I learned how to spatchcock the chicken from your Alabama White Sauce video (yummy!!!) and still do it that way to this day, cause its the best!! I don't have one of those racks, maybe i'll grab one if they're on sale some time and give it a try. As always, enjoyed the video !
Much appreciated Rockhard! Trying to get back in gear on the editing. I have roughly 12 videos in the can, I just edit at the pace of a tree sloth. 😂 Cheers and happy smoking out there buddy! 🔥
After I read meathead’s book I did the same experiment because I always bragged about my beer can chicken. It’s better without😢 oh well, more beer for my belly. Great video.
I’ve done this exact experiment to prove to my neighbor that it isn’t helping with moisture. The beerless chicken seemed to be more moist he was shocked I wasn’t.I just smoked a 7lb pork loin with cherry wood on my Webber kettle great profile on the taste.Cousin just lost 2 pear trees in a storm. They let me cut them up for the wood so hopefully I’ll have some dry pear wood next year to smoke with.🔥🔥👍💰
Thanks so much, Steve. Yeah, I'll always go no beer but keeping the stands. Sounds awesome on the Pear wood. I've had some pear and liked it a lot on both pork and chicken. Didn't give it a shot on beef. Best of luck with the wood and happy smoking out there my man! 🔥
I’m with you on if you put a cold half can it don’t do squat, I’ve also experimented with it where I’ve heated a half can of beer to boil and then used it inside the cook, it makes a difference I’m tellin y’all
I have done the same thing many, many years ago. I used Mexican coke and not beer. I close off the end and not only does the coke evaporate ( your logic about the internal bird temp vs. evaporation of the coke is greatly flawed). The coke not only evaporated but the cans filled with the juices from the chicken. I really did not notice a big difference between with and with out.
I like to add a water pan closest to the fire box and have been using smaller splits of wood. I have to custom cut my own, as the standard size is just a little too big for this smoker I find. Cheers and happy smoking out there. 🔥
I know. Off brand for me but I just don't believe white claw would give off the right flavor profile and it also prolly won't fit in the stand either. Bud Light is my house beer that most people approve.... mostly me. 😁
Great idea, Jesse! I think I might give this a shot in the WSM without the water pan... might have to go middle rack but that should give it a whole new crust and flavor. Thanks for the comment and much appreciated for checking out the video. 😎
Ha! You are right, that is one of the biggest myths without a doubt. I'll cooking both ways depending on the cooker but there's no way any fat is going through. I do agree with it potentially basting around the brisket and adding the the crust but so funny how many people believe that. Cheers to you and happy smoking out there! 🔥
I have often wondered about that whole Beer can thing, seems more like a gimmick. Then there are folks who use a can of coke supposedly it creates a caramel type finish, always felt if that was what you wanted then a glaze is a better way to go. Funny enough it must be a Chicken-Monday as I just smoked Chicken using you Video “Smoked Chicken Halves, Dyna-Glo Offset smoker” from 2 years ago. Chicken turned out excellent and such a low impact cook…
Thanks so much for checking out the vids, Northern Frost! I agree it is a gimmick but I'll keep the stands and drink the beer. 😂 Cheers and happy smoking out there! 🔥
big big like 114 very nice so amazingggggg machallah
The beer can holders do work well in a cast iron pan to catch the juices while roasting veggies😊
Great idea, Bobbi! I'll have to give that a shot for sure. Cheers! ❤
😂😂😂 They've veen bamboozled! Good to see you back Joe! Good stuff!
CJ, my man Thanks a million for checking out the video. 😉
Bust out the spatchcock, I am tomorrow. Dyna is hungry for some spatchcock, LOL
Thanks, Robert! You are the man! 😎
Does anyone else hear Joe’s voice while they are smoking with Dyna? I know I’m not crazy..
😂 I always think I'm hearing Dyna in my sleep. 🎶🔥😎
I agree 100%. Using beer is a big scam. I dig the can holders though.
SJ! You are the man! I agree, I will certainly be keeping the holders but the beer is going in my belly! 😂 Cheers and happy smoking out there buddy! 🔥

Much appreciated Aris! I still cut up my chickens that way too. Cheers and happy smoking out there my friend! 🔥
Back at it Everett BBQ! love it Bruh! And I like that blocking log. Great techniques.

I will definitely have to give that a shot. Thanks so much for checking out the vid. Cheers
Crazy ass, Did you really expect that Bud Light to work, com on man . Thank You
Lance, the ole bud light has worked miracles before but the empty stand is undefeated. 😂 Cheers and happy smoking, buddy! 🔥
Looks delicious man! Sorry I missed the Premier :)
Rob, you are a beast! 💪

The cane sugar in the coke couldn't have made a difference.... greatly flawed. 🥴
Joe is on with this one 💨🔥💨🔥
Thank you, my man! Much appreciated for checking out the video. Cheers and happy smoking to you! 🔥

Thanks a million, Randy! Cheers to you and happy smoking out there. 👊

Hope all is well in your life, havent seen much of you on UA-cam for a while. Been subscribed for a long while and always love your videos.
I will be back regularly... sorry for the hiatus, but some real world problems take time to solve. Cheers and happy smoking, my friend. 🔥
Does coffee work well as a dry rub or in a wet marinade?
I've heard of people using coffee in theirs but never tried it out myself.
I purchased a CharGriller XD last year and i'm having trouble maintaing temps. Any advice you can give me. Love your videos.

Busted!
Cheers, Scott! Yeah, I'm sticking with the ole fashioned. 🐔
Nice experiment. Bud tho…yikes 😂🤣
Thanks a million, Zack! In my defense, it wasn't white claw! 😁 Cheers to you and happy smoking out there buddy! 😎🔥
Love it!!!
Cheers! 😎
I have to say, it does help when I cook one up in my Masterbuilt air fryer/smoker. Running way hotter. Keeps it moist, son! But otherwise, nope.
Thanks for checking this one out, Guy! Cheers to you and happy smoking out there! 🔥
Here for it, Joe!
Maplecook is an absolute electric factory!!! 😎
@@EverettBBQ Awww, shucks, man! haha
Beer can chicken myth busted
Thanks, J Funk! 😎
Was that a Bud Light bro?
I know. Off brand for me but I just don't believe white claw would give off the right flavor profile and it also prolly won't fit in the stand either. Bud Light is my house beer that most people approve.... mostly me. 😁
The master meat smoker is back!
Working on some more footage that is piling up, so should be more videos coming up very soon. Cheers to you! 🔥
Try it on direct heat
Great idea, Jesse! I think I might give this a shot in the WSM without the water pan... might have to go middle rack but that should give it a whole new crust and flavor. Thanks for the comment and much appreciated for checking out the video. 😎
Too funny. Yeah the beer can is overrated
Darnelle!!! 🙌 Thanks, my man. Hope you been well and yeah, I'm sticking with no beer but I'll keep the stands. 😂 Cheers, buddy!
I don't know, I think the biggest lie might be cooking brisket fat cap up so the meat absorbs the fat as it renders.
Ha! You are right, that is one of the biggest myths without a doubt. I'll cooking both ways depending on the cooker but there's no way any fat is going through. Hey Joe!
Skip! Wut up man! Thanks for checking out the video. Cheers to you and happy smoking buddy! 🔥😎

Thanks a ton Scotty! You are the man! 😎
Great use of Bud Light 😁
Gotta have a house beer that most can agree on..... mostly me. 😂

Joe! Been a while!
