I use water slide decals on my gel nails. I never knew you could use it on coffee mugs as well. Interesting 😊
I appreciate how specific you are on giving detail. Thank you.
I'm going to try this. Thank you for the tutorial and answering questions, covered everything I was worrying about.
You are so welcome!
So glad I found you!!!!! Awesome instructions! Be groovy darlin!
Thank you for your very good video,
Super helpful! Thank you!
I appreciate this video. Thank you!
Hi Crafting Made Easy, really enjoyed your tutorial! After you seal the mugs in the oven, can you see the edges of the paper that you cut around the artwork? Or does it come out looking seamless on the mugs? Thank you
If you look hard enough you can see it, but it doesn't stick out.
I prefer to mirror mine. Just keep your cup wet to have more moveability
Cute images
Thank you 😊
Are you using a specific printer?
Which spray sealer do you use that you spray & wait 60 seconds then repeat. instead of 15 minutes between each coat? Thanks nice video
I use Krylon clear spray.
Oh my goodness. On my last project it bled and I couldn't figure out why. I left the paper overnight. Smh. I'm so glad I found your video.
Did You seal it correctly let it Air dry
Instead of putting it in the oven can i epoxy it ?
You can.
I do both.. Let it bake one day then epoxy next day 🤷🏾♀
Do you spray the sealer again on the mug before or after the oven?
No. you just put it in the oven.
Hi, thank you for the tutorial, everything is clear. But... I have my pic like cracked in the water. I put my pic into the warm water and it just cracked vertically in 5 sec. What did I do wrong? I'd appreciate your advice. Thank you
Hello. Did you spray it with clear spray?
If you mirror your images and turn them face down to apply it will be so much easier to slide the backing off.
So do you seal the image with dishwasher safe mod pudge so you can hand wash the cup?
Just to clarify what I'm hearing.. (b-coz my images have been coated and hanging on the wall for DAYS... LOL.) Will I need to re-spray minutes before I can use them? or better yet.. Can I still use them? also... if I have Laserjet water slide paper for. my Inkjet printer.. I won't have to spray sealer on at all? Really good video, I thank you so much! The help is always appreciated!
Thanks for your awesome demonstration!
I have a question, I see the images that you choose are pretty much solid colors, do you think colorful detailed watercolor art will work for this?
Yes it should. Its all in your printer
Thank you for your response!
Thanks for this Aweeesome!!👍🏽Video Tutorial👍🏽but are you cooking your Waterslide cup in a Toaster Oven bcuz I saw another Video Tutorial that says its Unsafe to cook in your Food oven after you cook your Waterslide Cup in it bcuz of the Toxic Films it leaves
You're welcome. I baked it in my regular oven. You can always clean your oven after you bake it. I haven't had any issues with it.
eposn printer with regular print ink are ok to print on this waterslide paper?
Yes
Nice 👍, how long would the water slide last? Is it permanent , hand or dishwasher? Thanks
It is permanent, I hand wash my cups
I have seen in another clip where they remove the tissue and leave the painting on the mug. what is that method? How effective is your method?
Please reply.
Do you put the cups in a cold oven then let it heat up?
Can I use a heat press?
Follow... just asked the same question.
Do you use your home oven to cure? Is it okay to do so?
Awesome. Thanks! Can this technique be used on a wine class or shot glass?
Yes, it can
@@CraftingMadeEasy can you put a regular glass or wine glass in the oven as well? Thank you for the video!
How long do you put it in the oven and what degrees? I have the same brand of waterslide but It doesn’t say :(
230 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Can you cure the warerslide using the Cricut Mug Press instead of putting it in the oven?
great video. But do you place in oven ONCE IT REACEHES 230 DEGREES or do you place in oven turn on oven to 230 degrees & wait till it reaches temp turn off oven then let oven cool down before opening & taking out????? im scared of them breaking.
I preheat my oven to 230, then put it in.
@@CraftingMadeEasy Thank you
Help. I did everything in your video. I gave it to my sister. She said that she had it soaking in hot water and the image came off. Do you know what l did wrong
@@theresaverduzco5173 that's weird. Maybe it was the soaking. It shouldn't be put in the dishwasher or soaked.
Can I use an Air Fryer . If so for how long
Hi, want to know if the clear coat is safe .?
From what I read some are food safe. I would research the one you are using and see if it is non-toxic and food safe.
