Love seeing how happy and energetic you've been in your recent videos, keep up the good work Christian! Love from Denmark
Thanks for noticing 👊. Never felt better since leaving my last relationship
Can show wraps looking like Ford escape and edge tail lights
Love how the dogs casually just strolled through 😂👍🏼
"now if you can't see that, you shouldn't be driving!" haha Awesome Job!
Okay this has to be the BEST & MOST informative vid there is on UA-cam for wrapping your tail lights. Hands down. I’m definitely saving this one for when I do mine. Awesome. 😮👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you. Due to these tutorials, I have tinted every light in my Porsche Boxster. it is amazing stuff.
watching so intently at your work, and I get all happy when I see the Ontario plates. this is only my second video I've watched. Oshawa native here, thanks for sharing.
Just finished wrapping my taillights with the VViViD Hexagon light smoke vinyl. I like the subtle hexagon pattern in the film. I enjoy watching your channel. It’s really detailed and informative. Thanks for the how to video’s I’ve learned a lot of good info.
Awesome end result. I've never attempted tinting lights but this would be the guide to refer everyone to. Thanks!
Love that! Thank you for sharing!! These are the best diy videos I have found for tint
The hex is much smaller than it appears on Amazon! Great work as always sir!
I'm doing my hex tail lights today! Great video and Thank you from Nebraska.
Great content! very informative. Keep it up man! Love the color of your genesis too.
You make it look so effortless and easy.
Do like this new tint they have put & the VLT is great too. Thought would be lighter when on the car, but it looks great & kinda surprised at how “dark” it actually is....COOL.
Cheers✌🏻
Your explanations are fantastic. I’ve purchased & used this product, flats are easy these contours tough.
My hex tint is arriving in the mail today! Super psyched for my first vinyl job
You do awesome work and have give two👍👍for the DETAILED tutorials you do. I just order the dark smoke tint to do my lights all the way around my 2000 Silverado.
Hell ya Christian bro keep up the good work homie much love from Denver Colorado!!!
Nice job. Thanks for the demo. Ordered the film, and i’m going to try it on my Kia Optima rear lights. Greetings from the Netherlands
Still Saying. Awesome work. Awesome explaining. Perfect Channel 👌
great video as always...thanks ckwraps
Chris, your an awesome teacher!
Dude that paint is just beautiful! 👍🏻👍🏻
Psssst! It's a wrap! 😄
Thanks for all the info...kida gets additive after a while ...awesome
Just wrapped my headlights with this looks awesome
Thanks for the vid man I'm looking for some tint for my taillights and ran across this hex pattern stuff looks good on your car I think I'm going to pull the trigger.
For a second I was being a skeptic, then you hit that sucka with the heat gun and it damn near wrapped itself!!! Bravo señor!
I'm debating wrapping my truck, glad to see you using vivid, seems like they have some negative reviews however, now I see it's all application error haha.
Ck wraps. Never disappoints. Always giving us content
Just got mine in today. I'll post some pics after I install this weekend. Love the videos .
How did it hold up?
@@DG-888 it held up good . I got new lights last month and it's still as good it was a year ago. Minus a few stone chips. Removed easily but needed some goo gone to get all the adhesive off. It was also a little darker than thought it would have been through the drivers view. But from a spectator's view you cant really notice with lights on at night. I'd do it again if I needed to.
@@governmentequalsmindcontrol cool thanks.
Really cool effect. Thanks for sharing.
Wanted to say thanks, I just did my reflectors on my f31 with the hex tint.
27:49 "if you can see these taillights, you shouldn't be driving, you definitely have vision problems" LOL, caught me so off guard
Im waitin for my package to arrive so i'll have this tint soon 😎
The pattern is barely noticeable, which is a nice touch! Like it a lot, nice Job.
Great video again Chris, we in the UK have a tint called fly eye which is similar to what you have just installed but I see ur hex patterns on the film, unlike fly eye which is perforated.
Looks much better than the one you used before 👍
best wrap channel on youtube.
The dog playing in the background is the best!
Ive got a bunch of this hex patterned tint sitting in my garage, need a day with some decent warm weather so i can try it out. When i do tho, I'll get some pics for ya!
Your Licensplate........gorgeous !
Finally someone made a film that seems easy to work with like luxe taillight film.
