    Jennifer, I have been a follower for a long time. I wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the information that you provide. When the gigantic flowers were extremely popular so many people were charging an arm and a leg for flower templates. You gave away free templates. I told everyone I knew. I appreciate your help and educational posts and your willingness to help. Thank you so much, Rhonda

      @@JenniferMaker Hi Jennifer, this tutorial was really easy to follow🤗 You always make them fun and informative😍 The part about baking them in the oven; I heard that the smell is intolerable and it's best not to put them in the oven where you cook, and that it's better to use a toaster oven specifically for water slide decals, in a well ventilated area. What's your take on this, or anyone reading who is familiar with the process?

    I got a Cricut as a gift at Christmas and was not very excited and more than a bit frustrated with the Cricut web site and the Cricut support (there really isn't any). Then I found you!. OH, my goodness. I am spending half the day watching you and then the other half making things. Your videos are thorough, to the point, just excellent! The amount of free stuff on your web site is incredible. God bless you, Jennifer.

  • @CarmieCreech2

    If you apply it like a temporary tattoo, decal side down/waterslide backing up, its SO much easier to remove the paper and not have all the issues with the tiny precision cuts.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you, I was getting really frustrated trying to figure out how to print an image! Usually I would buy wayerslides from companies and I wanted to buy or make images myself and then print them myself instead so I really appreciate you showing how to print then cut in design space!!! 😅
    FYI on the gliter tumblers if you don't want the blurry image then do two coats of epoxy instead of sanding. Sanding creates a matte finish underneath that will not disappear when ypu put the new coat of epoxy on it. When you smooth the surface with the epoxy and don't sand then the image is much clearer!

    You should try printing them mirrored and applying them backwards...if that makes sense. So basically, when you apply, the backing will be facing you instead of under the decal. It is just as vibrant and a million times faster and easier to apply.

      Great idea!

    • @KitCampbell-f9f
      @KitCampbell-f9f 2 місяці тому

      So I don't understand how this method would work. Maybe you can explain it better? When I visualize putting the decal on backwards so that the backing is facing you to me that says when you remove the backing what you are exposing is not what is sealed isn't the point to the acrylic spray to seal the color in to the water paper or the transfer? If you are putting the sprayed side against the blank/cup or whatever, what would be against the removable paper would not be sealed, correct?

      my brain didn't wake up. the sealed surface will be on the mug, and any 'glue' or anything on the waterslide paper will be facing out? I'm not understanding how this works.

    Awesome video but I have a question/concern...You put your water slides on wine glass and coffee mugs, these items are meant to drink from also meaning washing them after. Water slide would just fall off with slight water rinse?? How are you preventing that.As well any cup can get banged or dinged...Image would get scratched??? How do you keep it safe???

    You should note that Waterslide comes in white as well as the clear/transparent. If you use the clear on a dark surface it is a lot harder to see the image and if the image has any white color you need to use the white waterslide not the clear. Also you do not need to seal the waterslide if you use a laser printer.

Go to your Google play store and download one of their free volume adjusters. Be careful not to overpower your phone speakers... I have found only a slight increase helps immensely. If u are using a computer to view, I found many inexpensive simple external speakers that simply plug in. I hope this helps someone!

    Do you have a tutorial on how you can do the print/cut to use the full size of the paper? I have been looking for this and can’t seem to find the setting on my Cricut or in DS. Thank you so much!

    Hi Jennifer. They are so cute. I am deciding on trying waterslide. I have used tatoos. And they are awesome. But you are limited to the designs. Waterslides , the sky is the limit. Thank you. You make everything look so easy. ❤️🇨🇦

    Your tutorials are always timely and perfect to follow. I appreciate your willingness to teach us!! I would really like to learn how to design and create my own ornament stands using the Maker. I’m willing to do the work but can’t seem to wrap my head around the “construction” piece of it. Sometimes, the ornaments I make and give aren’t necessarily Christmas specific and I’d like to provide a non-Christmasy way of year-round display.

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  5 років тому +1

      I've not made an ornament stand before, but I recommend you start with a prototype made by hand then study the pieces and figure out how you can replicate it on a Cricut. :)

    There is a solution you can buy to help set and position your decals. It makes them nice and smooth. Also a better method to wet your decals is to use a sponge in a dish of slightly soapy water. Leaves you with less water on decal and easier to move into position.

    Love watching your videos(even tho I have a Cameo) You give very precise, easy to follow instructions. I do have to crank up my volume to hear you :) You have such a soft, sweet, pleasant voice :) These 64 year old ears have trouble hearing at times :) Keep up the awesome work & thanks for all you do!

      I will boost the audio more on my future videos. Do you have a problem more with the intro (where you see me) or the middle part (where I'm narrating the video)?

    • @michelleprins2939
      @michelleprins2939 5 років тому

      I won't speak for Karol, but I find in most of your videos, the narration is significantly softer/quieter than the "live" bits. Still awesome information!, just have to strain to hear it all.

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  5 років тому

      @@michelleprins2939 That's what I'm wondering. The mic is closer to me when I narrate, and in my software, the volume is the same. BUT because the distance from me to the mic is different, my voice changes a lot, and I think that's why some people find it harder to hear. I will just keep boosting the volume of the narration section until things seem better. :)