Are the gold lips on the kiss me mug upside down? 🤔
Idk, maybe 🤷🏾♀
Facts omg wtf
Why do you put them in the oven?
So the image would stay on the cup longer. It is part of the instructions.
Mine always have a million creases in it and the are IMPOSSIBLE to get all out. Is my design too big? Or any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
I had that issue when I was using cool water. I use warm water now. And I just take my time with it. Also wet the cup before you put the waterslide on. That will help take out the creases.
Does this help with them laying flat? Sometimes when I try to put images they won’t lay flat because of the natural curve of the cups. Do you know how I can fix that?
What brand of waterslide decal do you recommend?
I like hayes, I have not had any issues with it
@@CraftingMadeEasy thank you!
Where did you find the pink ribbon dress one? I'm a survivor
Congratulations. I got the image from etsy.
@@CraftingMadeEasy thank you 💕
Do you use the oven that you normally use?
Yes. I haven't read anything where it lets off any fumes or anything.
@@CraftingMadeEasy okay thank you
@@quinda2004 You're welcome
I think he would toxic using the spray and all
Do you really have to use silicon brush?Any replacement i can use?
You don't have to use it, any blunt tool should work.
If I place a water slide on a wine glass what is the drying process and do I have to bake it also?
The drying process is the same. I haven't, but from what I read you can bake them. Bake per your waterslide instruction.
@@CraftingMadeEasy Thank you very much
Do you place the waterslide image side down onto the mug?
If you don't mirror place the waterslide side down on the mug, if you mirror, place the paper side down.
@@CraftingMadeEasy Got it! Can you make a video on how to add a waterslide to a dark cup? I cant seem to get that right
Can this be used on jars?
Yes
Mine tend to curl on the sides as they dry. What causes this? And how can I fix it.
Try putting a little water on the cup when you are applying it. It may be dry near the area it is laying on.
when done, is the mug dishwasher and microwave safe?
you can put it in the microwave, I would only handwash
Hey sis do I have to purchase a special kind of ink if so please list it
Hey. For waterslide, you just need a regular inkjet printer.
if we have Epson inkjet printer then we need to buy inkject waterslide paper, correct?
correct
@@CraftingMadeEasy with regular inkjet ink?
can you use mug heat press instead of oven?
I'm not sure, as I haven't tried it. I would think it might melt the waterslide. But if you cover the image with something and have the temp low, it could work.
I tried it the first one stuck after baking it the second the picture peeled off...I dont know what happened
Did you let it dry for the recommended time? The one is use recommends letting it dry for 3 hours.
Can these mugs be placed in microwave and/or dishwasher?
handwashed only.
handwashed only.
handwashed only.
did you do the black cups yet? I'm interested in that video as well
I did, but it didn't come out the way I wanted it too. I am going to redo them.
What printer did you use?
A canon
how do you print multiply pictures on the paper
Draw a square the size of 6.75x9.25 whatever fits in that box will print on one paper.
Hi everyone, can I get some help? :/ I am having massive printing issues. My printer leaves scratch marks all the time and sometimes the print is totally unusable. My printer back feed uses wheels that make contact with the ink on the paper and leave marks, and my front feed keeps bumping into curved or elevated surfaces on the paper, scratching the ink. Does anyone know how this can be solved?
Many thanks in advance :)
Can they go in the microwave?
No. The particular waterslide I used recommended the oven.
@@CraftingMadeEasy once baked in the oven, can they be put in the microwave?
@@angelg7896 yes
I have tried the water slide mugs but the decal comes off when I wash them. Yes, I did bake them as per manufacture directions. Have you had that problem? Solution?
I have had that problem, but I think my kids put them in the dishwasher. smh
What temperature and how long
Temperature for the water?
Hello, I have this waterslide paper. Have you had any issues with the images coming off even after baking them? I made a mug for my grandfather and the image has come off. Thank you.
Only if I accidentally put it in the dishwasher, but not if I hand wash it.
Where did you purchase the silicone spatula?
Dollar tree in the nail polish, makeup section
@@CraftingMadeEasy thank you.
I always mirror my image, I liked to slide mine from the top
If you mirror do you have to seal it first?
I seen a lady do mirror image and face down and it came out great
I am having issues with my paper bunching on the side. I thought it was because the cup was narrower at the bottom
That may be the issue. Try to remove as much of the clear area that you can.
I think I got the wrong spray I got gloss
Krylon clear spray. it can be gloss or matte
Are ur lips upside down ?
Probably, lol
