giant green planet in the sky?

Tbh the dragon aspekter could very well be from a different game. Very few expansions even mentions the aspects so you really have to go out of your way to find them

Where the plot falls off the rails. Horde "force" her to have babies. Players kill her babies thru questing Alex is friendly to players of either side, regardless of the history or players actions.
It takes a lot to make her hate you. Only Death Knights who chose to slaughter a bunch of red dragons needlessly in Legion are warned that she will "not forget".
This line never made it into Il'gynoth's fight in Ny'alotha. None of his "predictions" that were in the voice files did. I've done the fight many many times and he just says the lines that correlate with his attacks. Oh and the final one on death which is always the same. I even watched a video of the fight on Mythic thinking maybe it just wasn't in the normal or heroic versions, and nope still no special voice lines. Drest'agath was also supposed to have several voice lines in her fight, but she says nothing.