Christian, you make it look quite easy. I've wasted a small roll on just one BMW E90 tail-light, albeit it wasn't the Vivid brand, it was just a far cheaper brand off ebay UK, which requires a 98% water and 2% baby shampoo solution for adhesion, with squeegee and heat gun. Wasted hours and followed their instructions 100%, but just couldn't get it to curve round to the rear-SIDE of the car without badly creasing & air bubbles on edges. A total nightmare and waste of time &;money. I'll maybe go for the Vivid (UK buy) and try your awesome advice, or just get all my lights done professionally, as although I'm quite patient, this job really tested me and I ended up ripping it off in anger (a few times). Thanks for sharing!!
Dang it, Christian... I swear that you are making me go broke... LOL.. just got my nightshade vinyl in from Vvivid today, now I have to order this too.....
Great job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💥
I just did my taillights with this vinyl u made it look easy dope tho
Wow, this hex tint looks great! I wonder if it would work/show the pattern on the B-pillars of a car?
Very informative ty
Great video...im trying this weekend. One question...if time comes to remove tint does it mess lights up?
If you get a chance, a 15 ford escape would be awesome. They have a weird formation that makes it difficult to wrap
Hi CK, can you show how to tint a Mini Paceman or Countryman. Love your Chanel by the way. Keep it UP.
Greetings from Holland.
very nice! I'm thinking of using the light tined hex wrap on my headlights after I polish them to help keep them from hazing up again. Do you know if vinyl tint will help protect the plastic? Thanks!
Looks great
Nice 👍Is it possible to layer films? I tinted my white tails with red but would like them smoked-red... have you ever applied film-on-film?
Also, it’s quite hard to get hold of Vvivid here in UK and Amazon US doesn’t ship all the colours; is the light smoke a neutral grey? The genetics film I bought is a little ‘brown’... thanks
Great work with superb details provided. what is the exact model of that stunning car
Thank You!
I recently bought the dark smoke to do the taillights on my new Tacoma. I'm now wondering if it's going to be too dark. Do you have a video showing the install of the dark Hex?
I have to say that nightshade is absolutely stunning. Do you have any pictures of it outside in the sun?
What wrap is on the car? 💜 looks amazing😻.... is their a similar color without the orange tones on top (pure purple)?
Hey Christian, great video! I was wondering if you could give a few pointers to me in my attempt to wrap a splitter I have. I’m just wasting material at this point. I’m using vvivid carbon fiber, the one that looks dry.
You’re lights are easy bro! Mine seemed way more a challenge but took off the dark black VVIVID (which I screwed up and had to go, first tint attempt) for this Hex Dark Black and it is way cooler lookin, good call and with minimal stretching the hex pattern still looks great, I wish I could send a pic cause I’m proud of the tints, not perfect yet but I’m getting better with all I do and all your vids I watch, keep’em comin brother
very easy tail lights to wrap. I just wraped my 3IS tail lights last night and it was not as easy as this
Thanks for such a helpful tutorial, Christian! Besides avoiding automatic car washes, any other recommendations for cleaning/maintaining the light wraps? I gave you a shout-out on my Amazon review 🙌🏻
Hey Alyssa, thank you for the shoutout 🙌. You shouldn't need to do much to maintain the tint. You can wax it, use detail spray or even ceramic coat it for maximum life. Depending on the UV exposure, over time the tint will fade but this is common with almost any film. Ceramic coating will help with longevity and prevent fade from UV.
CK is there anyway you can wrap the Pontiac GTO Ram Air hood I heard they were really hard hoods to wrap I'd like to see some examples and some starting points to wrapping the hood
Pattern reminds me of a 4th gen Firebird
Would love to see you do this on a 10th gen Accord
What are you using for the wall mounted rack holders? I've seen them before, but I don't remember what they were actually for!
New look 💪
Hey question do you have a video of a Hyundai roof trim removal ? I'm doing a 2018 Elantra sport roof vynal wrapped ,, if you do can you please send me the link of any Hyundai I guess will work,, thanks, Nestor
Hey Christian,
Quick question. I live in Mississauga Ontario but not sure of the “legalities” of tint here. You may know, is it an issue if I tint my headlights dark smoke? Have you done that before? Has it ever been an issue for headlights to go that dark?
Thanks in advance :)
Hi! I ordered my tint today, just waiting on it to get here. I have a question, what would you do for screw holes on the lens? Im going to be applying it to a 1994 toyota pickup and the lens has 4 screw holes. What can I do to address that?
Do you have any experience applying the Vvivid tail light film on lenses that have been ceramic coated???
thanks master
Hello, I love your videos. I live in California. Do you have any dealer you can recommend me to get my tail lights tinted?
