Hey Nancy, I believe waterslide is only available for inkjet and laser printers, I don't think it would work well with sublimation. But you can easily do this with sublimation mugs using a convection oven and shrink wrap. Hope this helps! ---Becky
My mug that I put water slides on starts to peel after washing it. I have sealed with multiple clear coats too.
Hi Peggy! We do recommend handwashing to preserve the life of the design!
Good video thanks
What temperature? Thank you for sharing
250 for 15 minutes. 😊
Hola, la temperatura es en grados celciums o Farenheit
is the waterslide decal dishwasher safe
It is not dishwasher safe, I would definitely recommend hand washing.
Hi! Did you use white or translucent paper for your project? You said to be sure and not use white depending on your project... Just wanted to be sure I'm ordering the right thing. Can you get translucent so there is no border?
The paper can be found here - amzn.to/35IEMPp
You said gentle washing to no dishwasher?
Correct! Thanks for stopping by! ---Becky
I made a couple mugs with this, but after a few days, the decal starting coming off. I didn't put them in the dishwasher, or microwave. I did have hot coffee in them. What did I do wrong?
The heat from the coffee may be making the decal to come off. - Brittany
Can you use a heat gun to cure it instead of putting it in the oven
Hey Lisa! I'm just not sure, I haven't tried it that way. The heat wouldn't be very consistent, so the results may vary. Hope this helps! ---Becky
For the waterslides, can you place them directly onto a tumbler with no glitter/epoxy? I have pink tumbler that I want just a waterslide on.
Hey Amanda, I believe you can but I haven't tested it like I have these ceramic mugs. I may have to do some research on this before giving a definite answer. ---Becky
why can you not use the oven if you baked the item with the decal?
also is it okay to put this in my household oven if it’s just one time?
Hey Brooklyn, I know crafters who have, but I don't know truly if it's safe or not. I would consult the manufacturer of the waterslide if you have more specific questions regarding using your home oven. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Are the cups microwave safe after the waterslide is backed on them? Thank you 😊
Hey Lilliana, no, I do not believe I would put this in the microwave. Hope this helps! ---Becky
I’m sorry if you have answered this already, but could the water slide decals be used in a cup press instead of an oven without destruction of the artwork?
That may be too much heat directly onto the surface, however if you try it please let us know if it works for you! -Brittany
I have made a waterslode with this process, and after 2 washes the decal completely was gone. I hand washed and was very careful. Is there an extra step I can do to secure it on the mug better?
Hey Courtney, I would double-check the time and temperature for baking the decal on. If that part is accurate, I would reach out to the manufacturer. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Can you tell me where to get a tripod like the one in the video? I'm not sure what to put in the Amazon search.
Hey Melissa, this one is a tester I received from a vendor. I think it should go live one day this week. I'll come back and let you know when it's available. Hope this helps! ---Becky
do you have the professional version of the sillouette studio?
Hey Carmen, I do have the Business Edition Upgrade. Hope this helps! ---Becky
so can i handwash this? i just put mine in the oven and i’m nervous to give this to the customer if it’s going to wash off!
I haven't had any of mine was off, but you can give it a test wash if you are nervous. The biggest complication with selling them is that they don't put them in the dishwasher or let them soak. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Do you think this would be microwave safe afterwards?
Hi there! We wouldn't recommend using waterside decals in the microwave. Waterslide decals should be handwashed only as well. If you need any help, just ask! We are here if you need us.
Thanks so much for the information!
What is Silhouette studio? Is it an app or website? Does it cost anything?
It is an app you can download to your computer for use with Silhouette cutting machines. It's completely free to download.
what if you don't have an oven to bake it? is there another way?
@@cynthiacrivello9752 If you don’t have an oven, you can try using a hairdryer to heat the decal and help it set. Just be careful not to overheat the mug. Hope this helps! ☺️
Hi Becky, I just wanna know if I can print using sublimation ink? Or it should be an inkjet printer ink? Sorry if the question seems dumb.
Hey Marie! I have not tried this using sublimation ink but the waterslide I used is intended for inkjet printers. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles thank you so much. Big help as I am on my baby step to printing. Much love 🥰
If you're going to use sublimation ink on a mug, you can't use a regular mug. The ink won't transfer. The mug has to have a special coating. I get mine from Amazon.
