Sadly matt only had 1 character able to accept the challenges or I wouldve challenged 3-4 of them He played it really well with the pyros tbh and stalled my entire attack with it, shame for me the game winning manoeuvre happened so early haha Angron does (have Precision) but I dont think can strike out of challenges using it (ill look it up now!)
@@BearfootMiniatures no you can't hit anything outside of the challange and wounds do not spill like in first edition. You just gotta play Angron smart. Don't issue challanges and if challanges are issued from the other side, accept them with someone else if possible. Angron's attacks are to valuable to be lost all on one model.
Wounds from Precision Strikes can be allocated to anyone in the engaged unit “rather than following the normal rules for wound allocation” so you can ignore the normal challenge rules. I think this makes sense so Sargents can’t soak up all a Primarchs attacks when someone like Angron would just tare through the squad.
Good time! Backing up with the WE assault under Angron would not have been my first choice, but I see how you got there, Really like your HH content. Great guest.
Ye, in hindsight i maybe should of just carried on going down the guts as what i did didnt work, I wanted to preserve him a bit till my other troops came in, Matt played it really well though credit to him and put me in a horrible position with angron straight away!
Cool bat rep! Not a big fan of reserves for this reason but i do like that WE list Don't think melta bombs auto hit like krak grenades? And Angron cant evade if he's fearless?
Ye shafted myself to start with I think with all the reserves, especially not having any reserves manipulation (though the damage was done I think by reserves time anyway) and good shout on the angron bit, completely forgot that one!
seems to be, I can take an entire army thats pinning vs an army with one pinning unit and end being pinned more than the enemy.... Stupid Ld tests, ive just not had enough practice to pass enough
The veterans got pinned by the interceptor advanced reaction - is there not a rule (I think it's on page 159 of the core rules, unfortunately I am mid house move so don't have the book to hand) which exempts you from taking leadership (and pinning) tests as part of reactions if you are the unit being reacted to? Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.
Multi melta would be a 7 with armour bane melta against flare sheild. If he was within 12 hed still be able to ruin the spartans day, assuming he was that close.
Ruh row: did I forget the shield!? Think the key came from the stalled primach but I’ll try and remember it more (actually really rare that I use a Spartan!)
@BearfootMiniatures no you just said a 7 wouldnt be able to.hurt him when measuring melta range. A 7 plus 2 d6 could still do some damage and doesnt ignore the melta rule is all, which is what it looked like in that moment based on the way the roll was edited
@@velocitiyraptor oooop got it the wrong way round haha Will try to be aware for future ref incase I imagine Matt would’ve called it if he was in melta cos he’s good for checking, he’s a madman with a tape measure!
haha it was the only thing i could think to do to keep him alive till my reserves came in (and then hopefully forcing him to split his fire wouldve allowed angron to start taking off, but was not to be Matt played it great with the Pyroclasts and I think that one move getting stuck by 5 clasts lost me the game so fast as the entire attack stalled out
@@robinhood6990 I’ve actually got Dom that I used to do a heresy podcast with coming up for a week with his Night Lords and Dark Angels, so should have a good bank of videos after that!
haha I was just hoping to not have angron get charged and to get the charge instead, but obv didnt end up like that (tbh potentially I shouldve just charged him in and challenged my way into the unit
2 of my favourite legions, loved every minute of this batrep!
Glad you enjoyed it mate!
Angron can issue any number of challanges in fights in HH 2.0,he also might have precision strikes as well?great game gents

Wounda dealt in challange still count in determining the winner of combat.

Both armies looked great, but those Primarchs in particular were just gorgeous. Especially Angron.
Thanks mate! ill pass it along to rich and matt!

Awesome to see these armies and primarchs on the channel!
Makes me want to paint up Maggy!
get it done mate! theyre great for a little spice every now and then I think (even if im not someone who would run one all the time)
Going forward, remember you can't do these legion's advanced reactions with your Primarch as its states infantry unit type models.
eeeeeh mental that one: such a shame really (especially as Imperial fists and Space wolves dont have that stipulation for their out of turn charge)
Great game. Fun to watch. Love the banter!
Cheers mate! Great to hear you enjoyed it!

Did that one on the corner bring it up until it's on the inside? It did that last time with Angron...nngh!
Love it another Heresy report!
Just a heads up, Angron cannot use the advanced reaction, it specifies Infantry unit, the primarchs are Unique so cannot use it
Ahhh gutted, didn’t even think! Good spot, I’ll remember it next time
See Max, pinning is a totally workable tactic in the game... Against you.

Turns out if you play Angron like a coward, he dies like a coward! Loved seeing you get smashed ❤
hahhaa agreed I shouldve let him get bonked on the head by vulcan, was just hoping he could come back and in greater numbers ne next turn!
Great game - thanks 👍
Thanks mate; glad you enjoyed watching it!
Can Primarchs use the Evade reaction? I think Fearless will prevent it?
they cant sadly: messeg this one up
Amazing!
Thanks mate! thanks for watching!
Good to see that WE army has now sold despite the result!

It only exempts you from moral tests not pinning tests.

This is how my game went against Matt and his Salamanders went, but with more terrible volkite! 😂 - Aaron

Yes!!! is it just me or is their alot more Salamanders stuff out here the last month or so??? Anyway wuw!!
Glad your happy with it mate!
Definitely skipping the spooky film and instead enjoying great HH content. Appreciate showing army diversity on the channel!
Ill try to get more on mate, I need to get a loyalist legion tbh, cos ye... my IW all the time I am conscious of becoming/being stale
Would love to see night lords on the channel, love your content BTW great batreps and I really enjoy your rules discussions

@BearfootMiniatures nice! Would be cool to do a Thramas themed battle
Bringing Angron to a fight and then run away from Vulkan? Really? That was Angron or Corax? LOL- That was VERY disappointing TBH

I think epic is still a better game than everything else but I wonder if it will be good content to watch.
Also less travel Jason and moar heresy!!! 😂
That´s some good-looking stuff.. :) HH almost makes me get back into Farty K..
Thanks mate! I dont know if farty K narrows down to game down though haha
Lol ive never lost to salamanders when i use world eaters heheh in over 120 matches
It wasnt my finest hour: the reserves were a very 1.0 choice I think and not squashing the clasts was a huge blow!
I care to disagree. Nomus Rhy'than have the WORST hammer :D Made by Vulcan, Unwieldy, no brutal, S+2... That is how bad it is :(
Oooooh that is bad, thats barely better than an axe! two handed or specialist aswell?
@@BearfootMiniatures no specialist, but two-handed. Literally worst hammer in the game :-)