Hey bro, how much would you charge to install this exact tint on the tail lights of a 2018 Honda Civic Si Coupe? I'm in the GTA and been looking to get the lights tinted.
Wow, Love this , Thank you. I want to try this on my 2015 Toyota Venza, and have been looking for something with SOME color, not too much color, and looking at the Hex Light smoked with the color, is very nice. I really wanted to get a Clear rear lens, but, they dont make them, lol, LIke they have on the Toyota Sienna's. So, This is very nice. My friend who is 65 years old, woman, is telling me to go with color, I like to be Classy, but, fun. Because, usually women, my age dont do these things, and before i get really old, i want to be classy and fun all the same time. What is the best for me???
Hey hopefully you get to see this and reply. I’m looking to wrap some interior pieces of my car and would like to do a teal but I’m having a hard time finding something. I’ve done some of the cheap eBay tints but they’re pretty crappy to work with. Recently I worked with some 3m 1080 in a metallic gloss red but I’m not finding a teal I like in that model. Could you recommend some other good easy to DIY vinyl
Can you wrap a Chevy Bolt taillight? I’d like to see how you would do it. I’m trying again this weekend. First try I got wrinkles I didn’t know how to make go away. I also used heat and stretch too many times and the film ripped in the middle. Hopefully it stays at only a $20 learning curve.
How would you do this on a set of C7 corvette tail lights with deep in sets??
where did you get those mounts for the vinyl you have on the wall ?
Where did you get those film wall mounting brackets?
Oye disculpa, cuando estiras el vinyl los hexágonos se deforman o se alargan? Tengo la idea de que ya no se verían con las mismas formas originales
Do your have tutorial wrapping model 3 tail lights?
The hex pattern probably helps the light become more visible, do you reckon?
"if you can't see that , you guys should not be driving" -- put that on a t-shirt!
Can I use this to wrap my toolbox?
Link to the vinyl racks you have on the wall please?
Would it not be easier to actually remove the tail lights and then wrap them? On my e92, to remove the tails, it's 3 nuts that have to be loosened and the connector. Super easy.
what color wrap is that? i like the purple color
What do you think about covering just the red part, instead of the whole tail light?
Thinking about doing it on my car, thought it might have a better contrast, resulting in better looks, specially when a car is black like mine.
David Aleksic - That’s how he had them before. Check the ‘removing 4 year old tint’ video
@@c7uk Oh yeah, thanks!
Is there a video on how to put them on? :D
David Aleksic - I guess there is but I don’t have a link, sorry!
Why are your amazon links for the US amazon site, and not the CAN website?
I'm not going to lie, I just tried to wrap my headlights using vivid premium+ light smoke tint, but it was a bit hard. It's probably just my headlights that are difficult.
cant really see the hex patter when installed, it just looks like regular light smoke tint ?
Hallo mt friend tell me please how can i buy this film for stop lights and where?. Thank you
Hey man ive been watching your vids for a while and everytime i watch these videos i always wonder the same thing, why dont you just remove the headlight or taillight then tint it? wouldnt that be easier and neater since you dont need to tape and you can put the tint around the edge which doesnt matter since you cant see the back of the light. im gonna wrap my headlights soon and im gonna just takeoff the headlights since i assume that would be easier for me. is there a reason why i cant do that? or is it just person preference? thanks man!
personal*
If you remove the lights then they will "float" which means you have no leverage to be able to stretch the film around the light unless you're able to mount it to something stable.
@@CKWraps ohhh ok that does make sense i was thinking of using a table vice to see if i can somehow mount it using that. wish you were in indiana id just have you do it! loll
Do you have any tail lights you won't even touch? My tint guy is having a doozy of a time getting my 10th gen civic hatchback to cooperate, there's just too many hard angles and bulges and creases.
My hex pattern on my film is really distinctive. Is that normal? Cause I can't see it on his film.
I'm rolling over here my man said if you cannot see this you need to stay off the road
Any alternative for Vvivid in EU?
I used gas to get rid of VHT night shade and my taillight spiderwebed
How much of an investment do i need if i want to do this for a side hustle, 3-5 cars per week max?
Sold! Ordering from Amazon now! Question...2014 Camaro.. knifeless tape to cut out back up lights or go slow and use a knife? Thanks Christian! Love the videos!
I've done it freehand on my car but you can use Knifeless, it works
Ok thanks! Appreciate it! I'll try to post some shots!
Looking forward to seeing them
