  • @sandrasanders3730
    @sandrasanders3730 3 роки тому

    Hi. Thanks so much for your videos. This is my first time trying this so I'm starting simple. I purchased 16-oz insulated double-wall tumblers (BPA Free Acrylic materials) for a family vacation. I am using my laser jet printer to print on clear waterslide paper. I'm not doing anything else to these clear cups besides these waterslide designs. Should I wash these and dry as you suggested, then follow your instructions with the Brite Tone before and after placing the waterslides? Of course I would wait the appropriate time. I was a little confused about the sandpaper. But I guess that would only be done if your were painting, glittering, or another type of decorating. I feel like if I sand the tumbler, then it will look scratched. Is this correct, or does the Brite Tone make it look smoother? Thanks for your help.

    • @AlisonCrafts
      @AlisonCrafts  3 роки тому

      scuff sand the acrylic with the 400 grit sand paper, then do a few coats of brite tone. Then you can add your waterslide & follow that up with a few more coats!

    EVERY time I use my laser printer to print a decal, it runs or bleeds. I can't figure it out for the life of me. What is the secret?!? I bought this new laser printer just for decals. I used the highest quality settings. I'm super frustrated.

      @@AlisonCrafts Yes! I believe all settings are correct. There might be an issue with the mechanics. There is a dragging line in the center of the paper when I print. It almost looks like an embossing.
